I’m thinking about the upper frame, perhaps is for protecting light to come through the ventilation notches. With high sun or in aerodynamic position sometimes light passes through holes on other glasses…
I ordered the Sphaera for running, cross country skiing, and biking. Now I am worried that it will be too large for me :( My everyday frame is Holbrook XS. On the other hand, I felt strongly that the Radar fit your face much better, and that the Sphaera looks distinctly small on your face -- in both cases, I mean specifically in terms of the widths of the frames. Well, mine should arrive in a couple of days and we'll see :) Why doesn't Oakley just make "small" versions of more of their frames!? I can't wear 90% of their frames, because they just look silly on my little face and head. I think a "Holbrook Small" would be better for me than the XS -- Unfortunately, it doesn't exist. * Quick followup question: I have Oakley sport frames as well as Frogskins XXS for my 3-year-old and need an attachment that holds them comfortably on her ears/head (not around her neck). Can you recommend such an accessory for an active toddler? Thanks as always for the demo and info!
@@jeremiegraveline4213 - Yes, they were huge on me. Looked like safety goggles (I had the clear frames with photochromic lenses). They were much too wide, and I generally found them unflattering as well as uncomfortable. I returned them immediately. Too bad! Wish they made them for a smaller face.
I have the old original Radar with the Path Lens that I did switch out for the Prizm Daily Polarized lens. I also have the newer Radar EV with the absolute amazing Prizm Sapphire Polarized lens. These lenses have the “Oakley” stamp across the tops of these lenses. Is there a reason that they did not put the stamp on the new Spharea ?? It brings a little old school Oakley to the newer stuff. Even the older and newer Flak’s have the stamp on the frames themselves. I was just curious if you knew the reasoning? Thx
HI! No particular reason for the change, although some people have reported that the stamp in the center can be distracting when looking at or past that area of the lens.
Hi! The Sphaera is currently only available in non-prescription, but the Radar EV Path can accommodate myopic (minus) prescriptions up to -3.00 total power. To find out if your Rx is within range for the Radar, give out opticians a call! 877.289.2999 info@sportrx.com

Correct! The extended brow brim offers up a bit more protection against light leak from the top.
How the sphaera would do on rowing i kinda want sphaera or some would be better for rowing?
Yall should allow for customers to input their RX first and then give them suggestions on your website
This helped me out so much. Great video man! Question what color frames are those on the radar ev path?
Hey Michael, the Radar EV Path frame is a Grey Ink color with PRIZM Black Polarized lenses 👉www.sportrx.com/oakley-radar-ev-path.html🔥
Aren’t the side holes on the Sphera so you can take on and off the glasses without bumping your hat or helmet?
Probably! Nice call!
