There are very few guitar solos that consistently make me tear up. Whatever amp Kanami was plugged into when writing this, it communicated directly with all the gods of the instrument currently jamming together in the afterlife.
Saiki has long since been the thawed Ice queen. The emotion & fragility in her voice on songs like "Daydreaming", "About Us" & "Wonderland" are there for all to see. But i'd dearly love to see Chase react to the acoustic double of "Puzzle" & "Anemone".🥲

THIS IS A WELL THOUGHT OUT WELL COMPOSED INCREDIBLY MOVING MASTERPIECE OF MUSICAL EMOTION ! P.S. FAVORITE NUMBER ONE SONG BY THEM. ENDLESS STORY WHICH HAS A SIMILAR VIBE I THINK WOULD ALSO BE IN MY TOP FIVE.
I’m so glad you did this one! The one other older song I’d love for you to do is “Alone,” because it’s the first song they released where all writing credit went to the members.

This song is not in my top 3 of Band-Maid songs. It's not even in top 10.
It has very special place of its own in my heart. Because it's a very special song. Genius songwriting.
And Kanami's solo hits me every time. E-v-e-r-y time! 😍🥰
Only Band-Maid can rock a ballad this hard.
Maybe my favourite Kanami solo. It just expresses the emotion of the song so brilliantly, you don't need to have the captions on or understand the lyrics, that solo tells you everything. Kanami pulled the same trick on Bestie as well.
One of their best. My list is ever changing but Daydreaming is always up there.
Can't believe you haven't heard this classic Chase! To me, it's a masterclass in songwriting. First time I heard it Kanami's beautiful solo coming out of the blue like that made me tear up. In polls of fans of their favourite Band-Maid tracks "Daydreaming" won consistently for some years running.
Will never tire of this song.

Endless Story ever since I seen it from their 10th anniversary concert in Yokohama has shot its way to the top of my favorites list. Also the track Freezer is another one of my favs from the Maids. Well, actually hard to pick a favorite from their catalog. I guess whichever song I am listening to at the time is my favorite....
I hope one day they collaborate with a symphony orchestra. If they do, this song would be a great finale.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one willing you to do this way back...knowing what a tonic of a song this is, for me any road, and thinking you coulda used it ❤ So uplifting to play loud in the car...Akane's cymbals are like bathing in unicorn tears. Kanami has said this was a most challenging but rewarding composition...some lovely live versions knockin around. Makes a Damn Good Day Mate 👌

Once in a great while, some of the best bands ever find that magical spot for just a song the song is simple to grasp and instantly catchy that anyone can follow, but when you dig in, you really notice the rich depth and texture as the song weaves new threads in and out of the composition and realize there's so much more depth than one could imagine for something so easy to sing or hum along to. Band-Maid LIVES in that magical spot. They're the only ones.

Well, #2-10 on my list of favorites by these ladies is taken up by the entire rest of their catalog, and to this day, for me, the undisputed #1 is this song. One of their best "slow" songs. MISA kills back there, and they slow-build to a great wall of sound on that final chorus.
Well, I have around 150 favorite Band-maid songs, but this has long been one of my favorite favorites. When they do this live there are no dry eyes in the house. Simply amazing.
Thanks Chase. You can never tire of listening to a Band-Maid song. There is so much going on underneath the main melody, you can hear somewthing new every time you listen. I recorded this live in Boston. If you are ever interested, check it out.

wow, a bit boggled this one slipped by so long..it's a top 5 favorite Band Maid song for me. Seems to juggle hope, longing and unrequited love... and then all the anguish and desire just explodes in Kanami's searing solo.... which is such a beautiful contrast to the song up to that point. And then after one more soaring chorus, it ends in that melancholic longing...... I think that may still be my favorite Mincho solo because of how emotive and raw it was.

Slight bone to pick with you Chase. Now that you have reacted to the studio version, you NEED to react to both the Zepp Tokyo version and the Yokohama version. Trust me, you really really really NEED to react to those two versions as well.

This is most emotional guitar solo I’ve ever heard and my favorite from Kanami
Ohhh, Arizona time is tricky because AZ doesn't do DST! So part of the year they're out of sync with the rest of their timezone. XD
Daydreaming is still pretty high on a lot of fans' favorite lists. I think of it as a sneaky showoff song for Akane... most people focus on Saiki or Kanami, but IMO Akane is the one driving a lot of this song and her choices are so unexpected. I always look forward to the explosive solo, of course, but after that, those few off-beat cymbal hits popping off like fireworks over the last chorus!
The genius in Kanami comes to the fore front here. Beautiful song .... great reaction - been waitin for this one.
My favorite Band Maid song. An absolute masterpiece where every single instrument is finding the right voice, tone, limitation and fit. Nothing ever the same. And my favorite Kanami lead.

Honestly, the "build up in the bridge only to bring it waaaaay down and then just ERUPT" is such a trademark move of theirs that it should get boring, but they make it both interesting and transcendent every time.

If you think this is sweet, check out Anemone. I bet most people suggest the live acoustic duet performance of Saiki and Kanami, while admittedly beautiful, you can't miss original electric version. 😢😢😢

Guess who's having a damn good day after discovering a new Band-Maid reaction from Chase Carneson
This song is so great. The way it hits during the building up to and into the sole just.... right in the feels. Every. Single. Time. Kanami's guitar reverb/echo whatever it is (I'm not a musician) is super reminiscent of the way The Edge of U2 like to do some of his song. Even though Bono can suck it from the back, the guitar work is pretty great. If, when Saiki sings, "Feel my soul" and you don't feel it in your own soul... at that point you should stop listening. This isn't the song/band for you.
