I got one of these recently (radar ev path) . I got it from a Taiwan glass company. I sent them the frame and my prescription, and they do it in 3 weeks. Very cool. I have 22xs 25a on my left and 300s on my right eyes. It's just spot on. They do this for many different frames as well. Oakley ruby projects 100% etc. Need to check which frame they support before sending them though.
Would love to see the result you got from them! Sport optical will always be who I recommend in the states, but still always cool to see what others are doing 😎
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 well I like a single lens glasses that don't fall off during high intensity activities. Such as dodgeball or football I'm currently wearing Oakley Pitchmans R right now
Interesting glasses! I just got some Oakley Flak 2.0 XL from LensCrafters (Yeah I know..) but anyway I got them with progressive lenses. Went with Oakley lenses 1.67. My problem is that the vision seems off now since I swapped out the nose pads. They come with two pairs of nose pads. Can something as simple as a different size nose pad interfere with my progressive lens RX? Too bad you're not in Columbus, Ohio - I'd trust you to make perfect glasses for me!
Oops the lenses in the Flak are 1.59 - that's the only lens you can get for them. I also bought a pair of Oakley Trajectory glasses and those are the ones with 1.67.
Not a huge difference in the 1.59 and 1.67 optically speaking, but yes nose pads on a freeform lens can absolutely throw everything off by moving the frame in and down or out and up. :) especially in higher powers with Ray tracing it makes a noticeable difference as you get away from the indicated pupil location
And these are wicked cool! This company just started making them a touch over a year ago, and the owner is just as much an eyewear passionate soul as I 😁
Yeah you always have the coolest glasses! Myself I get two or three new glasses every other year and this year I went with three Oakley frames. Even with a good vision plan the glasses were over $400 each. Makes me second guess getting progressive lenses for my Flak sunglasses...do I really need progressives for sunglasses??? This is my first time using progressive lenses though and I thought it would be better if I had all three pairs with progressives instead of switching between single and prog. Too darn expensive though.....maybe I'll get Lasik next year..lol
Thanks! Owning the shop helps 🤣. But yes I very often recommend SV sunglasses unless really needed. Occasionally we'll even do them as bifocal (lined, round seg, digital backside, etc.) For just that little bump for arms length or near at a lower cost. 😁
Not at all. The PD is all the more important in something like this to calculate the required optical shifts to maintain clarity edge to edge and is but a small portion of what precision work like this takes to produce. 😎
Yes they are! Best I could tell it's a transitions lens with blue flash. But I didn't order this. This was their concept model for the custom rx lenses 😁
I 100% know how, but it's no less impressive. 🤣. I actually have one drill just did for me that's equally impressive... I'll dm you when it's in my hands... solid titaniun... no screws or removable hinge... SOLID TITANIUM.. no flex shit.
That’s pretty freakin awesome!!! Oakley is definitely one of my favorite brands I dig the fact they did not use an insert!!!!
Yeah, Vuarnet uses an insert too apparently, (much sads) this is next level impressive though!

Hi, can you share the company name please ?
Yes, please share the name of the company. Would like to try it.
It’s in the video description with a direct link to their site guys.
But while I’m here. sportsoptical.com/
What is the taiwanese company name?
These are incredible! Such a cool look, you'd never know they were prescription!
right!? They're really incredible. Huge props to the creator of these!
Where can I get mine
Those look great, definitely going on my Christmas list.
YEAAAH BABY finally. I could use these on my expedition to morroco in 2 years
They would be great for that! Alternatively glacier glasses also work 😎 all about which style you prefer 🎉

I gotta get me some of those
You won't regret it, they're incredible!
Glad your doing this. Cause Oakley prescription inserts are nasty
Well, sports optical, not me. But getting exposure of their work is almost as good, right? 🫠😎

So does this mean there’s no PD? Like the entire lense is it?
Not at all. The PD is all the more important in something like this to calculate the required optical shifts to maintain clarity edge to edge and is but a small portion of what precision work like this takes to produce. 😎
Do you know the total cost to have them make these for you?
Sorry I don't, and there are a lot of variables. They're easy to work with though, reach out and they can help you :)
Thanks for the props
🙌 always love to give e credit where it's earned 😁 you guys knocked this out of the park!
are those radar oakley prescription? whats the hue on those?? what did u say when u ordered them that way? cuz i want same thing.

@@ThatGlassesGuy03 ok so they can do full range edge to edge prescription?
@@donaldhermann2121 yes! Blows away the crap Vuarnet tried to sell us on! 🙄
Great Oakleys. What type of tint are those?
Pretty cool made up this way for sure. Inquire with sport optics on the description for more information as it’s one of their custom rx prototypes 😎
Yo...TGG... you know I love your stuff. And I'd be willing to bet $5 I know how the RX was added to that. But your new mic setup is...not great.

Also.. yeah my good mic was in the car and I didn't wanna go get it. My bad. 🤣
Where i can buy these?
