I don't go super complex with workflows BUT making simple workflows to open and set up processes that you normally go through constantly can be super helpful. Thanks for the video! I don't know if I'd consider myself a power user but I use Alfred a lot every day. I think what's great about the power pack is that there are so many pre-made workflows that you can suit them to your workflow. For example, my work requires using different browsers, so I have a workflow in alfred that allows me to set the system default browser and easily toggle between them. Then when I use Alfred to open my browser bookmarks, It will automatically open it in the browser of choice. I think the key takeaway for Alfred is that you get to find the workflows that best fit for your needs. The potential is almost endless.
Hi @Jeff , amazing vid right here, I'm already in love with this wonderful timesaver app ! Just in case you didn't know about the snippets I use a snippet thingy already built-in on apple devices : keyboard replacements. This a sort of native snippets features that alfred gives us, but basicly on mac, iphone and ipad etc.. (synchronise throughout the devices you have). I find it great cause i'm able to have some shortcuts like /{your snippet} that gives my phone number, email signature, driver license number or whatever you find useful and usable often ! Settings -> Keyboard -> Replacements
Hi Emile, thanks for sharing! So I tried the default text replacement feature but I can't get it working on non-Mac native apps. Is that the same for you as well?
@@JeffSu yeah that’s the only thing that is annoying with this. @@JeffSu yea but Pro tip. You are now even more productive.
I will try it again. I felt really overwhelmed with so much stuff...
I need to ask, how many times you empy trash every day?
Portugal rules btw 🇵🇹
At least 10X a day. Hahahhaa Portugal is awesome, I want to visit sometime 😂
I like using both spotlight and alfred so I use a hot key of Option+A
Nice!
Thanks for the video
You're welcome Sunil!
I always refer back to this video when setting up Alfred on any computer. Side question: do you use Alfreds calculator or do you have specific app?
I rarely use the calculator app in general 😅
Great video, thanks!
Glad to hear it! Do you use Alfred?
@@JeffSu Actually no, I've tried it before but stuck with spotlight, however I'm reconsidering it now after watching your video.
“Amazingly popular” “No-bullsh***” “Super Practical” 😄 Actually, that isn’t a joke. Your videos are extremely helpful. Thank you!
Wait...who said those were jokes 😏
Your last 3 videos are all for Mac users, can we have something else please🥰
Yes! The one next week won't be mac related 😂
Great video
Thanks!
Hi Jeff, you are better than Ali now ;)
Hahahaha thank you Jean-Patrice 😂
very thnaks!!!!
You're very welcome 😁
Btw to clear trash you can just do command shift delete so it’s even faster but yeah I love alfred
Interesting! But that shortcut only works when you're in...finder right? Not when you're in Chrome?
This is fire 🔥🔥🔥
3 fire emojis? Dam this video must have been good 😁
@@JeffSu yup
Yes, Jeff, you are better than Ali Abdaal.
TRUEEEEEE 😁
Switched to Alfred just yesterday and am loving it! I dunno if there's a setting for this tho, but when you search for something on Finder, how do you make Alfred open in the Finder window you have right now, and not in a new Finder window?
What did you switch from?
And regarding your question, I think it has to do with your finder settings (for example open new window in tab) instead of a new window or something
@@JeffSu switched from spotlight search :) Thanks for the answer!
Raycast! Raycast! We want a Raycast video!
Probably won't be doing one anytime soon 😅
Hi Jeff! I love LOVE your videos.
I want to know more about the organizer that you use in the background for your tools!
do you have an amazon list for those?/
Thanks in advance!
Wait which ones?
Amazing
Thank you!!
awesome thanks.
You're very welcome Jun 😁
