- deino is much more fun to play than I thought on gateway. at least by now. we still have to see on the long run. at the moment we had a great time tho. even if we had some troubles with the map, too :/ anyway, we had nice encounters and made somebody rage quit XD

i managed to get out of the death trap by going to the surface, then lunge over
nice, but, there was no surface. I could only spin at the same spot. not up, not down, nothing. just spin. I even tried to lunge several times :/
THE GATEWAY IS GORGEOUS!!!!! I love that some lake and river bottoms are covered with vegetation and there are even trunks!!!!! thank you so much for the adventure with the deino my friend ❤️❤️❤️❤️
thx mate ♥ yeah, I also enjoy gateway a lot. it's such a beauty with so many little details and like you said, finally the rivers aren't that empty anymore and have some grass and logs around

it's really weird. there wasn't a single fish around. not even a little one :/
I also got stuck and lost a deino at that spot at 7:20 :') Glad to see you got out! I wasn't able to rise up like you were. That little lake you ended up in was so pretty! Looks like a lovely spot to hang out in if there was enough food. I've personally never been to that lake though! I think ai dinos should drink periodically to give deinos a chance to get them.
these waterfalls are tricky. yeah, that lake is very nice. I also guess you will find prey to ambush there. but, more like it was in the east river around the northeast nesting area. every now and then, but, not on a regular base. the good thing is, the river is pretty close and there are some fish. the lake itself didn't offer a single fish. but, I guess it's a nice place as juvie and early sub. to chill and hope for prey. worst case you can go back to the river anytime drinking would be nice, but, I love that they cross at least. the area where I got that teno was full of them. I could have easily caught 5-6 there. I was pretty surprised
Yeah, I love that lagoon you hung out in around 9 minutes in, it's a good breather when you're travelling from south lake to water access or vice versa, but it sucks because no dino drinks there and no fish spawn, despite it being a perfect place for young deinos to grow: It could do with a migration zone spawning there, perhaps in the plains next to it
it's a really lovely place. personally I already drunk about 2-3 times with other dinos there. before I spotted it with ptera, I thought that lake is far off everything to be honest. so, I was hoping others feel the same and that you will get prey there. at least every now and then. but, maybe not

deino macht weit mehr spaß auf gateway als ich dachte. ich glaube zwar immer noch dass es zu viele sichere drink spots gibt und es auf lange sicht schwer wird jemanden zu erwischen, aber derweilen macht die map richtig laune

How is deino in Gateway cannibalism wise? Im still scared terribly... Literally the only fear as a deino is another deino (at least on Isla Spiro)
thx mate ♥ by now I didn't have much problems with cannibals. but, the first time was on the test server when everyone was like, oh, new map, awesome. other deino? pff, look, there is a rainbow the second time I was mostly in the rivers. didn't meet much others. the few I met were friendly. but, there are for sure some carnis around. the rivers are very nice to hide or get out of their way tho. even better if you are a small deino. they see much better (more far) beneath water and so you can spot them before they can spot you
That dino really did just give up on life after you grabbed them

The first fight was a Desaster, always attack together like the last dude wasnt even helping
always attack together? what a nonsense ^^ did you ever play solo deino? because this sounds very much like the typical groups on comms "wisdom". but, that doesn't work as a solo player. 'cause it always depends on the situation
they nested. I arrived 2 minutes before the stego. told them to kill me 'cause I have to play another deino. they were friendly mates tho and didn't immediately kill me. specially 'cause there were two more big deinos in the water and nobody knew if they are friendly or not. then the stego arrived. they had no intention fight it. I still wanted to die. so I fought with the spirit of someone who wants to die. the other two just entered the fight 'cause I didn't run away. so pls, mr. desaster, tell me how you will coordinate such an attack in that situation with chat only within 2 seconds? I am curious

Atacking a atego in a Group is also not something u need coordination for, u just go all in cuz the stego will be overwhelmed Especially if u go from both sides wich is just logical and shouldnt be so hard to understand

Its about the fact that they saw u fight the stego, if u died or not didnt matter but u still did damage on it and cause a distraction, the perfect opportunity for the 2 to finish it off while u distracted it to ensure their and their Nests safety, but no one of them Was too stupid to realize that and thats why this fight was a Desaster , as i said u dont need much intelligence or skill to see this opportunity so how come this dude didnt see it 💀

'cause if thinking different means idiot, then it goes in both directions.
that didn't even have anything to do with guts in my opinion. let's say these two go all in, too. the stego is dead, both are victorious but down to half of their health. there were two more big deinos in the lake. two who didn't chat. so, if these two attack them after the stego, then they would've been in big trouble. therefore I understand very well if someone thinks, nope, this suicide guy is none of my business. specially 'cause the deino world isn't a happy place where all deinos are united to fight others. not at all. if you main deino, then you should know better.
attacking a stego is one of the most stupid things you can do in this game anyway. personally I attack stegos just for fun. but, every stego can retreat anytime. so, to win such a fight you have to meet a stego player who doesn't care to die or a very new stego player. the other 90% will just run away at some point. leave you back with half of your health and no prey. so, other than having fun, it makes no sense to go for them. therefore, just do it is everything but logical thinking.
you made a good point with the nest tho. yeah, they kind of had to defend it anyway. but still, it's their business. they are neither idiots nor gutless. they just didn't expect me staying there. before they even recognized what happens, I was already dead.

yeah, somebody told me he stuck at the same place I was stuck as stego in the swamp. so, it doesn't look like they did a lot of map fixing in general :/

how in the world....do you manage to find all these bugged spots, I've been up and down that river over 30 times now and never come across or even seen those spots.....also you can safely get down every waterfall as a juvi, you wont break your leg or anything. Also, you probably know this but you have to hold down the lunge button to not let go of prey when you lunge them.
I have a "talent" to find those spots. even if there is only one spot on the map, then you can be pretty sure I will get stuck in there thx for the info about the waterfalls ♥ I didn't think you can get down at the two bigger ones, so, good to know
@da.mombie yeah they look intimidating, just take it slow going down em and you should be good, also any size above juvi you will die lol, so you can only do it when your around fresh spawn size.

they removed the AI tenos with the recent update :( it was on an official EU server

@@robo30000 as far as I know they changed the whole AI mechanics. it doesn't spawn on certain areas anymore. it spawns around players at a certain point of the hunger/food status. that's why it spawns more often as more players are together.
but, somehow I think it is bugged. 'cause
in busy areas like the northeast-, east- and south plains spawns quiet a lot AI. even if I was alone there. in outside areas like the river delta I didn't find any AI tho. no matter what my food status was.
therefore I guess the new system is buggy right now and has to be further adapted. can't say for sure tho.

one of my parents said it is a known bug. I never encountered it before. but, I also got barely nested as deino, so, dunno :/
it is not a bug. if you nest with perfect diet sometimes one or two eggs get boost (perfect diet on hatch) so thats why they a little bigger. same if you nest with bad diet eggs may come out rotten so you will have to remove them.@@da.mombie
@@chaoticevil4038 I think it is a visual bug tho. my growth was 3%. I was way too big for 3%. that was the size you have if you spawn without an egg. so, even if you get the perfect diet boost, that was way too much imo

I had to play another dino. that's why I offered the other deinos to kill me. which I mentioned in the bubbles and you can also read in the chat. now to the situation itself. I saw the stego coming and thought, perfect, it will kill me. when it was closer I was like, well, I can at least fight back. then I even wanted to go for the head (which you can see pretty well in the video), but, another deino came from that direction. so, I can either be a selfish clown and don't mind the other deino and keep going for the head while risking to hit the other too, or I try to get as much hits as possible from the side and tank more hits while the other attacks the head. 'cause again, my aim wasn't to survive anyway

The stamina for the Ptera blows really hard. It's barely playable. Definitely not enjoyable to be spending all your time resting.
