Hello, I have a question. Why do you have to go to Topology once after carving your body? If it is not a game project, is it necessary to go to topology?
I just finished your available gumroad course videos as a complete beginner to 3D sculpting and already feel like a pro. I'm so, so happy with the result I got and cannot thank you enough for the great course material (I was blown away when I finished the texturing for the eyes!!!!!). I nailed almost everything but the ears and lips, so I've got some work to do while I figure out my own style and wait for your body tutorials. I am super looking forward to it! Thanks, Danny!
I've been following your head sculpt course and I love it so far! Definitely going to subscribe to your patreon, I am very excited to learn more from you. It has helped me so much as an 3D animation student :)
Great work Danny. As cool as 3D Printing is, I think approaching animation would be much better for your channel, so I couldn't agree more with the changes to your page. I'm bias being an animator, but I would love to see your works come to life! You're an inspiration to many artists, keep up the amazing work man!
It is an amazing sculpt, but it doesn't feel like Princess Peach. It looks more like a girl cosplaying as Princess Peach. I realize that is mostly because she is reimagined in your style (which is beautiful btw).
Wow, I learned so much from this and I haven't even finished. I especially love the way you used the diamonds on the hands to reduce the polys, I've been trying to think of quick ways to do that for a while, so simple but still so efficient. The way you made the ruffles on the skirt is genius too. So many quick small tips in such a short amount of time. Amazing work. What is the remesh tool that you use to combine the meshes while sculpting?
20:01 are those curves in the upper left corner the hair profile curves? I'm using Maya and Maya's Sweep Mesh to create similar hair so I was wondering what the actual hair profile looks like
I’m sure you’ll cover this in court course, but out of curiosity why do you retopologize your rig in separate stages? I’m sure there are benefits but I was taught to do it all at once.
It depends what the purpose of the retopology is. I retopologised at this stage because I wanted better control over the mesh while sculpting. A clean mesh makes room for clean sculpting. I was working on the head so I retopologised that. Later I wanted to work on the body so I retopologised that too before joining it the the head. To be honest, the retopology here was a very rushed job and if it were for production I'd do things a bit differently, but it was fit for purpose :)
@@DannyMac3d that’s really cool. I rewatched the video after reading your comment, and I can definitely see how you could have more control with the model that way!
You've probably addressed this in your other printing videos, but thoughts on FDM/Filament printers? They're not as great at printing "small" as resin, but they're way less toxic, and readily affordable and easy to use (nowadays, anyway). Recently got my hands on a Bambu P1S that I literally stack on top of my dishwasher (my apartment is tiny) and I've had so much fun with printing my iPad sculpts, I can't see myself stopping! Either way, good luck, and keep being awesome, good sir!
Yea, Creality sent me one to play around with and it was nice to not have to wear a mask the entire time and worry about making a mess for sure. However, I still just don't get the same spark I do when working digitally. Not sure why, maybe it's the ctrl+z button 😅
You know, I think 3D printing characters would be nice for a giveaway, like when you reach 300k or 500k subs you give one of your characters to a random viewer. Or maybe as a prize for an art contest, tho I believe you never made those before. Or maybe after being a Patreon member for an Year you get a free 3D model. But that's just some brainstorming
What was the total time spent on doing this? Also, say you are just starting out, how much longer would it take you to do this than the amount of time it took you to do this now? And how long have you been doing this?
She's amazing! How long have you been doing this, are you self taught or do you have a degree? Currently I'm studying digital film design and although I chose animation as my main focus, it's another dream of mine to draw and sculpt pretty stylized girls like you do. Are there any tutorials you can recommend, maybe even some of your own?
Hello, I’d been watching your videos and I like your works and I am interested in them too ! Could these sculpted characters made by zBrush or Blender can also animating through rigging progress? I would like to make them myself and animate them through Maya
This looks great. I'm particularly interested in the hair, but the part you use to creat the hair just seems to appear. How do you make the base part that you are adjusting to make the hair?
Hello, i really enjoy your tutorials and i plan to take the "The Mannequin" from Gumroad. However i plan to make male characters while you are making a female base there, do you plan to make the same Mannequin, but male? I do realize it will be similar and probably one can done male figure following the female one , just with slightly different proportions, but still would love to see how you are doing it. Thank you.
Well its a difficult one because they're quite different apps. Blender could never beat Zbrush in a sculpting contest because Zbrush is built from the ground up to be good at sculpting. However, Blender is good at many many things that Zbrush isn't trying to be good at. It's all these other things that make Blender the winner for me. I really wish it could handle just a touch more polygons though. Maybe I need better gear so subscribe on Patreon haha
@DannyMac3d Thanks for the reply. Yea I am on the fence about learning to sculpt in blender. I wish I hadn't bought a permanent licence for zbrush plus development is dead. I have been animating with Blender for about a year now and love it. It would make total sense to do it all in Blender and not to have to hassle with import export.
Pretty much all Blender :) There are very rare occassions where I need to use a function in Zbrush but most pieces are done entirely in Blender (except post which I use Photoshop for)
Really? I turned it away from my mouth to reduce pops, but then I turned it too far and there was too much hiss so I used Nvidia denoiser on it. I thought it did a pretty decent job but clearly not!
Stop drawing beautiful women, I cant keep falling in love like this. But no this is really good. She looks so cute, she'd also look really good in alternative outfits (like the cringe but fun goth edits of disney characters. It's totally out of place but they look good
I absolutely forgot to mention that the project files from these timelapses will also be a Patreon reward! :) www.patreon.com/dannymac3d
PLEASE make these models available for others to 3D print. I would love to be able to print this Peach and paint her

This looks like an alternate universe Peach where she's a pop idol and she uses the Princess title as her stage name. Stunning work!
Yea I wanted to add a bit of my own twist 🙃 Thanks for the feedback! 🙏
Goldilocks and the Three Bears meets Princess Peach. And the final result was incredible
And Bowser kidnaps her because he legit thinks she IS a princess.

Your channel helped me out of artblock. Thank you so much, your work is amazing!
Bowser can be proud of his spouse! Great job btw
I'm going to wait for the full course.
this dude has a whole room just for his hobby!

wow great vod there is so much here i will have to go over this a couple of times fantastic stuff

Just Blenders native remesher (Ctrl + R while in sculpt mode)
Thanks, I'm still new to sculpting, I've mostly done modeling. Going to try to put into practice what I learned from this
