- we had a very nice time growing this stego. I really love to raise stegos. we had many funny, lovely and also exciting encounters and found a very special, even if also a little weird friend in the end :)

I appreciate the way you play, I tend to be the same way. Not Killing other players unless in self-defence or hunger and giving mercy to small Dino's/juvies. It makes for a more interesting narrative and cute moments. ❤
I couldn't agree more with your last sentence. no matter what happens in a situation with a little juvie, every interaction is more enjoyable than pushing a button and it's dead. to kill someone in an equal battle is satisfying. to kill someone as underdog is very satisfying. but, to just push a button vs someone who can't do anything about it is boring. so, even a 2call is more entertaining to me. mostly you get more than "just" a 2call and sometimes even an unforgettable moment
@@da.mombie It's always mildly infuriating when a large Dino kills you as something small that stands no chance and/or will give them 0.01% hunger 😅 Although as long as the person is playing fairly (not hacking and preferably not mixpacking) then I'm fine with taking the loss.

Lmao the crocs head turned so fast like wtf happened?! The map really feels so lonely with the new update. If you explore at all as a carnivore you just starve. Darn it. Let me enjoy the map. XD
it was such a nice mate but yeah, the map/system is bad right now. the migrations zones are way too much focused (and too long) at the same point. 80% of the players are within 3 areas ^^ I like the idea of the migration zones, by now tho, they are just bad and/or don't work properly :/

I am already used to the new stam. it has to be further adapted in some areas of some species, but in general I even prefer it to the old stam. specially with stego it's so much better

The last time I raised a stego was at the end of last December. Unfortunately, it's true that once it's fully grown, there's hardly any challenge. And migration is not exactly diverse either. Most of the time it's either the Swamp or the Highlands. Rarely Jungle I Sector or a bit south of it.
I hate nights because I can't see anything. But the daylight conditions are also sometimes bad. Maybe one day they will improve these too.
stego is so boring to play at night. watching a black screen for 15 minutes straight ^^ yeah, let's hope they brighten that up. specially during the day. the lighting is nothing but ridiculous right now

Finally a strgo player who doesnt kill evry corc on land for no reason and stego player that doesnt play stego just bc its the strongest❤
I love stego, but, I don't like to fight weaker opponents. in general I don't enjoy the kill, I enjoy the challenge of the fight. so, there are only a few fights I really enjoy as stego. I liked the one vs the two adult ceras. I was at about 1.5-1.8 tons and so they had a "fair" chance imo

thx ♥ stego hasn't much to fear, so, you can play it quite relaxed in my opinion
only played stego once, didn't really like it. Growth time was to be expected, but the only thing that was willing to take me on after a certain point was a mega pack of raptor that immediately backed off when some other stegos arrived. couldn't make it past four hours before i let the raptors eat me just to start again as something else. Otherwise, it was just a constant rotation to a nearby water source then back to the migration zone for food.
that's what I like on the isle. each dino feels different to play. stego is way more relaxed as adult. it can be fun to help little ones to grow and trying to protect them in battle is probably the most challenging gameplay as stego. but, if you want some action without having to care about hitting friendlies nearby, then it gets bad. 'cause as you said, nobody attacks you. even if they do, then they are barely a challenge. from a competitive point of view the most boring around. by far.
that's why I love to grow them. after about 20 minutes you can fight an omni and probably even a solo dilo. after an hour you can fight small packs and even a carno or cera. they also attack you, 'cause you are little and you can die in those battles, too. it's also more frightening, 'cause if you have "only" one ton and two cera or carno come by, then you can't escape. you have no chance than fight until death even more, the first two hours stego has a lot of stam and is quite mobile on the map. they are almost like a kentro until a certain stage of growth

Honestly, i don't get why everyone hordes all 3 diets in one, it only gives 50% boost to growth. I'm much better off with 2 dots/one line, since it gives 15% stamina regen AND less running cost, and also 7% more NV/Scent range!
I may have lied! it's 10% more nv/scent.

thx mate ♥ as more often you die as more relaxed you get about it. you see how relaxed I am (about dying), so, you can imagine how often I had to die that said, I am still nervous in fights, too. even more since I do videos. I want to do good and perform well, which I mostly don't do anyway, but, I am still nervous

in my opinion it doesn't matter what species. there will be always those players. if there was no stego, then they would play the next strongest. if trike gets stronger, then they will play trike. if rex destroys everything, then they will play rex. well, probably not, 'cause rex will hopefully be tough to grow and these players don't like that. they want easy growing and being superior ^^

@@potatogamerkid2356 honestly, I never understood why deino has that less biteforce. they were talking about balance in the actual rooster, but that is nonsense.
deino can "oneshot" EVERY dino by grabbing. so, it doesn't matter if it has 500 or 1000 biteforce.
the only exception is stego and vs stego deinos biteforce was/is too weak anyway. so, why not at least 700 or 800? I would even say 1000 would have been still nicely balanced in the actual rooster.

they will. it's called the elder system or so. you can become elder. which is kind of superior (to adults) for a certain time. if you manage to survive until you die of old age, then you'll get a bonus for your next life

@@FogandRain227 they get a special "form" as far as I know. like teno's mini spikes on the back get slightly bigger or so. nothing too crazy, but noticeable as much as I saw of drawings so far.
scars is something I liked in PoT. where you actually get scars after fights at places you have been wounded. just for elder could become weird. what if I hadn't a single fight in my life?
edit: on the other hand you could combine elder with a fight. like you don't get elder before you had a fight and got wounded or something.

That is why I don't play stego, only time it is fun is when your small, when you get to adult it is mega boring. The Isle needs more stego players like you Mombie 💜
thx ♥ most and foremost stego needs an enemy. I don't get it why deino has such a low bite force. give them 1000 instead of the 500 and every stego will be careful at the waters. or let omnis jump off more far after the pounce. or let stegos lose 70% of the stam after vomiting 'cause of cera. so many ways to integrate them in proper fights and yet it seems like they want it to be in it's own league :/
@@da.mombie yeah I don't understand the stego bias vibe I'm getting from the dev team, they def should do some of those changes you suggested or all of them. Stego seems to be in odd place as long as it has no real enemies in the game.
@@Laacer as far as I know it will become even stronger, but also removed to the unofficial servers with rex and trike soon.
another point I don't understand. they say rex/trike will be too strong for the actual rooster. well, stego WAS too strong for the last two years as well. who cares? I rather have rex, trike and stego in the game, even if they are too strong.
the balance in such games is overrated anyway. a solo player vs a team of 3-4 on comms. a new player vs a 2000 hours player. a juvie vs an adult. what's the balance there?

how do you keep your ping at 30? mine usually stays there but spikes to like 150-200 anytime im at a decent spot
your ping spikes? that's weird. sry, don't know. on the actual horde test I have above 100 ping, but, on the officials I have 30-40 since gateway. that said, on the horde test with 100 ping I have no rubber banding and on the officials with 30 ping I have a lot. their server are strange in many ways :/

Nice video. Though NV for these bumbling beasties looks horrible. Like I said in a previous video, it's almost as though the Devs _(i.e. Dondi. The Rex Lover!)_ do not want some of the larger beasts that could/would take on the Rex to have a seriously hard diet in order to get good NV and be able to keep it. You really need *2 x "//"* and both lit up to see what's happening at night around you.

If you have an Nvidia GPU, then open it's control panel and change the Gamma from +1.0 to +1.5. OK! So it makes the scenery a bit more washed out, but at least you _CAN_ see what's around you at night and during the day. _Sometimes!_
But I've not grown a Stego for ages. Certainly not on _Gateway._ And being a Deino aficionado, they are my nemesis. So, for me, it's hard to play one.
I don't know if it is 'cause of rex or 'cause they want this horror feeling, but, to me both are nonsense. you make such a pretty game and then 70% of the time I can't even see my skin. 'cause NV makes it greyish and I have to use NV 16 hours a day ^^ for about 20% of the day I see almost nothing at all. just a black screen! so, I have 30% beauty, 20% nothing at all and 50% greyish retro graphics. that's such a waste of all the nice animations they put so much effort in. I don't get it. this isn't and never will be a horror game. but even if, horror doesn't come from darkness. there are hundreds of ways to make a game spooky. a black screen is the worst of these 100. anyway, maybe it's just me hating to watch black screens
I have nvidia, but thx, to me it's like cheating to change the gamma. I did this in dayz for some hours once. but set it back pretty quickly. it was such an unfair advantage, so, it didn't feel good to play with it :/
@@da.mombie Not really cheating. Even if I'm a Deino on a river, most times if I've not got the *//* diet, I still can't see the banks. But it'll help out with the video's you post.

not yet, I just died by starving there. but, it will come later in the game. probably with the elder system. as far as I know you will get a bonus for you next life, if you manage to survive until you die of old age
You have to much patience for lil carnis getting to close. Idk why you let that lil one bite u so much smack him back to respawn from the get go next time.
I was amused and impressed by the courage. it was no danger anyway and a immediate swing would have been game over within a second. well, it didn't last much longer, but, at least I had a fun situation and even puked all over it

I loved legacy back in the days, but, I couldn't play it anymore at the end. the lighting bug drove me crazy and in general, it's pretty much out of date. so, I hope you will get another laptop to play evrima someday soon 🤗
