I've been using that same Samsung SSD with that same cable for several years now. I love it and never had it fail to work. My cable came with the Samsung drive for drive cloning.
This channel is THE MOST UNDERRATED channel on RUclips to me. The quality of the videos is exceptional, and the information is top notch! Contrast that with fluff like Peter Mckinnon which has literally no real useful information. Keep up the great work! I hope to see more subs in the future.

Hello i am using the same SSD with a external reader and when i try to erase with disk utility it is talking to long and nothing happens
So there was no trouble or read/write slowdown even though you can't run the TRIM function on an SSD connected to a USB port? (at least that's what I've read)

Which is the best and secure external SSD drive format for Mac and PC like exFAT, APFS because I heard that if we are using exFAT drive format the files are getting corrupted.

Hey dude great video! I just have a few questions about another brand of ssd I bought and it seems some features are blocked by a pay wall. Do u have a solution to this problem? I don't want to back up my whole pc, just store game files and photos. But it wants me to pay at minimum 60 dollars on top of the 50 I paid for the physical ssd. HELP!

Damien, you need to be very careful with that drive you use there. That one you have in this video, I searched it up and it came out to be the Samsung 870 qvo ssd, which is based on 4 level cells, and the write speed goes down to 160MB/s after 168GB of written data.

it is always unsafe to put all your files in ONE BIG ssd/hdd. if your computer fails and your 8TB of 4TB drive got affected or if god forbid you've been victimized by a ransomware all your files are gone. never put your eggs in one basket.
of course not.. But I have a bit under 200TB here. So 4TB is not one basket :D I do have single projects exceeding 3TB though
