All the parts "you can get at a shop" should come with the kit !!
Props to the guy for explaining everything with detail 👌🏽
Thanks man, that is the OX Brake owner, Chuck.
Just bought one... so excited. Great invention Chuck! I love the redundancy of the system... if the hand system leaks or fails, the foot lever will still work! Genius.
MusicBox Where did you buy yours
Slavens is the only place
Guys you can also buy directly from chuck at ox-brake.com 👍🏽
This brake is awesome and OX has great customer service! The brake fit perfectly. I didnt need to adjust it or bleed it. I haven't been out on the trail yet but the ability to modulate the control and lock the rear tire up on asphalt with one finger is incredible.
Wow!! Great video. Answered all my questions. Ordering mine now. Thank you 😁
Sooooo we have to find a Shimano bleed kit for our Ox-Brake system that uses a Magura brake lever? You wouldn't happen to have a part number on that....
its not magura with dot in; looks like formula or possibly hayes stroker to me.
Just a quick questions, do you push the pin back down on the oxbrake that connects to the rear master cylinder?
So theres no auto release if you move forward, right ? like a line lock sorta .
Trailbound ram sticker at 10:26 🤘🤘 my girlfriend has the new rekluse brake but we can’t get it to hold pressure think she might try this one
How would you know where to adjust the plunger on the OX brake if you messed up the initial measurement on the stock plunger? Asking for a friend. ;)
Can I get one for a Yamaha yz ?
I’m curious if you make a lever for the right side? I’m having trouble retraining my brain from BMX racing
This looks awesome...but anyone have experience switching levers ?. I want a right hand rear brake...left hand front brake ..like bmx /mtb...in theory everything should work ???
Can you use the rear brake pedal also? Or is it either or like the rekluse? Thanks
yes you can. Your rear brake will remain the same and this doesn't tie in. Both the LHRB and your foot brake will be 2 independent systems. if one fails the other still works great. NOT like the recluse version that ties into your clutch MC
Bought the hydro for my 21’ 501. Terrible! Now it looks like their marketing the junk I received as the trail version, and now they have one that is claimed to be the most powerful on the market. Tired of the crappy engineering and scams.
Great vid
So....about that follow up video.
David Scraggs sorry for the wait - lil Wayne
Very cool vid. I dig the the Jackpiner blue plastics...where did you get them? Or did you spray them?
Diego Fianza hey man thanks! The plastics are the Acerbis + Troy Lee Designs plastic kit for the XC bike. They don’t make them for this bike, the XCW, but you can mod them to work 👍🏽
Is it possible to use the ox with a mtb break ? Magura mt7 for example ? Amazing video
Hm not sure on that. Doubt it bc it uses a clevis, but not sure
My Ox Brake is like squeezing a marshmallow with a pair of plastic pliers. How do I upgrade to aluminum pliers?
something is wrong in the system for sure. You should be able to lock up a rear knobby with one finger. call chuck from his website
@@rokfoxmedia5211 nope. and now it goes to the grip with no effect on the rear brake.
I had an Ox-brake cable operated left hand rear brake on my last bike. I have switched and was going to get a Clake. Then I saw this video. I am very curious how it worked out on the trail. When I had my last Ox-brake, I had a rekluse also. So that allowed me to focus on only one lever; the left hand rear brake lever. I worry that now that I do not have a rekluse (and do not plan to have one) I may have issues dealing with two levers. I have a 2018 TX300 now and am very excited to get a left hand rear brake. Any feedback so far? Are you able to position the levers close enough so you are able to use both at the same time?

Did you test the OX brake with your non Recluse clutch? I really am interested in this product but don’t want to buy a Recluse.
@@JS-ny8sn I never did try the ox brake without the rekluse. I am considering putting this hydra on my Husky tx300 without the rekluse. I am not sure how it will go. But I think if you train yourself to modulate with control then the left hand rear brake should be fine in most situations. I am ruling out the possibility of using both the brake and clutch at the same time.

I appreciate your fast response.
I have a 2017 300 XC. I think I will try the hydra as well. I have been trying to think if it would be possible to pull the clutch and the brake at the same time. I guess some people have mounted the LHB above the clutch lever, this seems like a potential problem accidentally grabbing the brake. I don’t want to buy a thousand dollar clutch, don’t want to put the bike in neutral on every down hill and don’t want to overheat the brake system using rear brake with power to the wheel. Lol, I am probably overthinking it 🙃
@@JS-ny8sn with the bimbo brakes on the ktm I think you'll be able to modulate the brake really well with out stalling it. I am planning to leave my clutch where I like it and then put the brake below it that way it is harder to mix them up and when I am standing up and need the brake I can grab it. If I'm sitting, I'm not that worried about it. I can sit and use the foot pedal. Standing is a bit harder. Its just like most things, you'll have to get used to it.
Learn how to use your clutch guys.
Is it powerfull enought to stunt with this brake?
Total piece of crap. The ox rear brake will not lock up your rear brake like rocky mountain claims in there video, shit it barley even slows down my ktm-500exc-f. Dont waste your hard earned $300 dollars with rocky mountain. They will tell you to piss into wind with any kind of refund.
stfuliberal this is about the product, has nothing to do with Rocky Mountain. And chances are you’re having issues cause 1- you have too much or not enough free play in brake pedal or 2- the 10mm square nut was not set to the stock clevis’ height. Both of which are covered in detail in the vid. But I’m sure none of that’s possible and it’s surely everyone else’s fault and the thousands of satisfied buyers are shilling for ox, huh? FOH
I said same but I bled it out twice and it’s really works now. I think they shipped with air in the system. I bought a 20$ bleeder kit on Amazon it’s a game changer.
@@endurowarrior bled with dot4 as he says or mineral as it says on the product ?
@@taltamir3 depends. The new one works with Royal Blood. The old one works with dot 3 or 4. But don’t use Royal Blood in the older version, it’s going to brake the piston.
