If we install the countersink bolt, what's the correct diameter that we use to calculate the edge margin and spacing - bolt shank diameter, bolt head diameter or its average diameter? Thanks for your input
I think your 5/32 x 2.8 = 3/8ths is wrong. I believe the correct answer is 25/64ths. If I'm wrong please correct me because my mind is going crazy while im studying trying to get it right.
This video is only a rough guide. Manufacturers have their own guidelines and even after that engineers can make different rules. Hilites can have a lower ed than a rivet also. Non load bearing bolts can have strangely low ed and pitch. I fit a bracket in my job that has 1/4 ed for a 5/32 rivet, this has an exemption in the epr. But as a general rule 1/8 rivet .25" ed 5/32 rivet .30" and 3/16 is .35" these are absolute minimum and would always try for more.
those last few images were just a tad bit disconcerting. . . thank you for the video and information!

hi can I get the source of this ?
Hello, why the edge distance of 5/32x 2.5= 3/8? I think 25/64? I have a doubt.
I'm saying the same thing!!!! My mind is going crazy over here
Yep damn right
Please provide source for the formula
Perfect
What is the Edge Distance of 3/32 x 2.5D? Is it 7/32 or 1/4?
15/64

John Davis you’re wrong
Shawn Agard then break it down then because I’m not the only one that got a different answe
