EnduroCross 2019 Round 2- Denver Race & Laydowns
Просмотров 6 тыс.5 лет назад
Round 2 of the 3 round Endurocross series in Denver Colorado. KTM Factory Racing's Taddy B #111 took the overall winning 2/3 motos. Taddy & Colton Haaker battled back and forth all night and put on a great show, as did the amateurs, intermediates, & women's. Notable race notes: A women (Shelby Turner) beat out all guys in the intermediate class for the first time ever as well. Women's race foot...

Been seeing this damper creep up on the bikes of factory riders so really was interested in what all the buzz was about. This kit is awesome and will be staying on the bike.

Zac Speed Review | Sprint Pack | POV Harness VS GoPro Chesty

We check out the Sprint pack from Zac Speed and compare the footy from a GoPro chest mount and a Karma Grip! These packs are super cool, they have this modular Configr 8 system that allows you to put attachments from a chest protector and load out vest all directly on to your back so there are no competing shoulder straps while you ride. Pretty rad design and completely bomb-proof construction.

OX Brake Installs their new Hydraulic Left Hand Rear Brake (LHRB) on my 2018 KTM 300 Six Days. I have had their cable system on for the last year and loved it. This latest generation will give me even more control over the rear brake using a lever. Check them out at OX-BRAKE.COM. The system ships already bled and ready to mount. Is it easier to wheelie with a hand brake?
Will this work on a YZ 250?
Just a quick questions, do you push the pin back down on the oxbrake that connects to the rear master cylinder?
Are the Yamaha ones available?
Me gustaría probar que tacto tiene, me parece muy interesante
Where can I find the Yamaha version? Only seeing KTM/Sherco/Beta on their site.
So theres no auto release if you move forward, right ? like a line lock sorta .
Its been 8 months since this posting but still no released unit for sale. Is it available to the public any time soon? Still testing?
Where’s the hydra version be helpful if you could actually buy it 👍
I'm currently trying to enhance my riding experience by optimizing the efficiency of my left hand rear dirtbike brake. I've noticed that it doesn't seem to provide as much friction as I believe it should, meaning the wheel isn't held as firmly as I'd like when the brake is applied. I know that several factors could influence this, including the brake pads' condition, the rotor's condition, and the brake fluid's quality. I've checked all these and everything seems to be in good order, which leads me to think that there might be an issue with the brake's configuration or setup. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, how did you resolve it? Are there any recommendations for specific brake models or configurations that provide better friction and wheel hold? Is there a specific brake bleeding technique that might enhance the brake's efficiency? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Where do you find the hydraulic brake for a Yamaha? I can only find the cable actuated version.
This is so sick I'm so happy to order mine 😭😭😭
Where’d you find it? I can’t find a hydraulic Yamaha brake. Just the cable brake.
How would you know where to adjust the plunger on the OX brake if you messed up the initial measurement on the stock plunger? Asking for a friend. ;)
i dont see this on the website can you send me the link to where i can find this
Same. I can only find the cable Ox brake for a Yamaha. The hydra pro is nowhere to be found.
I’m curious if you make a lever for the right side? I’m having trouble retraining my brain from BMX racing
Wish i had never tried one of these . Now im hooked.
Where did you find a hydraulic one for a YZ250?
Were did you procure the cable guides attached by the zip ties?
Good job, did your cable burn up on your muffler yet? Cause it will unless ya route it outside your frame , and underthe frame guardes
Thanks man! No, everything is good. This was installed by the owner of ox so I’m confident it’s correct. It does route outside of the frame for a sec. It’s the 4strokes that have to be super careful and stay outside.
Love the idea the price is ridiculous...
Chuck is awesome!! I have his system on my Husky and love it…
Ski-doc, question. Whats the proper way of getting the board ready prior to waxing? Clean base? Is Goo-gone a good alternative?Wipe with cloth? Than brush existing wax base or keep it? If brush existing what type of brush do you use? Nylon or you can go more aggressive?
Mine has lost all pressure. How do you bleed this thing?
Bought the hydro for my 21’ 501. Terrible! Now it looks like their marketing the junk I received as the trail version, and now they have one that is claimed to be the most powerful on the market. Tired of the crappy engineering and scams.
Sweet Jesus- who is that old timer. He’s a straight beast. That’s the guy you want looking out for ya when shit goes sideways. If I was a wealthy racer I would beg him to be my tech and tell him to name his price. And he would tell me to kick rocks no doubt.
How are you Liking it long term
This brake is awesome and OX has great customer service! The brake fit perfectly. I didnt need to adjust it or bleed it. I haven't been out on the trail yet but the ability to modulate the control and lock the rear tire up on asphalt with one finger is incredible.
Why this is only for a 2 stroke? Can you explain me Please the reason and the difference? Why I cant use it on a 4 stroke (exc 350 20212 from germany) Thank you
You can use on either. They are telling you that the routing of the line has to be different for 2 and 4 strokes because you will melt through the nylon brake line and the rear brake will fail.
The first part of the vid he's putting it on a 4-stroke, the second part is a 2-stroke. The only difference in installation is the routing of the cable so it doesn't melt....
I know what i am getting myself for Christmas, very cool product!
I just installed a Rekluse Radius CX on my 2020 Beta 390 RRS. I'd love to have this product on my bike but it like you don't offer it for Beta. True?
I installed this new PRO version on my 2017 KTM 350 XCF that has a Rekluse Radius CX auto clutch (my favorite thing on any bike) last week. Super easy install. Took two rides so far. - First ride I had a hard time adjusting to it, kept grabbing clutch instead and it was too hard to get to brake handle. Was about to give up but said to myself, no give this a fair chance. Focused on just using brake for the rest of the day. Got better, and more used to it. Realizing I wasn't using clutch at all with no issues. So when I got home I made some adjustments, raised the clutch way up, and raised the brake handle up to a natural position. - Second ride, OMG, I am in LOVE!!!!! Lever position is key. This hydra pro GREATLY increased my braking modulation, speed, and control. No SKIDDING if I didn't want to, but it will lock up the wheel no problem. I found that with the foot break on the super fast trails it was just too hard not to mash my foot down and lock up the wheel. But with this it is a natural brake feel, like riding a mountain bike. It gave me a lot more confident racing on the trails knowing my stopping was going to be more predictable. Going fast in the woods isn't all about twisting the throttle, but more about knowing how to slow down properly. I was able to legitimately hang with two riders A class riders on this second ride, whereas they would always pull ahead of me before. I was so psyched about that. It also allows me to ride standing up easier as now I don't have to worry about foot braking from a standing position. A few notes: 1. I didn't receive the wire in my package, so I had to use zip ties to seal the rubber boot. That's fine as I actually prefer them. (you also may need to trim the length of the boot.) 2. Don't use the foot brake and this at the same time as you will get hydraulic feedback. 3. I had to put the tightening nut all the way up to the top as if it was any any lower I couldn't get the foot lever on. But that may be because I have my foot brake lower than the peg. 4. I zip tied the cable to the frame sort of under the plastic to protect it from getting rubbed on by my boot. All in all, I can't recommend this enough if you have an auto clutch, it's a serious game changer! Thank you so much Chuck, this is an AWESOME product!

I have a Rekluse CX on my "19 350 SX-F with the left rear handbrake. Same setup on my new '22 350 XC-F. I do not use the clutch so i have it rolled out of the way, and have the handbrake in the best ergonomic position. I removed the stock clutch lever and use a similar brake lever as the clutch (you have to have some sort of clutch in place to be able to check Rekluse "gap" with the rev). Its smaller and allows for better positioning for both levers at the bar.
@@mikeylee3017 yeah that's the same thing I do... However I also have an Alta mxr electric dirt bike and on that one I installed a regular brembo master cylinder as the left hand rear brake, and totally got rid of the foot break and oh my goodness that thing breaks so smooth and easy it's like heaven compared to the ox break it's not even close comparison night and day. If I didn't have to keep the clutch on my 350 I would totally switch over to that as a left-hand rear brake as it's night and day better than the ox brake pro. Only problem is the brembo master cylinder is way too big to have two of them on the bar at the same time they wouldn't fit.
Fit a 701 SM too? I would presume.
Yes
All the parts "you can get at a shop" should come with the kit !!
The video was good, but it could’ve gone into a teeny bit more detail especially mounting on the handlebar and repositioning the light switch to make everything work ergonomically on the handlebars set up. Also, the detail hooks up the new hydraulic slave cylinder to the rear pedal. It wasn’t clear, and I couldn’t see the close-up pictures. Other than that, I think I got the gist of how this thing works. Thank you
This looks awesome...but anyone have experience switching levers ?. I want a right hand rear brake...left hand front brake ..like bmx /mtb...in theory everything should work ???
This looks awesome...but I want it on my right hand side ..and front brake on the left ...been riding bmx / mtbs for 40yrs...rear brake is ALWAYS been right handed ...would this system work like this.???
I feel you it definitely would feel better on the right like it is for pedal bikes but unfortunately the right side is your throttle not sure but I think it’s not possible because of that I’m ok with it on the left anything is better than nothing
dude, just get it, it's a total GAME CHANGER!!!!
We have customers that have mounted it to the right side. Please email us @ support@oxbrake.com for photos, or with any other questions. Thanks!
Will this work on a KTM 2017 SMCR?
Link for the Produkt magura ????
Why are the website instructions on routing totally different than this video? The website instructions have you routing it thru the headlight bucket and down the right side.
Sooooo we have to find a Shimano bleed kit for our Ox-Brake system that uses a Magura brake lever? You wouldn't happen to have a part number on that....
its not magura with dot in; looks like formula or possibly hayes stroker to me.
Great meeting you today and chatting at iAuto. Great channel! This video reminded me of when I got my first dirt bike. A ktm 65, 2 stroke. Best wishes to you and all you do going forward!
Great vid
Can you use the rear brake pedal also? Or is it either or like the rekluse? Thanks
yes you can. Your rear brake will remain the same and this doesn't tie in. Both the LHRB and your foot brake will be 2 independent systems. if one fails the other still works great. NOT like the recluse version that ties into your clutch MC
My Ox Brake is like squeezing a marshmallow with a pair of plastic pliers. How do I upgrade to aluminum pliers?
something is wrong in the system for sure. You should be able to lock up a rear knobby with one finger. call chuck from his website
@@rokfoxmedia5211 nope. and now it goes to the grip with no effect on the rear brake.
How long should I keep my bike wot for being stopping to do the chop?
not very long just hit wide open for a sec then let off and hold in clutch and find neutral
What was your range on the new tank? Stock carb, Lectron, Smart carb?
Is it powerfull enought to stunt with this brake?
Trailbound ram sticker at 10:26 🤘🤘 my girlfriend has the new rekluse brake but we can’t get it to hold pressure think she might try this one
Total piece of crap. The ox rear brake will not lock up your rear brake like rocky mountain claims in there video, shit it barley even slows down my ktm-500exc-f. Dont waste your hard earned $300 dollars with rocky mountain. They will tell you to piss into wind with any kind of refund.
stfuliberal this is about the product, has nothing to do with Rocky Mountain. And chances are you’re having issues cause 1- you have too much or not enough free play in brake pedal or 2- the 10mm square nut was not set to the stock clevis’ height. Both of which are covered in detail in the vid. But I’m sure none of that’s possible and it’s surely everyone else’s fault and the thousands of satisfied buyers are shilling for ox, huh? FOH
I said same but I bled it out twice and it’s really works now. I think they shipped with air in the system. I bought a 20$ bleeder kit on Amazon it’s a game changer.
@@endurowarrior bled with dot4 as he says or mineral as it says on the product ?
@@taltamir3 depends. The new one works with Royal Blood. The old one works with dot 3 or 4. But don’t use Royal Blood in the older version, it’s going to brake the piston.
Very cool vid. I dig the the Jackpiner blue plastics...where did you get them? Or did you spray them?
Diego Fianza hey man thanks! The plastics are the Acerbis + Troy Lee Designs plastic kit for the XC bike. They don’t make them for this bike, the XCW, but you can mod them to work 👍🏽
Can I get one for a Yamaha yz ?
