  • Join us today as we review the Multifort TV Big Date, a new release from Swiss watch brand Mido. We have the entire collection here with us in this video, so you'll be able to see all the dial color variations, as well as the bracelet and rubber strap options.
    The TV Big Date is a really unique watch with a large date window located at 12' oclock on the dial, an unusual position. The rest of the watch is what you'd expect from Mido providing great value and a very nice overall finish to the watch.

    Just got the green face from duty free in Seoul. Like the reviewer I thought the charcoal face was a close 2nd. These watched are spectacular when viewed. I was amazed at the price and had no hesitation in purchasing it on the spot and wearing it out. I had on my Breitling Navitimer and swapped it out for this one for the flight home.

    The early production units had a flaw in the movement that would cause the date window to get stuck at the same time each month and would only cycle via moving the time, not via quick set. If you have the issue Mido will repair your unit under warranty, takes no time at all.

    Great review. Your observations as far as it looking it great on the wrist versus off it are spot on as are you comments about the hour marker size. A very nice piece overall.

    Great content! I leave comment and like for recognition. 👌🏻
    Mido is one of my fav brand. Their Multifort collection are amazing. I have 38mm two tone. One of the best EDC under 2K.
    Ps. Mido use Powermatic 80 with minimum 25 jewels and regular escapement. C07.6xx and higher version which is nice.

    How do you mention the bracelet and then not tell us if it is pins and collars or screws in links?

  • @mybrainlikesthings
    @mybrainlikesthings Месяц назад

    I disagree on the bracelet. It seems cheap to me: The butterfly clasp doesn’t open nicely, feeling cheap. And while the bracelet links are fairly solid, mine got amazingly scuffed up after only a couple month’s of light use. I can’t compare metals between this and other luxury watches, but I get the impression that the metal on this bracelet is softer. Similar situation on the scuffing with Rado HyperChrome. You definitely won’t get this amount of scuffing from more expensive watches.

      The butterfly clasp on mine felt fairly sturdy. I’d be curious to see the amount of scuffing your bracelet took on. The polished links on my Daytona began to scuff on its second day of use from rubbing against the cuff (cotton), in some situations the steel alloy type doesn’t help much.

      I received mine from the AD over a week ago and no issues with the date wheels and plus two seconds per day, most of my new Rolex's barely achieve that. Well done Mido!@Watchreviewblog
