- Chuck Berry's iconic hit takes on a darker deeper meaning when performed in the minor key. My version breaks into the familiar major key for one chorus.
This song swings hard and makes a body want to float on down to New Orleans and celebrate an anniversary. We can also imagine the old folks sitting on the front porch, shaking their heads and tut-tutting to the sounds of the phonograph from the house next door!
That's one of the best covers of any song I've ever heard.
Just pure Badazz! So glad I came upon your channel.
An interesting, laidback version of this old song. Nicely put together.
"Floating down the lazy river" Robbie Robertson
Doug, I swear to God, if I had anything to do with it, you would be getting a JUNO...and a Grammy and an Academy Award! You're one of the best, anywhere!!!!
Wow, very cool. The tempo & the minor key. You're right, the message totally changes. Like a kid who is now an older adult looking nostalgicallyh back on that time.
WOW! WOW! What a voice!! Amazing!!
One of the most unique and inspirational talents I’ve seen in years. Thanks so much.

Oh man, this is super hip! Really enjoyed the instrumentation and arrangement. Nice guitar too - looks like a vintage Kay!
@@bluesbaby8 it’s a 60’s Kay Red Devil with Speed Demon pick ups! Great guitar!
@@djczep Ah, nice! The first thing I noticed was the pickups - I have the same kind in my Speed Demon. 😎🎸
@@bluesbaby8 I have the Speed Demon bass as well. It shows up in this tune:
