I’ve been enjoying IA’s music since discovering it as a 14 year old in 1973. Rok Flote is a great album. I really like Zealot Gene too. I would love to see a concert where he played only the newest stuff that better fits his current vocal range
Excellent Stewart! Really like the 12-string guitar. Thankfully we still have Anderson writing tricky songs without them sounding "tricked up". Written only for the sharp mind to listen to and appreciate.
Well done, sir, and thank you for shedding light on the nuances of this song. This album hasn’t grabbed me like ZG did, but I’m still giving it a chance.
Stewart, I enjoy your renditions of new Tull songs much more than hearing Ian struggle vocally through the original recordings. Thank you for keeping me engaged in his new compositions - music I had previously abandoned.
I was listening to the Chateau de Disaster and heard the rough Sealion recording and preferred it to the album version. Would like to know if I am the only person. I like Cornucopia it seems like a fitting Anderson song in so many ways. Thank you for sharing.👍
Masterful Playing, Stewart, as always...have a 12 strings, but in your expert hands, seems much lighter, and airy... Keep on with your superb versions!!!
Thank you. It's a Sigma 12 string. I've had it for many years and used it on a few of my Tull covers when I think the song calls for it (eg Broadsword, Love Story, Lap Of Luxury, And Further On). Not sure if Ian plays a 12 string on any Tull songs to be honest but I'll give it some thought.(Gave it some thought: One Brown Mouse, definitely...)
I've been pretty much finatical about Tull since I was introduced to them in 1969. I can recall playing the borrowed This Was album on a friend's stereo and micing the speakers to my reel to reel. Every album is pretty much engrained in me and I've seen Tull at least 2 dozen times. That being said, I have yet to connect with RF. The same is nearly true of The Zealot Gene. It seems to me that the symbiosis that Martinn Barre brought to the band and the progressive decline in Ian's vocal range have resulted in the loss of a magical quality that for me ended after the release of Dot Com though I did quite like TAAB 2.
Magnificent. Thanks Stewart. Great to see some Rockflute love. Nothing is simple or straightforward with IA. Nothing is Easy.
A wonderful moment.

Ian is still writng some wonderful songs but truth be told Stewart it's your voice and guitar that elevates a song like this to a pure gem.👏👏
It's a blessing for me hearing from you, Stewart 🥰! Hope you're staying safe 🥰
Great stuff! More from Catfish Rising please :)

Nice, this is easily my favorite song from the album too.
Well done Stewart ❤

I like the lesson at the end of your great rendition.

I love Ian's vocals on this song

Nice job. Is that a new guitar? Martin 12 string? Sounds great. Is that what Ian played?
