@@Cooper_118 I've gotten a few requests for that. I may try to do it. I'm not sure that we are given many timeline hints in the lego entries, but there might be enough to do something fun with it!
Of the clips that I have seen uploaded on RUclips, specifically the "Fight Matt Damon" clip, I've seen one comment say that OUaDP was essentially still an R-Rated movie masquerading as a PG-13 movie.
No good deed technically came out with LOGAN because I remember seeing LOGAN in theaters and they played it before the film. Very odd thing at the time but I kinda wish more superhero movies just had weird shorts ahead of them.
Love me some Deadpool. Hoping they do a PG-13 cut of DP&W, purely to see how they weave around the scenes with Johnny and some of Cassandra Nova's lines 😭😭😭
I don’t think they will, but honestly outside of extensive bloody violence, they could definitely cut some dialogue down without the f bombs and still tell the coherent story.
@@BlackVeilSaviorThere's a PG-13 cut actually. The version of the film released in China. And a fun fact: Once Upon A Deadpool was the only DP film released in that country before D&W
Love that you included those projects in your timelines. Also in one of Once Upon a Deadpool promos there's an extended sequence of the Nickelback scene where Wade immediately list all of their records to make Fred be quiet they later make up by singing "This is how you remind me." also if that Deadpool and Korg react video is canon, funny enough Wade recalls the fridging information to Korg, saying that he hopes that the love interest of Free Guy isn't killed and after telling Korg what it is he says that, "also known as Deadpool 2"😂
I love that extended scene in the Once Upon a Deadpool trailer. When they break out in song I cracked up! As for Deadpool and Korg, I'm less certain if that's canon, as it would mean Korg knows who Deadpool is. I suspect Wade's only visit to 616 is what we saw in DP&W. But I do love that Deadpool and Korg video. If you can think of a way to make it canon, I'm all for it!
@@AbitofEverything4Uit could be a branched timeline of korg after Deadpool 2. That way if 616 main korg doesn’t know Deadpool you can say it was a variant
@@charleshustedt5944 Good point! I'd be down for that. ofc, it wouldn't explain how Korg knew what the MCU was. But maybe he was just playing along with Deadpool but actually had no clue what he was talking about. lol!
I don’t see why Once Upon A Deadpool has to be in the real world. If Kevin Bacon can act in Footloose in the MCU, then Fred Savage should be able to act in The Princess Bride in 10005.
Good point! I guess there could be a Fred Savage in 10005. if so, I’m sure he has changed his address and made it unlisted after his experience with Deadpool! lol!
So, regarding Once Upon A Deadpool, I have always had a similar thought to the idea that you proposed here: After the events of Deadpool 2, Wade kidnapped Fred Savage and forced him to listen to his retelling of that story
@@AbitofEverything4U Yes they said in the same interview that they'd be putting out a gag reel and deleted scenes plus alternate takes so at least we're getting something
I had gone to see once upon a Deadpool when it came out because I was too young to see R rated movies when it came out. It’ll always hold a special place in my heart as I was a MASSIVE fan of Deadpool 2 at the time and it was so special to get to see it in theaters, on my own.
That's an awesome story. Yeah, that's exactly why I hope Marvel comes out with a PG-13 version of DP&W, even if it's only available on D+. I want audiences of all ages to be able to watch it.
Awesome video I really loved these two forgotten parts of deadpool content and I’m very glad that you made a timeline for this. But I think after this we’re all left questioning one thing: is the princess bride now canon to the mcu? lol jokes aside really cool to see some forgotten content fit into a timeline I love these kinds of videos
I really enjoyed Once Upon A Deadpool (and IIRC, its release was specifically to raise money for charity). I would've loved to have seen PG-13 cuts of Deadpool and Deadpool & Wolverine. Showed you don't need Rated R to do a good story with a more violent character.
I forgot about Once Upon A Deadpool raising money for charity. That's so cool! And yeah, I think we need a PG-13 version of DP&W because it's so important to the overall MCU timeline and it should be released in a format that a younger audience can enjoy.
@@AbitofEverything4U And honestly, aside from maybe Nicepool’s head blowing up and Johnny getting skinned, it should be pretty easy to edit this movie into PG-13. You just remove the CGI blood entirely and use takes of the lines without swears.
I like to believe Once Upon a Deadpool takes place in April. Sort of a callback to the first movie. DP: "Merry Christmas!" Dopinder: "A convivial Tuesday in April to you, Pool."
@AbitofEverything4U I mean, technically the reference I'm using is that Wade just keeps using advent calendars, for whatever reason, to count his escape from Ajax till his "dick kicking" revenge, as his concept of how long he was tortured would be jarring. He knew when El Cancer dropped I'm early July, and when he entered bootleg Mutant-X. Deadpool 2 Vanessa certainly wouldn't have shattered his perceived timeline.
The old man and the sea thing is actually a spoiler for Logan. This short was played before Logan screening so the Old man and the sea was shown as it shared themes with the Logan movie. Some also says it's a parallel to Deadpool 2 plot.
I don't understand how Deadpool visiting the MCU-616 on March 18, 2018 would have any relevancy on when or where the Fred Savage kidnapping would occur. We've already established that the current present time in each universe has no bearing on the other in No Way Home. Meanwhile Deadpool is in possession of a TIME MACHINE. It doesn't matter "When" it happens, only when in relation to Deadpool chronology. Heck, he could have visited Fred during any Christmas before 2024, as Deadpool could have traveled to MCU-616 at any point so long as he had Cable's time watch to timeslide where he wanted to go. I was under the impression that Deadpool only did that fairly recently in response to Vanessa's ultimatum and relationship goals. And the fact that Deadpool chose Mar 18, 2018 likely means he wanted to join the Avengers in Infinity War/End Game, since he was aware of the Josh Brolin/Thanos connection in Deadpool 2. He wanted to speak to Stark in that moment, and the script leaks suggest that's where a Robert Downey Jr cameo would have happened, maybe in a way that called back to the X-Men cameo in DP2.
Great questions. So check out my other Deadpool timeline video in case you haven't seen it, as it goes into detail on your questions. It's located here: ruclips.net/video/Tsr2Td7hgII/видео.html. But there are a few key things that require Deadpool to visit Fred around March, 2018: 1. In DP&W, after he visits 616 in Mar, 2018, it then jumps 6 years later to 2024. So that means he visited 616 in 2018 in Deadpool's timeline as well as it being 2018 in the 616 timeline. 2. In DP&W, he tells Paradox he destroyed the time device soon after jumping around in time at the end of DP 2. So that means his trip to visit Fred has to be around the same time that he saved everyone and visited 616. Hope the helps explain my thoughts on it. If you think I made an error, just let me know. I'm always open to feedback.
Dude, it’s not that serious. No one at Marvel is thinking about it that deeply. You’re wasting your time trying to make sense of something inherently contradictory.
@@AbitofEverything4U You’re making a RUclips channel, I get it. This guy just doesn’t appear to have a realistic perspective on this stuff. Sure it can be fun to think or argue about it but you have to keep in mind the creator’s lack of interest in this level of specificity when doing so.
@@DukeBluedevil70 Yeah, but it's just alot of fun to try to brainstorm solutions. Before I was doing a YT channel, I was doing the same thing on my own. I was trying to find ways to explain stuff that otherwise seemed to have no viable solution. And then one day I finally decided to start making videos about it. So I applaud the effort of fellow MCU fans trying to make all this stuff make sense. It's the start of an eventual new RUclipsr!
For Once Upon a Deadpool, I’m thinking that it’s canon, and then after all his time travel shenanigans, he goes pick up Fred Savage and does Once Upon a Deadpool. Now the thing is, when does it happen? My thought is maybe he does Once Upon a Deadpool after the Avengers scene in Deadpool 3. He gets rejected in joining the avengers, and before retiring as Deadpool, he decides to make a retelling of Deadpool 2 for everyone to hear so he has a legacy, and frames it like Princess Bride. Hence how we get Once Upon a Deadpool.
18:13 One question that remains regarding the timelines of the X-Men films is in which months these films take place, in this case these more isolated ones, thanks for this page answer my question
Glad that helped. Yeah, I try my best to get the timeline down to the month and year, where possible. Thanks for watching and sharing your feedback. Really appreciate it!
Great video. I haven’t seen either of these but want to check them out. Also, you touched on it at the end when talking about how they can jump anywhere at any time. Maybe when Deadpool jumped to the real world it was Christmas. Speaking of canon I’d love to hear your thoughts on Brad Winderbaum’s recent comments on agents of shield.
Great feedback! Yeah, it's certainly possible that Deadpool jumped into the real world in December. That said, it kinda cracks me up to think that he was actually in March but wanted it to seem like Christmas so he put up faux decorations. lol! As for Agents of SHIELD, I think Marvel will continue to be vague on the canonicity of it. I do wish they would take a stand on it, but I fear we may never get a clear answer, tbh. So as fans, we can treat them as either canon to the main MCU or as a branch off the MCU, since I suspect the MCU won't refer to any of the events of the series, unfortunately. Kinda a bummer, but it seems to be the way Marvel wants to handle those pre-Disney+ shows. But hey, they changed course on the Netflix shows, so I say never give up hope!
Great question! So I couldn’t find it streaming online anywhere. One option is to buy the physical copy, but instead, I checked it out from the library, since it was free. Hard to beat free!
No Good Dead could be after And Wolverine. The Logan movie could be be using footage taken from the TVA. Deadpool has a more heroic persona in the short. Which he doesn't get until And Wolverine.
Cool theory...that could indeed work. Although I do love the idea of the Logan movie being shown in a theater and that's how he knows about what happened in it during Deadpool 2's opening. Massive 4th wall break for the movie to be shown like that, ofc...but then again Deadpool 2 mentioning Logan's death was also a massive 4th wall break, so putting the two 4th wall breaks together as a package is kinda fun! Anyway, great feedback. Thanks so much for watching the vid and sharing your feedback. Really appreciate it!
I have a couple of questions about the general timeline of the MCU. My first question is: wouldn't the Agent Carter One Shot be placed after the series? I mean, I've seen the series and I've seen the short, and I know that there are things in the short that contradict the series, and even that the introduction of the series uses scenes from the short. But considering that the short ends with Peggy receiving the invitation to join SHIELD, it doesn't make much sense to me that they didn't mention it in all of her scenes with Howard Stark. My second question is about The Amazing Spider-Man video game. I think maybe it should come after, since its plot is basically a sequel to the movie. These are just doubts that I have and that I wanted to share with you. I love your work, you are amazing.
Great questions! On Agent Carter's One Shot, if you haven't seen this short video, it answers your questions: ruclips.net/video/TcgPnjpwgDE/видео.html. Let me know what you think. On the Amazing Spider-Man game...oops. That should have been updated to be right after the movie. Great catch. I got that fixed in the spreadsheet now.
@@AbitofEverything4U I saw your video! And I quite agree with everything you say. I think this is a case like X-Men could be set in the 90s or early 2000s. Whether you choose to prioritize objective dates, or whether you choose to prioritize what makes the most narrative sense for you as a viewer, it is a choice respectable.
Yeah, I definitely like the one shot before the series cause I just think it fits better, but I agree that until Marvel gives us an official timeline, then really any timeline someone comes up with that has a good explanation for it is perfectly fine.
I agree...there are so many awesome interactions ahead when Deadpool officially joins the MCU. Seeing him and She-Hulk both break the 4th wall will be craziness!
15:17 Do we have confirmation this is the real world? Because don't we know from Deadpool 1 that Ryan Reynolds does exist in this universe, so is anything stopping this from just being the Ryan from Deadpool's world?
It is easier to parse the first version especially when concentrating on the individual timeline. It would be cool to make the timeline like the TVA version. The logan timeline being the main and the others being branches. Would also tie in with endgame’s explanation of time travel.
That's an interesting suggestion to make it like the TVA version with branches. I'll think about that. It sure is a messy timeline no matter how you stack it!
I think those lines feeding from 2023 to DoFP, and 2054 to DP2 should connect to those from First Class and New Mutants to show they're causing the divergence. Maybe those First Class/New Mutants lines should be dotted and placed after the films, not coming off of them, because it's really just showing that everything to the left of it is in the new timeline's history as well
That sounds like a very cool idea...I'm trying to wrap my head around exactly how it would look. If you want to email me a rough mock up of it, that would be awesome. The email is abitofeverythingforu@gmail.com. Or I'm on discord as well. But I'll also try to play around with it and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the ideas!
12:01 I love this brain teaser, because it makes sense! But the thing everyone forgets, is that the brain controls the body so only the top half would regenerate. It’s always fun to discuss and imagine just INFINITE Deadpool’s, maybe there’s a universe where that’s the case (please marvel make it happen), but that’s the reason that I’ve always imagined
I kinda wish I had seen this sooner. It was only a couple of weeks ago, that this was in stock at Amazon. Now, it's gone everywhere. It's also about four times the price on Ebay. I couldn't even find one with a case, for a decent price. I just want to see it again, because it has completely been removed from streaming for many years & will likely never return in purchasable condition. I think this is my favorite version of D2. It really streamlines the story - especially the prison parts, which seem to be a tad too long to me. You can't really follow it so easily, if you haven't seen D2, but I think it provides the best re-watch experience, in my opinion - in spite of missing some of the language.
I agree...I think it's a very fun version of Deadpool 2 and it's such a bummer that it's so hard to find and that it isn't on streaming. I actually did manage to check it out from the local library though, which was nice since it was free.
@@AbitofEverything4U If I had known that it was going to stop being available, I would have bought it two weeks ago, but I figured that I'd wait a couple of weeks & use my Salad balance for an Amazon gift card. It was still a reasonable price, then.
@@AbitofEverything4U I wouldn't be surprised. The strange thing is, that this version was pretty much ignored for the longest time. Not everyone could even agree if it was good or not. In fact, you're one of the very few channels that has acknowledged and covered it. I guess, when it officially became Disney, that's when it disappeared entirely from every streaming service. It remained on Amazon for around $26 bucks for the longest time & could be found in Blu-ray form from several sources. If I can find it, I will make ISO backups, in case it gets scratched.
It is worth noting that Deadpool is fully aware that he is a character in a movie and that character is based upon a comicbook character. So it makes sense for him to know that Logan died. Despite being in his own universe and timeline, he's aware of our timeline and our universe. meaning despite the MCU and Fox universes taking place in different years than our own, he's aware of them because he's aware of our universe.
Great points! Yeah, even if No Good Deed didn't exist, it would still have been possible for Deadpool to have known about Logan dying and thus to have made that joke in Deadpool 2. But I do love that No Good Deed seeks to explain how he knew about Logan dying, even though it's an even crazier 4th wall break to think the Logan movie was playing in his world. Deadpool is such a fun character!
@@AbitofEverything4U I'd like to imagine it was a one man stage play, starring Deadpool and written/produced/directed by Wade Wilson because he had somehow seen it in his own head by being aware of our universe.
If there wasnt any leaks for Deadpool and Wolverine, they couldve done another type no good deed, to reference what was coming in the movie, like a tiny easter egg of Wolverines suit
7:13 I know Fred Savage’s brother, Ben Savage, a lot better. Boy Meets World is one of my favorite shows of all time, and in one of the last seasons when they’re in college, Fred Savage plays a teacher at Penbrook who hits on Topanga, despite her discomfort, and Cory finds out and punches him, and there’s a whole trial where Cory is the defendant and the college is the judge
That’s an interesting question. I guess technically speaking the fridging occurred in the comics, and not in the Green Lantern movie that Ryan Reynolds was in… So therefore the reference is still valid for that reason. But I like where you’re going with your thought process!
@@AbitofEverything4U I see where you're coming from, in a universe where Ryan embodies the Latern the way he IS Deadpool, Ryan had to die for Deadpool to live… shots literally fired at DC
@@AbitofEverything4U your point on the fridge would have been a great plot point for #SinisterCavill to manipulate Wade’s actions, motivations, and educated 🙏 wish.
I wonder if anyone's made an ultimate r-rated cut of Once Upon a Deadpool yet? Adding the r-rated and extended scenes in with the story book sections of OUADP
This isn’t very related to the video and I imagine this has already been answered but what’s the deal with how many juggernauts there are in the fox universe, shouldn’t there only be one? So far we’ve got the “don’t you know who I am” one, the deadpool 2 one and then the deadpool 3 one who I think is meant to be the first one but it’s a different actor I think. So like what’s going on?
Yeah, that was abit odd...same with the multiple Colossus renditions. Seemed that Ryan Reynolds wanted to do his own take on the characters. But I'm assuming they are still the same character across the different movies, just different actors similar to Rhodey being changed after Iron Man 1 and Bruce being changed after Incredible Hulk.
No good deed was a total teaser for Deadpool too but it feels like it’s own thing so I’d say maybe it is cannon just random day in the life of dp between movies
It did indeed. That was so awesome. And then if debuted on RUclips the very next day after Logan released in theaters. Reynolds is truly a marketing genius!
Great question! So, in the googlesheet on my drive, I do indeed break down the months for every movie that gives us enough info. If you haven't checked it out, you can find it here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FkOvKi9dfLUOKchUjZCr4FZlBQKi-vkDzkmpiTFrK7Q. If you filter by X-Verse you can see the release and timeline months. Let me know if you think any are incorrect. Thanks so much!
Vindication! Deadpool 2 is totally better than the first one! The chemistry between all the characters new and old are stronger, the story is also stronger, the much less frequent flashbacks don't mess with the pacing (the pacing is still pretty good in the first one, it's done well and there is a purpose to it, but we spend close to an hour on the highway with how many times we flash back), the action's also awesome because we got one of the guys from John Wick directing, it's just an all around more enjoyable movie to me. And yeah, the scenes with Vanessa are so good with that acoustic version of Take on Me. While I wish that Vanessa was in more scenes of the Deadpool movies because Morena Baccarin is amazing (loved her in Gotham and was so happy to see her in Deadpool), it has made sense for her to not be so present in the movies depending on the story, but the use of her in the afterlife in Deadpool 2 was a great compromise for the character to still have a presence and even purpose within the movie. Deadpool & Wolverine just shunted her and everyone else off to the side, and that's really disappointing, similarly to how Luis isn't even in Quantumania. She still has a purpose within each of the movies, but I just wish that she could be more involved and hopefully Deadpool 3 can make good use of her should that movie happen.
To go along with the theory of each universe having a different present day, was Deadpool able to travel into the mcu in 2018 because the loom was breaking down in Loki?
Great question. So interestingly enough, due to Deadpool entering the MCU prior to Loki season 1, that means the loom was fully in place and goes to show that Deadpool does as Deadpool desires. It should have been impossible for him to breach the loom, but considering She-Hulk exited the Disney+ home page to confront K.E.V.I.N., it means the 4th wall breaking ability of those two has seemingly no bounds.
Now that's a good question! That one seems the least likely to be canon, but if you have a suggestion for how it might fit in, let me know. I think we have to look at some of the things Deadpool did as non-canon, since I suspect that it isn't canon that Korg knows who Deadpool is. But, I'm more than open to that being canon if you think it should be.
@AbitofEverything4U there's a couple possibilities, first is as we see in Deadpool 2, he got this time traveling machine, and from D&W we know he visited the MCU because of interview with Happy, but i don't it would be same visit since we know that scene with Happy dosen't take place in 2021 and i think because Free Guy (the movie characters watch) was released around this time it have to take place somewhere in this timeframe, second possiblity is that it is alternative universe and third is that it will take place in the future after Secret Wars, Free Guy film could be released later, because Thanos Snap could actually delay some movies that irl was released few years earlier, we have to wait and see, if either Deadpool or Korg die in Secret Wars that theory will be easily debunk
Niiiice! ofc, I'm not sure that Korg would know what the MCU was. But maybe he was just playing along with Deadpool but actually had no clue what he was talking about. lol!
So far, i think you're on the right track. I just think you are thinking a little too linearly. This is a time travel device. He can go to any time period in any timeline he wants.
I would say he played with it for some years before destroying it. I would say he actually went to the holiday months either back in 2018 or 2019 in film (as we don't have a date in film). And went back to 2018 to talk to Hogan.
Excellent feedback! Yeah, it’s really hard to tell when he destroyed the device. I agree, if he kept the device for a while, then he could’ve done all kinds of shenanigans. I was just assuming he destroyed it not long after the end of Deadpool 2. Anyway, your feedback was awesome and you may be spot on with your theories. Really appreciate you watching the video and sharing your thoughts!
Regarding the easter eggs in No Good Deed, I'm surprised you didn't mention the posters of Firefly, which featured Morena Baccarin (Vanessa) among its cast.
I’ve always considered No Good Deed and OUAD canon, but OUAD is in this meta Deadpool timeline where he’s almost IN the fourth wall? I don’t know how to explain it. Same with the promo material and Ashes Music Video, it’s all canon in Deadpool’s mind. Im looking forward to see what you make of these two!
Yeah, you really nailed it. With a 4th wall breaker, it's very hard to decide how to handle things like No Good Deed and OUAD. No Good Deed seems like straight up canon and I decided to make OUAD part of his magical mystery tour with Cable's device. One of the biggest reasons is that it sorta seems he gave up being Deadpool not long after he was turned down by the Avengers, based on what we learn in DP&W. So it just seems to fit with his mentality during the period of time while he was trying to impress Vanessa and win her back and thus before he destroyed Cable's device.
I couldn't find it online anywhere. So I checked it out from the library, as I didn't want to have to purchase the physical copy. Although it's a funny enough movie that I may get the physical copy at some point.
Correct...that's the long and the short of it. ofc, it adds lots of funny new jokes and it's also a PG-13 version, but you pretty much summed it up very well!
It just came to mind, technically that history with Essex corporation technically could be revisited considering we got more of the universe and might in the future too I do not believe this will happen, actually the contrary, but it would be so funny if it did
I agree...that would be a very cool idea if they decided to do that. Essex Corp was heavily teased in several movies, so it would be nice to see the teases get paid off!
Never heard of the first and never seen the second but this is an interesting discussion. Wait, it's the Superman parody? I didn't realize that even had a name. I didn't even realize it was also in the DP&W credits ... that's cool.
Yeah, I was very surprised by the fun connections. I'd never seen either of them prior to making the vid, but I loved the Logan joke in No Good Deed and then having the Stan Lee appearance show up in the DP&W credits was so cool!
In my head canon, Deadpool Maximum Reacts is Canon and Korg is the first person Deadpool encountered when he travelled to 616 in March 2018 and then Korg got him his contact for the Avengers because of course Korg would think Deadpool was good enough for the Avengers 🤣
Very cool theory! Yeah, I'd love to have that be canon as it's so dang funny. One issue is Korg was off planet in the ship with Thor in 2018, so that makes it tricky. Plus, Korg wouldn't know what the MCU was...but ofc Korg might have just been humoring Deadpool. lol! But yeah, I'm all for saying that conversation with Korg is canon. Excellent suggestions!
Great question! Yeah, I'd love to have that be canon as it's so dang funny. The big question would be when it happens. Korg wasn't on earth until after Infinity War, so ig it could happen after that point. Plus, Korg wouldn't know what the MCU was...but ofc Korg might have just been humoring Deadpool and going along with what he was saying even if he didn't understand it. lol! The biggest concern might be that I suspect Marvel won't want anyone in the MCU to know about Deadpool, other than that brief interview with Happy, which Happy probably forgot about immediately afterwards. But yeah, I'm all for saying that conversation with Korg is canon, I just don't know at this point if we can make it work. Let me know what you think...and also thanks for watching the vid and sharing your thoughts. Really appreciate it!
1:11 I like this a lot and makes the x-men timeline less confusing. Which is a godsend 3:00 Better yet: he watched recaps because he doesn’t have time to watch movies 4:15 what more could you want in life? 4:48 What’s great about this moment is it’s included in the end credits montage. Such a great sendoff. 7:05 man I wish we could get a P-13 cut of Deadpool and Wolverine and it’s Deadpool recapping the movie to Vanessa. Sadly shawn levy has said Deadpool and Wolverine is the Final Cut plus OUADP didn’t do that well and wasn’t well received. Shame 8:45 LAMO 9:15 Best part is Deadpool reaction to Free Guy trailer he also mentions fringing and Deadpool2 11:16 what’s so cool about Brad Pitt’s cameo here is all he asked was a cup of coffee from Ryan Reynolds and he be in the movie. 12:00 That’s genuinely heartwarming 12:22 in the comics there’s an “evil Deadpool” that’s wade torn body parts sown together so Fred isn’t far off
I think the only person who knows that No Good Deed (2017) and Once Upon A Deadpool (2018) are canon in the timeline itself is Ryan Reynolds himself, and my favourite performance of his is Deadpool from The 20th Century Fox films and MCU film.
Yeah, at this point, I would probably consider Ryan Reynolds to be the authority on it. I don’t ever see Marvel releasing an official timeline for the X-Men universe. And I honestly suspect that Ryan would consider them to be canon, but I don’t know if he’s ever been asked. Either way, he’s definitely done an incredible job in his role as Deadpool!
Okay, with your Google timeline, I feel you should keep Deadpool and Wolverine in the X-Verse. Hear me out! (SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO HASNT SEEN IT) Deadpool and Wolverine is all about saving Earth-10005. It shows the branching timelines, characters from the original movies, etc, and basically has the message of “honour and respect the past”, not just for the Logan variant, but bringing people to love the fox movies with all the negativity surrounding them. Basically the universe designation should be from the main character’s home universe and not the overall crossover/production label itself. And in a way you’re undoing the message the movie has, no offense! I hope that makes sense ☺️ Loved the video man! Keep up the great work!
Yeah, I'm totally with you on that logic. I've been so torn with how to classify the movie. In the end, I think we'll get our answer based on where D+ places it. If it's placed in the MCU timeline, then that means they are calling it an MCU movie, even if only once scene directly interacts with the MCU. But if it's only placed in the X-Men category with the other X-Verse movies, then we'll know it's not considered MCU, per se. I think Fantastic Four will fall in the same boat, since it is seeming to be set in a totally different universe and I suspect we'll only have a post-credit scene in the MCU at most. So we'll definitely get a better read on things when those two movies hit D+. Anyway, thanks so much for watching the vid and sharing your excellent feedback. Really appreciate it!
@@AbitofEverything4U I personally hope they don’t put it in the timeline like they did for X-Men 97. Keep it as part of the Multiverse Saga and maybe relabel the “Mutant Legacy” as like…. Either the Earth number or just Mutant Timeline, and try to sort it out properly. Either looking towards you or Dakota (Geekritique) for a guide. I love that Disney’s putting the timelines out there, but they’re still shuffling a lot around, you know? Give some of that weight to the fans 🤷🏻♂️
2:48 We know comic books exist in this universe. Why not comic book movies? Obviously, it wouldn't be the same movie, but maybe it is an actual Wolverine in a universe movie.
That’s a good question… I mean, technically you wouldn’t have to watch once upon a Deadpool because it’s just Deadpool retelling the story of the original movie. So you certainly wouldn’t need to watch it. But it is kind of fun to see how it’s different and of course there’s a lot of new scenes of him talking to Fred.
Unless Deadpool is in 2018-2019 where the actual buyout were, or Maybe as of the most recent divorce mentioned in film, placing him in line with Hawkeye Season 1
Yeah, it's a tough call to decide what to do with the Deadpool movies, but in the end, I just went with when they were released (i.e. 2016, 2018 and 2024) as it perfectly aligns Deadpool's visit to 616 so that 10005 and 616 are both in March, 2018 in their respective timelines.
@@Patrick19833 Yeah, Once Upon A Deadpool should totally be on D+ and I could imagine them adding No Good Deed under the Deadpool 2 movie as a special...basically like they do with deleted scenes.
There is a Director cut of Deadpool 2 I think it’s called something like the Super Duper cut. And then portions of that cut were added to the once upon a Deadpool version.
Thanks for the feedback. But I apologize, as I'm not sure I understand. Where do I have Deadpool 2 listed 3 times? Let me know and I'll be sure to fix it right away.
@@AbitofEverything4U it’s not your fault honestly I’m just very brain dead when it comes to how the fuck those revisions work? Idk maybe it’s the arrows that confuse me but I just see Deadpool 2 on it 3 times cause of the universe being changed
Oh! You mean on the timeline image. Yeah, that is confusing. So, Deadpool 2 starts with it happening in 2018 (Deadpool trying to kill himself), then we move to 2054 (Cable's family being killed and him coming back in time), and that creates a new timeline (i.e. the bottom timeline) for the rest of the movie. Yeah, Deadpool 2 and the time travel is indeed abit tricky. Sorry that I didn't follow your original question. Hope that helps!
Yes, indeed! This video (ruclips.net/video/ouq8Qy3ivFE/видео.html) goes into detail on the entire timeline and this video (ruclips.net/video/_n4jsKkLAgc/видео.html) presents an alternate placement for the OG trilogy.
Why is the original X-Men trilogy labeled as late 90's when the film specifics it takes place in the "near-future" of when the film released, which was 2000?
Excellent question. I've gone back and forth on what to do with the original trilogy's timeline placement, but if you haven't seen this video, check it out as it discusses why the 90's might work better for those movies: ruclips.net/video/_n4jsKkLAgc/видео.html
perfectly makes sense! its like 2023 wolverine can travel to 1973, but 1973 cant if he wants to he shd require a very powerful mutant with temporal powers! i have a request, this channel and ur work and work of discord guys is awesome... can u just make a video of all MCU prelude comics, because very few people know about it and i am also aware like this MCU Timeline book made mcu prelude comics decanonized but to me those preludes are the only ones that could fill the time gap between the series...
Awesome...glad it made sense. I agree, working with the Discord team is so much fun. They are great! As for the prelude comics, I do need to do that at some point. But I need to get Marvel Unlimited so I can get access to all the digital versions of the comics and then I'll be set.
@@AbitofEverything4U I think the actor alden ehrenreich from the iron heart series could be playing Ezekiel stane - the iron monger 2.0 , secret villain who framed riri Williams and stated a war between wakandans and talokans , he is planning a perfect marriage of mystic arts and technology using the hood!! My theory
Great question! So if you’re interested, I did a video quite a while back on that topic and you can find it here: ruclips.net/video/7_nL3cBve94/видео.html. It’s a pretty good discussion of the overall topic, but I agree that I should do something else to get into a little more detail. My thought right now is to wait until Captain America 4 comes out and to see whether they tie into what happened to the leader in the comic or whether they contradict it. If you watch the video you’ll know what I mean by that statement. So I may wait a little bit before going into detail on the comics, but I will definitely do it before long.
Good question...so my theory is that the Loki series just deals with He Who Remain isolating the sacred timeline (i.e. 616) and protecting it inside the loom. But the other universes across the multiverse still existed as He Who Remains didn't kill them off...he just hid from them. So I think the Spider-Verse movies, the X-Men movies, the Blade movies, etc, etc all existed out side the loom. If you're interested in a really deep dive on the topic, I cover it in depth in my "History of the Multiverse" video. It's broken into chapters to make it easier to watch in chunks. And I do talk about the spider-verse in that vid: ruclips.net/video/kS-v8GA4Wzc/видео.html
Yes… Definitely agree on that. Although I do think it’s even funnier that he would make the room look like it’s Christmas time even though it’s actually in March. It’s just such a Deadpool thing to do. But you’re right, he could easily have traveled in time to December. Excellent feedback! Thanks so much for watching the vid and sharing your thoughts. Really appreciate it!
superman was 1978 fyi. But anyway, I always looked at the no good deed short as a fun, non-canon thing. As for Once Upon a Deadpool, that could literally be in-universe exactly as it is. After the events of Deadpool 2, Wade decides to kidnap someone and tell a pg-13 version of his adventure
Oops… Did I get the date wrong on the Superman movie? Sorry about that. But yeah, it seems like no good deed could easily be canon. It would certainly explain why Wade knew about the Logan movie. And the fact that the Stan Lee footage was in the end credits of Deadpool & Wolverine makes me all the more convinced it’s probably canon. Of course we’ll never really know because Marvel will never likely give us a timeline book for the X-Men universe. So at the end of the day, it’s really up to each person to decide what to do with it. Anyway, great feedback and thanks for watching the video!
@AbitofEverything4U ive always just explained it in my head that him knowing is just the 4th wall breaking cus if they have it playing in universe then that brings up more questions doesn't it? Although they have x-men comics so maybe it does make sense. Yea theyre never making a timeline book for that universe lolll

Of the clips that I have seen uploaded on RUclips, specifically the "Fight Matt Damon" clip, I've seen one comment say that OUaDP was essentially still an R-Rated movie masquerading as a PG-13 movie.

Love me some Deadpool. Hoping they do a PG-13 cut of DP&W, purely to see how they weave around the scenes with Johnny and some of Cassandra Nova's lines 😭😭😭
I agree...we totally need a PG-13 version just to see if it's only 15 minutes long. lol!
I don’t think they will, but honestly outside of extensive bloody violence, they could definitely cut some dialogue down without the f bombs and still tell the coherent story.

Good point! I guess there could be a Fred Savage in 10005. if so, I’m sure he has changed his address and made it unlisted after his experience with Deadpool! lol!
So, regarding Once Upon A Deadpool, I have always had a similar thought to the idea that you proposed here:
After the events of Deadpool 2, Wade kidnapped Fred Savage and forced him to listen to his retelling of that story

The dust in his eyes is actually a reference to Princess bride where he gives the same excuse
Oh yeah! I forgot about that. You’re actually the first person to mention that, but you’re right. Excellent catch!
I like to believe Once Upon a Deadpool takes place in April. Sort of a callback to the first movie.
DP: "Merry Christmas!"
Dopinder: "A convivial Tuesday in April to you, Pool."
Niiiiiice! That's a really cool theory!
Good points!
The old man and the sea thing is actually a spoiler for Logan. This short was played before Logan screening so the Old man and the sea was shown as it shared themes with the Logan movie. Some also says it's a parallel to Deadpool 2 plot.
Oh wow...now that's a great point! Love that!
But there are a few key things that require Deadpool to visit Fred around March, 2018:
@@DukeBluedevil70 But it's our job to overthink this stuff! It's just what we do!
I love that idea...I agree...that's the perfect placement!

Those bits with Deadpool and Fred makes me hopeful to see a pg Deadpool interact with other heroes in Secret Wars
Good point...it might not be the real world, per se, but just a universe with Ryan Reynolds and Fred Savage in it.
Bro puts more effort into the xmen timeleine than fox and Disney put together
lol! You are probably right about that!

Smart move…there is definitely value in having your own physical and / or digit copy.
Niiiiiice! Yeah, that could work as well. With Deadpool, anything is a valid answer! lol!
If there wasnt any leaks for Deadpool and Wolverine, they couldve done another type no good deed, to reference what was coming in the movie, like a tiny easter egg of Wolverines suit
Very true...that would have been cool!
Oh wow...what an interesting storyline. I may have to check that out!
So if the Green Lantern is Dead, it means Fridging has no example for the term 15:20
Yeah, it was definitely a shot fired at DC! Great point!
I wonder if anyone's made an ultimate r-rated cut of Once Upon a Deadpool yet? Adding the r-rated and extended scenes in with the story book sections of OUADP
That would be awesome to see!
Uh, never noticed the LOGAN reference in NGD, thanks !
Yeah, I love those Logan references. That was such an awesome touch!
No good deed was a total teaser for Deadpool too but it feels like it’s own thing so I’d say maybe it is cannon just random day in the life of dp between movies
I agree...I think it works great as a random day in between the two DP movies. Nice call!
I remember the “no good deed” short played before Logan in the theaters
It did indeed. That was so awesome. And then if debuted on RUclips the very next day after Logan released in theaters. Reynolds is truly a marketing genius!
Getting me into working my chart lol
I was hoping this would help. I was actually working on it while that discussion was going on the other day in the discord!
Would it be possible to find the months that all the xmen movies take place? Love the vids btw super helpful keep doing what you do
Great question!
Love everything you said...yeah, those are the many reasons I prefer DP 2 over DP 1. Very well summarized!
I agree I love Deadpool 2 more, it's more watchable. Not bogged down by an origin
Well said! Yeah, I just feel it’s more watchable
Oh hey it's me !!!!
Truly, an honor to have you watch the video, Wade. Thanks for the awesome content you provide!
@@AbitofEverything4U No problem. I come around randomly and plus watching a RUclips video about yourself isn't new for me but it is for Disney 😉.
lol! Indeed!
What about other short film "Deadpool and Korg"?
But maybe he was just playing along with Deadpool but actually had no clue what he was talking about. lol!
@@AbitofEverything4U well, Korg for sure likes meeting new friends in spare time 😂😂😂
Exactly!
Oh wow...that's awesome. I saw the Firefly movie over there, but didn't realize Morena was in it. That's so cool of Reynolds to do that!
I remember watching no good deed younger with my dad
Yeah… I’m pretty sure it was played in the theaters in front of the Logan movie which is awesome. Ryan Reynolds is such a marketing genius!
Maybe Fred Savage is 616 like Elon in Ironman! So Once Upon a Deadpool2 can land as an attempt to appease the mouse
True… That would be funny if he was part of 616!
@@AbitofEverything4U the way Elon is in Ironman
Yeah, that would be perfect!
Is there an easy way to watch once upon a deadpool because I have never been able to find it anywhere
I couldn't find it online anywhere. So I checked it out from the library, as I didn't want to have to purchase the physical copy. Although it's a funny enough movie that I may get the physical copy at some point.
Isn’t once upon a Deadpool just him telling the story of Deadpool 2 to the one guy
Correct...that's the long and the short of it. ofc, it adds lots of funny new jokes and it's also a PG-13 version, but you pretty much summed it up very well!
It just came to mind, technically that history with Essex corporation technically could be revisited considering we got more of the universe and might in the future too
I do not believe this will happen, actually the contrary, but it would be so funny if it did
I agree...that would be a very cool idea if they decided to do that.
Love Deadpool, Hopefully he survive in secret wars
Me too...I'd love many more years of Deadpool to come!
But Thor holds him
@@giuseppecastiglione1709 Can't wait for them to pay that off!
Can't remember if we got a Fredpool. But if not, we need one!
YAS! Sooooo need a Fredpool!
I also believe in the possibility that Deadpool went to the real world and traveled to different times, such as the premiere of Logan itself.
Niiiiice! Imagine him chilling in the theater until Logan dies and he screams out in pain!
What about the Korg and Deadpool crossover video, where does that take place in the timeline?
How have I never heard of these?!?
ikr? They don't get much attention. I had never seen either of them, but had alot of fun breaking them down for the video!
very good. Got to see Once Upon a Deadpool again. For some reason it isn't on Disney plus.
Yeah, it's so weird that it isn't on D+ yet. I can't figure that out. Hope it shows up soon!
1:11 I like this a lot and makes the x-men timeline less confusing. Which is a godsend
3:00 Better yet: he watched recaps because he doesn’t have time to watch movies
4:15 what more could you want in life?
4:48 What’s great about this moment is it’s included in the end credits montage. Such a great sendoff.
7:05 man I wish we could get a P-13 cut of Deadpool and Wolverine and it’s Deadpool recapping the movie to Vanessa. Sadly shawn levy has said Deadpool and Wolverine is the Final Cut plus OUADP didn’t do that well and wasn’t well received. Shame
8:45 LAMO
9:15 Best part is Deadpool reaction to Free Guy trailer he also mentions fringing and Deadpool2
11:16 what’s so cool about Brad Pitt’s cameo here is all he asked was a cup of coffee from Ryan Reynolds and he be in the movie.
12:00 That’s genuinely heartwarming
12:22 in the comics there’s an “evil Deadpool” that’s wade torn body parts sown together so Fred isn’t far off
Fantastic commentary as always. Loved reading it all! And yeah, that Stan Lee "RIP" addition was just so dang awesome!
C'mon DP&W definitely could have been a Sinister reveal… he was Specifically referenced in Once Upon a Deadpool
I agree...I'd have loved a Sinister reveal!
(SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO HASNT SEEN IT)
Deadpool and Wolverine is all about saving Earth-10005.
Yeah, I'd kinda prefer they put it in the Mutant Legacy section as well. Will be very interesting to see what they decide!
Just wanted to point out that the timeline document lists the new film as November, whereas this video claims that it’s in October.
Ooops! Thanks for pointing that out. I'm updating it to October in the timeline document now. Thanks!
2:48 We know comic books exist in this universe. Why not comic book movies? Obviously, it wouldn't be the same movie, but maybe it is an actual Wolverine in a universe movie.
Great points! Yeah, that could definitely work!
So, if you wanted to catch up on all things deadpool before you watch the new one, does this mean you would have to watch deadpool 2 twice in a row?
That’s a good question… I mean, technically you wouldn’t have to watch once upon a Deadpool because it’s just Deadpool retelling the story of the original movie. So you certainly wouldn’t need to watch it. But it is kind of fun to see how it’s different and of course there’s a lot of new scenes of him talking to Fred.
Unless Deadpool is in 2018-2019 where the actual buyout were, or
Maybe as of the most recent divorce mentioned in film, placing him in line with Hawkeye Season 1
They should add both no good deed and as well as once a upon a Deadpool to Disney plus soon
I totally agree… It’s so weird that those aren’t on Disney+!
@@AbitofEverything4U No Good Deed is just a short and not really movie, but I'm surprised Once Upon A Deadpool is not on DIsney Plus yet.

I always thought that they were a directors cut version of DP 1 and 2
There is a Director cut of Deadpool 2 I think it’s called something like the Super Duper cut. And then portions of that cut were added to the once upon a Deadpool version.
Is there a PG-13 cut of the first Deadpool or just the second one?
I’m not aware of one. I do hope Marvel makes a PG-13 version of Deadpool and Wolverine, because I think it will open it up to an even wide audience.
“Hope this makes it easier” has Deadpool 2 on the list 3 times 💀
Does your other video explaining the entire timelines explain more?

My theory
Can you cover when the MCU Comics take place? Or If they are even Canon?
Great question! So if you’re interested, I did a video quite a while back on that topic and you can find it here:
ruclips.net/video/7_nL3cBve94/видео.html.
Do the Spider-verse movies have to occur after loki or could they be before?

Although I do think it’s even funnier that he would make the room look like it’s Christmas time even though it’s actually in March. superman was 1978 fyi.
