I did this install and looking back wished id just drilled a small enough hole for the supplied screws to grab. If for some reason that method didn't work you could always go to this just making a bigger hole for the plastic clips to fit. What i found with using the smallest hole for the plastic clip to fit the clip still twisted. I may have over torqued the screw but did do everything by hand. Maybe if you drilled a smaller hole the cut the rest of the way into a square hole the clip might not twist. Just my experience and with going through the roof pretty important.
Just bought an 06 cateye and had the headliner out bc the cab lights stay on when the wires hooked together not sure how they have it bit I want to run it to that same switch you have what color wires did you splice into? Thanks!

My 3 piece cab lights the middle light only has a double white wire . Where would those white wires go connected to . The small side ones do have a red and black
Power and ground matter? You might should have bought a harness for them. Thats what i did just to make it so much easier. Recon Can Lights + Harness = 300$
I'm not mad at you for not making it a big deal trying to match the factory cab light locations but Ryan those outside lights needed to be taken out further🤦♂️

And I’m not talking about the solar powered ones that come with a fob to operate them, because sometimes those lights tend to get out of sequence, where some are on while others are not.

What size drill bit did you use for the nylon inserts?
For the 10.1 nylon I used 7/32 drill bit. And taped it in.
