I've heard that it's going to be walking up to vehicles instead of power ups. Not 100% sure if that's what's going to happen, but it is a rumor floating around.
Yeah that way more content played at 15-20 FPS in 360p with low poly graphics! YAY! Honestly the old Battlefront ran like ass and looked like ass and that's the reason you were able to go from space to on-ship battles and back out again, because the graphics were so bad they had memory room to do more. Well it's the day and age where things must look at least 720p or more and have 60 frames per second, so sacrifices need to be made.
+Sajirou Clearly never actually played the old battlefronts. It ran flawless on PC and even on consoles it ran just fine. And the graphics were actually pretty good for that time. Also I'm not sure you understand what you're talking about anyway. The graphics were bad so that gave them more ram to use? And we can't make a game run at 1080p 60fps without it being a generic static map shooter? Even thou we have vastly better hardware now?
Lavarious right? Just another pissed off EA fanboy. Better graphics is never an excuse for lack of content. Look at gta with amazing graphics and still enough content to last actual years
I'm sad to here the story will be about redemption. Can we not just have one full Empire themed game that isn't PURE EVIL or we join the Rebels in the end?
Cairanmac1 yea i want a game that is only on the empires side because we get games once in a while that has you playing as evil but as usual you are forced to join the rebels

"Pure Evil"? THE EMPIRE FIGHTS FOR LAW AND ORDER! I think the fact that all of these 'improvements' were all part of the original games from 12 years ago says a lot about the current state of this series

+locke180 I really liked Mike's review but I think he gave EA way too much credit for the new Battlefront 1 it was a substandard shooter that nickle and dimed you at every opportunity
Have you played it recently. I think people have the nostalgia goggles on for that game, it was decent in its day but has not aged well. I'm no fan of the new one (in fact I refused to buy it because of the ridiculous season pass bullshit) but the old ones really aren't the masterpieces they seem to be lauded as. They were a fairly well done rip off's of its contemporary Battlefield games with scaled down maps to work on consoles.
If you're not ready to pay 70-80$ for basic game without DLCs , then don't expect newer titles to have that big variety of content like games from 10+ years ago. You must understand that back then graphics, animations and other mechanism were much more simpler. Making content was much faster and subsequently much cheaper. This is why You don't get much more TES games with entire Tamriel. It can be done, but not for 60$ per copy.
+The36th I have a full-time job and can easily afford to pay that much for a game but I am not going to buy a game that purposely keeps portions out so they can market it as DLC there are hundreds of indie games for a fraction of the price that gives me just as much entertainment
Tie fighter is the game your looking for except the empire is framed as the good guys from a different point of view as they stop civil wars between 2 factions stop pirates fight rebels ect. You see that the empire is more grey.

They need to add conquest mode back into it. That was one of the best things to do the original star wars battlefield 2, let you play a turn base against a computer, and can be adapted to play aginst another person.
Rapidfire626 yea then when you are capturing a point the enemies will just keep spawning at the point before you could capture causing you to rage and regret your decisions
Sean DeHart there wont be one why remake the old games? the game is still available on steam so go and buy the game and play galatic conquest. There is no point remaking an old game. It will just cause the old games to be empty. Try something new instead
Unknown 258 I don't want them to remake Battlefront II, what I want is the game MODE Galactic Conquest with all the new stuff. Galactic Conquest is as Star Wars as an X-Wing or Darth Vader so, why exclude it? when it would only help EA's case for this sequal? Galactic Conquest was like a mini campaign played your way with your faction. Who doesn't love that? Add to that it features in other games outside Battlefront. Empire at War's Galactic Conquest was MASSIVE! about 64 total planets! Man I spent weeks in a game!
WHEREISSPACEBAR Did you get every power-up at legendary level? It becomes epic to play anything offline! Like replacing the light blaster with a hand sniper, and unlocking guided missiles for the rocket launchers... Man this game was great.
It wasn't exactly unlocks, it took me like two years to figure out, but if you did something in a life, like kill 12 enemies with the blaster, 6 with the pistol, score 3 critical hits on a vehicle with a rocket launcher, hack an enemy vehicle... You unlocked something. Most of the time an upgrade for you weapon. You had to switch off it the take it back, and it turned the blaster into a 3-bullets burst, the pistol into a mini sniper, added piloted rockets to your weapons, turned auto healing on on vehicles... It was really satisfying. And over time, if you had these in saved solo games, you could unlock it at the beginning of the round. That was really nice.
Oh yeah, I unlocked the damage bonus, the damage reduction, rapid stamina regen, the precision pistol, and the elite rifle for the beginning of each match. Didn't like the rifle, tbh, I like automatic weapons much better.
Space Music did not know that. My hope for this game has improved considerably! As long as we don't defect over to the Rebel Scum I'll be happy, even if it ends with getting killed by Luke
Big Nonce think about though if EA has Disney backing it and battlefront 2015 was a strong foundation all they have to do is add on to it which it looks like it did
It would be lame, the combat is very dated, and the campaign mode was silly, the reason why the game holds up is nostalgia, remastering it would just ruin your good times
Mantas Pavardė I've whipped it out multiple times since moving to 360 and then PS4. Still a joy to play after all these years. Sure the feel of the animations is slightly floaty and whatnot but that's the stuff you deal with as part of a ground up remaster
"...That suggests the single-player campaign will be more than a thing you'd only play if your Internet connection had been severed for eight weeks by an earthquake, and all your other game disks had been snapped in the same earthquake." What about local games you had already downloaded onto your computer or phone? Or board games? Or card games? Or books?
I'd assume that if the earthquake was so bad to knock your internet out for 8 weeks you'd also have a period of time without electricity so I'd be trying to conserve my batteries. Although I guess you could try to recreate the struggles of the galatic civil war through a number of monoploy sessions. (or just one)
GIVE US A CHARACTER WHO REMAINS LOYAL TO THE CAUSE, EA! THE REBELS ARE TERRORISTS, AND THE EMPIRE BRINGS ORDER!!! Sorry, I'm very passionate about this. I want to see a game where the Rebels are NOT portrayed as the good guys, for once. I want to see a game from a loyal Imperial soldier's perspective.
Just let it us play as the cool empire guys without having to learn a valuable lesson and join the good guys at the end. You know, like the original battlefront 2 did
that TIE Fighter reference, thank you, Mike Here's to the days of persevering against huge odds in some of the best SW starfighters ever like the TIE Avenger, Defender, and the Missile Boat
Two things that they still need to see: 1). Preset loadouts for new players that gives them a taste of some of the power-ups and guns you can use while not being totally overpowered by players that have unlocked everything. 2). Vehicles are not power-ups. They go back to the old Battlefront/Battlefield method of spawning at the factions start points and can be operated by more than 1 person. It was kinda fun having tank battles against.
Darth Portus and the rebellion overthrew the current government and was unable to implement another government, killing millions and leading to the rise of another, worse regime.
DICE's plan: "Let's make a game that already was made years ago except this time, let's remove stuff from it and after that make a second game that is finally more like the good game years back"
Battlefront 2 (the old version) had a kind of corruption story, the opposite of what this new one sounds like. You play as clone troopers fighting the CIS and eventually the campaign leads to order 66 and you play as storm troopers fighting rebels. The campaign ends with the battle of Hoth where you can drive an AT-AT. It was pretty fun and offered an interesting view from the point of loyal, Imperial soldiers. Glad to see EA paying some attention to single player. Also, good to see they are willing to incorporate some decent things from the prequels like Darth Maul.
Executive Sonda well I don't care what you think cause it's my choice. EA know their mistakes in the first game and have improved dramatically for this game so you can sit all stubborn while I enjoy myself on battlefront 2 :)
Executive Sonda it doesn't matter bro EA do this all the time. It's not illegal to make a disappointing game it is annoying but this game EA have listened to us and improved on what the community have asked. So like I said you enjoy being stubborn in your room complaining to those who are excited for this game.
This is the fucking problem with EA's model, whether it be Star Wars, Madden, literally any game from them. A sequel shouldnt "fix" anything, it should improve on what's there. a great example is the Arkham games, nothing was fixed, they just kept adding to it and as a result it's one of the best game series out there. Fix your bullshit company EA.
Well no, they are adding to it by adding more maps, all era’s and what not. Anyway, a sequel should fix things that were bad in the previous game, which most developers try to do, not just EA
I only recently learned about Disney giving Dice such a short window to create BF. Knowing that, they actually did a damn good job for the situation. Thrilled to see how it'll be when they have reasonable time to produce the new one.
1. Quicker connection to the servers. 2. The light saber fighting to mimic the force unleashed. 3. different player levels 4. being able to chat with team members during the game. 5. a coop game like socom where it is multiple players against the AI.
the game isnt out yet ... dont say they fixed it yet. as of right now its an unfulfilled promise..... also its ea they will ruin it... long live pandemic studios! the original battlefronts will always be better
An Order 66 mode would be fantastic. 2 ways it could work: You're an elite commando in the 501st. The Order just came down, & now the Temple is being stormed. Rather than go in the front door, you & your 3 squad mates (up to 4 player Co-op or AI companions like in Republic Commandos) go through killing Jedi, collecting holocrons, & killing more Jedi. This type would either be a medium length mission that's replayable, or basically Jedi (instead of zombie) survival. The other way it could work out is you're a Jedi Knight on an outer rim would in the midst of a battle. Your soldiers stop advancing & start shooting at you. You have to fight through wave after wave of clones. Multiplayer could add aspects like starting as a 'padwan' level, with the ability to level up to knight, master, & grandmaster. If there was an ending, it could be you finally stealing a fighter (Which could Segway into Order 66 space mode).
packersuck18 I'd be interested to see how an online galactic conquest would work. I feel like it would be a lot of fun and add a lot more meaning to each round but would be hard to pull off in way that people felt they were able to jump in and out of the conquest they've put hours into
War thunder pulls this off with a "ongoing confrontation" mode. Its basically a game server that runs for a week. People join, spawn in as their choice of airplane/tank/team, and fight for the objectives like they normally do. They can choose to leave after they die (I believe there is a penalty for leaving early) and the game will go on without them
How about split-screen in the actual modes people will actually want to play? Maybe keep the coop survival missions, but make them 4 player and just better. Allow us to couch coop with our friends/family with other ONLINE players, don't divide that shit. The worst thing you can do in a multiplayer game, is feature a single-player campaign. Look at call of duty and battlefield games, where players that have 500+ hours but only 20% achievements because the other 80% are campaign achievements..... call of duty is a franchise I find very distasteful, but world at war and black ops 3 got it right with their cooperative campaigns, and you know, people ACTUALLY played *those* campaigns. Oh and for fucks sake, can the coop survival mode contribute to our multiplayer level? There was 0% reason to play the shitty 2 player missions in 2015's battlefront, without xp that contributes to your character, the mode was pointless. I think it may have given a minimal amount of currency for weapon unlocks, but again, it was so small and you only got it once aaaand no one gives a fuck about that, we want *XP* and I can't stress it enough, YOU ONLY GOT IT ONCE so there's 0% replayability Another problem that applies to both Battlefront and Battlefield 1, they focused completely on making the experience cinematic and immersive, which is great if you're one of those basic bitches that actually have lives and just play for an hour a week... but then you got the people who are actually going to be playing 8 hours a day every day, and they are going to be over 90% of the people that buy the game. So in other words, it just becomes such a drag. If you've played pretty much every map over 100 times across every mode, you start getting tired of the same shit, and you just want to get back to the gameplay. I remember back in Battlefield 3, I could played for like an hour to 2 hours in a single conquest match, and it was awesome. But now in Battlefield 1 and the recent Battlefront, it's like 10 minutes of loading, 3 minutes of cinematic shit, and then 10-15 minutes of gameplay and back to the loading.... and like I said, that's perfect for the average American that plays on the their Xbox for 1 hour a week, you know, they get an awesome immersive movie like experience, and then they're done. But the rest of us want an all day substantial competitive session,
Everyone said they didnt want Battlefront to be a BF4 with Star Wars Skins, but that was exactly what I wanted, and now see what wanting change got you.
I really don't like the special characters. looks so cheesy and takes away from the feel imho. I like the idea of their just being masses of nameless soldiers and elites.
The heroes are Star Wars. That's what sets Battlefront apart from all the other multiplayer FPS games. Without Vader and Luke Skywalker, it would just be another generic FPS, just with more lasers.
doing skirmish matches with a friend against bots on any map you want. ps2 battlefront had modes like hunt, hero battle, conquest, capture the flag, they were all awsome and certain maps like mos eisley or the death star and hoth made the game so enjoyable. if we could do the exact same thing and just copy that and update the graphics, you'd have a very happy customer
'Giving even bad players the chance to play as the heroes'. Now if I recall correctly (and I'm damned sure I do), Battlefront 2 allowed the online host to choose if there was heroes and how they were dolled out. You could choose one of three options. The best player gets it, the worst player gets it or it was completely random. I also like them not referring to Battlefront 2 as a campaign where you played the baddies. Battlefront 2 (2017) says it's going to start bad and then go good. BF2 started you off as the good clones and eventually become Vader's personal battle group.
Will it be so that you can play a hero for as long as you have health? I love how BF 2015 encourages you to play cautiously to stay alive for as long as possible when you finally get that hero pick-up.
I just want a game that worked the same as the two originals: -a list of maps to play on from both eras -command posts -playing the maps offline with two teamsof NPCs going at it with you -galactic conquest Throw in a multitude of heroes and maybe a decent campaign, and perhaps we may have something resembling a battlefront game.
So, everyone remembers the mode on Mos Eisly in battlefront II (2005) where everyone was a hero/villian and no troopers or droids or rebels, WHY CANT THAT BE A GAME MODE EVER????
Here's 3 things I want to see in this game 1: Operations or something similar to operations. 2: improved lightsaber combat (like from Jedi knight). 3: clone wars era battles, heroes, and etc.
This sounds absolutely amazing. Which means we'll probably get 2 of the 6. Maybe 3 if they're technically there but crappy versions of what was promised.
One thing I really hope they do is the ability to have a 2nd player come in at any time during the campaign/instant action/galactic conquest without affecting the save file or anything. SWBF2 was able to do that and I honestly think that was still way ahead of its time
Dammit, Oxbox! How dare you get me hyped for this game?! After the last one, I swore that I'd keep my expectations really low for all upcoming EA games...
I wish they made 2 story modes (unlikely) but think about it. Depending on which side you choose, then you play THEIR justified story. You could also include galactic battles, where, depending at which side you wanted (not which campaign you played) you could fight for systems in multiplayer while representing you faction.
Genius idea: Make a VR experience of the bridge of one of those capital ships they mentioned. Put real humans on all of the ships, instead of just the fighters.
I'm personally excited about it. I admittedly was okay with the original 2015 Battlefront(I agree with most of the problems mentioned here, but I'm usually not the type to let those problems ruin the experience) so any extra steps they take with Battlefront II(2017) is a bonus. Don't expect it to be a good recreation of the original Battlefront II, as not many modern games would make contemporary decisions like the original game's development did. It is, after all, a reboot - it's based on similar principles to keep the name, but it is different enough to not be considered a sequel. Luckily for me, I have rarely been disappointed by games. Admittedly I have lower standards for my games, but that's fine - it means I can enjoy the stuff that everyone else can't be entertained by(which seems like literally every new game that comes out. No, seriously, I'm always on the wrong side of the fanbase and it's getting a bit tiring). :P
I'm not so sure about the "redemption" part for the story mode. I could be wrong, but I think they meant redemption as in the Empire/First Order reclaiming its honor after losing the war, as opposed to one character switching sides.
I bought Battlefront, played a few hours but there was just not enough content to keep me interested. Although, it looks like I'll be buying this one as well. The good thing about sequels is that they're usually better, since the developers can fix the issues they had in the past game, also improve the game by adding those missing features, modes, etc...
I honestly didn't care much that there wasn't prequel content in battlefront because I hate the prequels so much and always just forget about the prequels completely without even trying
As someone who hasn't yet got 2015 Battlefront, do you think it'll be worth skipping that and waiting for II? BTW I want Grievous and Ahsoka for the game!
Am I the only one who hates that you have to get a pickup to drive a vehicle? I miss just being able to walk up to the vehicle to drive it
I've heard that it's going to be walking up to vehicles instead of power ups. Not 100% sure if that's what's going to happen, but it is a rumor floating around.
zeth97 how about how they basically changed everything from the original battlefront games that made them amazing.
it prevents spawn camping next to the vehicle
zeth97 they changed it but they didn't really explain what with.
zeth97 nobody likes the coin pick ups lol
funny that a PS2 game from 2005 had way more content than this battlefront reboot. like way more, no contest.
Yeah that way more content played at 15-20 FPS in 360p with low poly graphics! YAY!

rd0676 that's because ea likes to sellout and put as little into the vanilla game as possible, so that people will pay money for DLC

I miss galactic conquest :\

“EA has learned its lesson”? Can those words even be used in the same sentence?!
sketch book yes
sketch book Yes.
"Those words, how can they be put together in a sentence like that?!" -Spongebob Squarepants
No they didn’t
I also want the lightsaber battles to be less like smashing two action figures together.
Lewis Hassall u clearly never played SWBF2 😏😏
The original of course, but doesn't make me wrong
Smashing two action figures together is also how Zack Snyder arranges his fight choreography.
They said that they are adding a new system for lightsabers so they don't do what you said.
Lewis Hassall it should be more like For Honor's fighting system
I miss galactic conquest and instant action. Oh and a campaign.
Also if they make a Star Wars reskin for battlefield 4 I'll be fine with that too.
Sleepy Cerberus There's now a campaign and instant action, no conquest though still fun.

What can you say? Dice wanted to experiment, they realized their mistakes and are working on fixing that.
"experiment"
That's one way of saying "They rushed the game out for profit and we're too lazy to complete the game before hand/thought they could just charge you double for "DLC" that is really just the other half of the game"
Why can't they just save themselves the trouble and make an HD remake of battlefront 2
Robert Sheppard becuase big companies hate making money

Can't we have one fucking game where you play as the bad guy and stay evil?
TheLordOfTheLegos pretty sure that was the case for the bf2 campaign where you are the clones to stormtroopers in their story narrative
Tie fighter is the game your looking for except the empire is framed as the good guys from a different point of view as they stop civil wars between 2 factions stop pirates fight rebels ect. You see that the empire is more grey.
Force unleashed you could, you just have the choice, I'm assuming they'll give you a choice with BFII also.
Tie Fighter kind of has the same problem because you end up just fighting other imperial factions.
I was thinking the same thing, or even better a good guy turning evil. Like Anakin except less whiney.
I love how the campaign is canon. Hopefully it will be like playing an anthology movie
You mean, "Disney Canon." There is only one true canon, and that is the EU Canon.
I mean, canon can be different for everyone depending on what they choose to believe.
Aidan Callahan well too bad your EU got ripped right out of cannon after the movie i have no doubt you were massively hyped for.

where did they state that tho
it sounds like what we wanted in the first place, battlefield in space. I'm excited
good battlefield mind you, not battlefield 1
burning newt whats wrong w bf1?
Mike N its casual and sucks
burning newt good luck its pay 2 win its like a freemium game except u actually pay before playing it
I never wanted battlefield in space I just want star wars meng.

Galactic Conquest was like a mini campaign played your way with your faction. Who doesn't love that? Add to that it features in other games outside Battlefront. Empire at War's Galactic Conquest was MASSIVE! about 64 total planets! Man I spent weeks in a game!
Galactic conquest gave you a sense of progression in Battlefront, something that was lacking severly in the last game.
Battlefront 2 (the 2005 one) is so good. I played that campaign so many times. If the new one is half as good, it'll be a treat.
WHEREISSPACEBAR Did you get every power-up at legendary level? It becomes epic to play anything offline! Like replacing the light blaster with a hand sniper, and unlocking guided missiles for the rocket launchers... Man this game was great.
Grégoire Basseville haha. I have no idea what you're saying. I just liked running around with as a Jedi as a kid, I didn't do the unlocks.
Actually, no. I guess it was good if you're mentioning it?
Oh yeah, I unlocked the damage bonus, the damage reduction, rapid stamina regen, the precision pistol, and the elite rifle for the beginning of each match. Didn't like the rifle, tbh, I like automatic weapons much better.
I'm really excited to be playing as a villian in the next Battlefront game. "Expect to be a good guy by the end..."
God damn it.
story is written by writer of Spec Ops The Line....nuff said.
Space Music Ok, that seems promising!
Space Music did not know that. My hope for this game has improved considerably! As long as we don't defect over to the Rebel Scum I'll be happy, even if it ends with getting killed by Luke
Space Music welp now i am hyped
Ok, fucking hyped. That game was amazing and underappreciated.
Space Music And yet something tells me that his story telling won't flourish here, with Disney at the helm.
GIMME THE CLONE WARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sub Morpher25 YOU GOT IT!!!!!!
Don't trust Ea just yet
No one does.
I trust most people, technically. I'm very forgiving.
And so far, I haven't been hurt too badly for that.
Big Nonce think about though if EA has Disney backing it and battlefront 2015 was a strong foundation all they have to do is add on to it which it looks like it did
3:25
debuting in the other battlefront series, the one in 2005.
I think you mean the good one.
If there are no other annoying issues, I know what I'll be sinking my time into. Once I finish Dishonoured 2. *goes back to stealthing around*
Caitlin RC Not if you've played the campaign through 7 times and you want to play it over again, for no reeason
Honeycoat is dishonored 2 short?
Honeycoat did you do all the side missions? assuming there are any
5 hours? you must've overcome a lot of the game's content
Michael Vinicius how London did it take you?
Im hoping for 501st Clone armour customization, and Captian Rex and Commander Cody as playable heroes!
🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
captain rex is going to be a playable hero.
CrownVics&V8s cody sucks XD
Your hopes are too high
I want the ps2 versions remastered
Jake Huffman and there's mods to upgrade it
A_Random_Badger actually there's a few ways online to bypass this one of which is a downloadable app that a lot of people play it on
Hmmm il look into it thanks
It would be lame, the combat is very dated, and the campaign mode was silly, the reason why the game holds up is nostalgia, remastering it would just ruin your good times
Mantas Pavardė I've whipped it out multiple times since moving to 360 and then PS4. Still a joy to play after all these years. Sure the feel of the animations is slightly floaty and whatnot but that's the stuff you deal with as part of a ground up remaster
I'm calling it battlefront 4. I want lucasarts back.
MikeMic productions same!!!!!!!!
Sam Wickham cheers friend.
MikeMic Remember the original battlefront 2? Those were the days...
Damn Kashyyk oil refineries
Do not call it battlefront 4. Call its star wars battlefront 2 EA.
Y2K You don't have to remember. Battlefront 2 is available for five dollars on Steam.
"...That suggests the single-player campaign will be more than a thing you'd only play if your Internet connection had been severed for eight weeks by an earthquake, and all your other game disks had been snapped in the same earthquake."
What about local games you had already downloaded onto your computer or phone? Or board games? Or card games? Or books?
I'd assume that if the earthquake was so bad to knock your internet out for 8 weeks you'd also have a period of time without electricity so I'd be trying to conserve my batteries. Although I guess you could try to recreate the struggles of the galatic civil war through a number of monoploy sessions. (or just one)
look up sarcasm
Violet Moon
you should too
Violet Moon just killed a man
I don't care what EA says, this is Star Wars Battlefront 4.
This isn't Battlefront, this is just a battlefield\ Titanfall clone with Star wars paint on it
Clone Stormtrooper no.
yes
Clone Stormtrooper just like the first battlefront then ?
Clone Stormtrooper how?
if the Main Character Defects, I'll be fucking Livid
Hermaeus Mora it's happening lool
Don't be a bitch, pick a side and stick to it, I don't care if you're empire or rebel so long as you're *loyal*
Aidan Callahan But why? when they're obviously brainwashed or power hungry or weak
Just let it us play as the cool empire guys without having to learn a valuable lesson and join the good guys at the end. You know, like the original battlefront 2 did
that TIE Fighter reference, thank you, Mike
Here's to the days of persevering against huge odds in some of the best SW starfighters ever like the TIE Avenger, Defender, and the Missile Boat
Thats a very efficient earth quake
I'm *shaking* with laughter
Violet Moon I am amazed at the *magnitude* of humor presented in these comments
grave b 8.9 points worthy I'd say
Obi Wan: that battlefront is our last hope...
Yoda: no... there is another.
I can't wait for heroes vs villains with actual decent characters. I remember back in the day playing as yoda and darth maul
and now youll be able to play as them again in this game
Two things that they still need to see:
I hope the main character doesn't defect to hose filthy rebels. #Empiredidnothingwrong
Empire constantly lied to it's citizens, enslaved billions of beings and employed psychopaths like GA Thrawn. #Empiredideverythingwrongandyousuck
how dare you slander Thrawn like that
So says Darth Portus. You must be a saint in the SWU.
Darth Portus and the rebellion overthrew the current government and was unable to implement another government, killing millions and leading to the rise of another, worse regime.
"Were unable to implement another government" What do you mean by that ?
In my opinion just remaster the original Battlefront II but with the graphics of EA's Star War's Battlefront
and what about the repetitive and terrible saber vs saber combat?
He described it perfectly...literally action figures getting smacked around by each other without any thought to it...lol hilarious.
I think he borrowed that from the Honest Trailer
DICE's plan: "Let's make a game that already was made years ago except this time, let's remove stuff from it and after that make a second game that is finally more like the good game years back"
So basically they fixed what they changed from the original BF2.
Ok, seriously, big love for having the original TIE fighter soundtrack playing in the background.
I wanna play as a Wookiee and Jar-Jar Binks
Battlefront 2 (the old version) had a kind of corruption story, the opposite of what this new one sounds like. You play as clone troopers fighting the CIS and eventually the campaign leads to order 66 and you play as storm troopers fighting rebels. The campaign ends with the battle of Hoth where you can drive an AT-AT. It was pretty fun and offered an interesting view from the point of loyal, Imperial soldiers. Glad to see EA paying some attention to single player. Also, good to see they are willing to incorporate some decent things from the prequels like Darth Maul.
3 great games I'm getting this year
- Star Wars Battlefront 2
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- COD WW2
Hypeeeeee
Executive Sonda well I don't care what you think cause it's my choice. EA know their mistakes in the first game and have improved dramatically for this game so you can sit all stubborn while I enjoy myself on battlefront 2 :)
Yeah, right. It is people like you why EA can release bad games and get away with it.
Executive Sonda it doesn't matter bro EA do this all the time. It's not illegal to make a disappointing game it is annoying but this game EA have listened to us and improved on what the community have asked. So like I said you enjoy being stubborn in your room complaining to those who are excited for this game.
Yeah, ... except it's 2 great games. RDR2 is 2018 now.
and madden 18 , 2k18, idk about cod tho
We weren't expecting an outsidexbox video.
That's the point sergeant
I want there to be more split-screen options and modes
You had me at 'angry 5'10'' lady bird Darth Maul' xD
I want general grievous
Go play battlefront 2 on ps2
Yeah! Definitely remember playing as the bad guys is Star Wars: TIE Fighter!
Cool you mentioned that. Good times.
Evan DeRouen UM k
Evan DeRouen Nobody said that is has to be perfect.
Well no, they are adding to it by adding more maps, all era’s and what not. Anyway, a sequel should fix things that were bad in the previous game, which most developers try to do, not just EA
Hawkeye Plerce cough city is better than knight cough every game is better than origens cough
mabey they should improve there bullshit, not fix it
I only recently learned about Disney giving Dice such a short window to create BF. Knowing that, they actually did a damn good job for the situation. Thrilled to see how it'll be when they have reasonable time to produce the new one.
#DontPreOrder
Lmfao
An Order 66 mode would be fantastic.
2 ways it could work:
You're an elite commando in the 501st.
If there was an ending, it could be you finally stealing a fighter
(Which could Segway into Order 66 space mode).
what about multi galactic conquest
packersuck18 I'd be interested to see how an online galactic conquest would work. I feel like it would be a lot of fun and add a lot more meaning to each round but would be hard to pull off in way that people felt they were able to jump in and out of the conquest they've put hours into
I would like to just have it with a friend or 2
War thunder pulls this off with a "ongoing confrontation" mode.
Its basically a game server that runs for a week. People join, spawn in as their choice of airplane/tank/team, and fight for the objectives like they normally do.
They can choose to leave after they die (I believe there is a penalty for leaving early) and the game will go on without them
Came here thinking you were talking about the actual LucasArts Battlefront II. Who doesn't love the Campaign from the 2005 game?
This game HAS to come out for the Switch!!!
nate daowgg nice joke
Nothing should ever come out for the Switch. Especially if they are designed to work with the Hobbit controllers.
looks pretty cool. definetly getting closer to the way battlefront actually was not just battlefeild plus starwars
I think it may have given a minimal amount of currency for weapon unlocks, but again, it was so small and you only got it once aaaand no one gives a fuck about that, we want *XP* and I can't stress it enough, YOU ONLY GOT IT ONCE so there's 0% replayability
Another problem that applies to both Battlefront and Battlefield 1, they focused completely on making the experience cinematic and immersive, which is great if you're one of those basic bitches that actually have lives and just play for an hour a week... but then you got the people who are actually going to be playing 8 hours a day every day, and they are going to be over 90% of the people that buy the game. But the rest of us want an all day substantial competitive session,
Ricky Bronze Halo was a simpler time before halo 5
I payed 60 bucks for a shit game with 4 maps!!
I'm not going to give those bastards ANY MONEY, even if they give us the best game on earth!!!!
whitepre i got it for 3.75 with all dlc off xbox store fuck yourself
I bought it for 30 around its release with season pass.
whitepre I know how, you're game dealing friends in the playground.
i got it for free with the origin vault. based on everything ive seen im glad i waited until it was free
PRIMEVAL543 its so goood
'Giving even bad players the chance to play as the heroes'. Now if I recall correctly (and I'm damned sure I do), Battlefront 2 allowed the online host to choose if there was heroes and how they were dolled out. You could choose one of three options. The best player gets it, the worst player gets it or it was completely random.
I also like them not referring to Battlefront 2 as a campaign where you played the baddies. Battlefront 2 (2017) says it's going to start bad and then go good. BF2 started you off as the good clones and eventually become Vader's personal battle group.
It will still be garbage compared to the originals.
Alex Erickson u living in the past
Will it be so that you can play a hero for as long as you have health? I love how BF 2015 encourages you to play cautiously to stay alive for as long as possible when you finally get that hero pick-up.
I just want a game that worked the same as the two originals:
-a list of maps to play on from both eras
-command posts
-playing the maps offline with two teamsof NPCs going at it with you
-galactic conquest
Throw in a multitude of heroes and maybe a decent campaign, and perhaps we may have something resembling a battlefront game.
So, everyone remembers the mode on Mos Eisly in battlefront II (2005) where everyone was a hero/villian and no troopers or droids or rebels, WHY CANT THAT BE A GAME MODE EVER????
Trent Rolle they added that mode in the game.
Here's 3 things I want to see in this game
1: Operations or something similar to operations.
SWBF2 was able to do that and I honestly think that was still way ahead of its time
Singleplayer content is the main reason I ignored the last game, but will be buying this one!
Dammit, Oxbox! How dare you get me hyped for this game?! After the last one, I swore that I'd keep my expectations really low for all upcoming EA games...
Microtransactions in $60 game... really fixes that LOL
P2W Microtransactions*
I hope the console flight controls are more in line with Battlefield. It just feels a lot more natural than what they had in the first game.
What am I hoping to see? Those Lightsaber Tonfas again. Maybe Lightsaber Nunchucks. Or a Lightsaber Mach-3 for the smoothest shave.
"angry 5' 10 ladybird Darth Maul".
Dude, that was genius.
I wish they made 2 story modes (unlikely) but think about it. Depending on which side you choose, then you play THEIR justified story. You could also include galactic battles, where, depending at which side you wanted (not which campaign you played) you could fight for systems in multiplayer while representing you faction.
all I need is "WATCH THOSE WRIST ROCKETS" and my life will be complete
Dice: "Sorry about that last time through. Here's a fresh coat of paint on the original Battlefront."
Sounds like someone in the Outside team is a Star Wars: TIE Fighter fan.
Also, those Inferno Squad uniforms are aesthetic as hell.
I miss getting blasted 20 feet in the air by an explosion and still getting up to fight. One of the coolest things about the original battlefront.
Genius idea: Make a VR experience of the bridge of one of those capital ships they mentioned. Put real humans on all of the ships, instead of just the fighters.
I miss the solo/local multiplayer instant action where you could choose the maps and game modes.
"official star wars canon"
yeah I've heard that before.
In the panel, they pretty much confirmed that the main character won't defect. The "redemption" part is avenging the emperor.
Jane is hoarding everyone's Christmas bonuses.
I would love to see galactic conquest make a comeback, that was probably my favorite game type of the original Star Wars battlefront 2
The second they said "Single Player Campaign," I knew this was gonna be as good as the older Battlefronts.
I really want another jedi academy style game! Thats all I want. Is that too much to ask?
BF2 looks sick.
If you can command a capital ship in space battles, that would make my day.
I'm not so sure about the "redemption" part for the story mode. I could be wrong, but I think they meant redemption as in the Empire/First Order reclaiming its honor after losing the war, as opposed to one character switching sides.
Classes, Aiming, Parked Vehicles, and the ability to go prone! That's all I want!
Love to see them add content from the animated star wars series The clone wars and Rebels.
As someone who hasn't yet got 2015 Battlefront, do you think it'll be worth skipping that and waiting for II?
BTW I want Grievous and Ahsoka for the game!
