- we got an egg and had a lovely family at a very nice nesting place. our parents took good care and we had plenty of siblings. AI seems to spawn more often again and at the end we tried to break a record XD

I didn’t think I’d enjoy playing as Herrera until a sub adult Cerato laid in a bush directly beneath me and I jumped on him and killed him. I couldn’t tell exactly where his head was I just saw him run into the bush and heard him lay down. He must have been injured already for me to end him in one hit. Man it was satisfying.
I love herra 'cause of many things. but, specially the ambush ability is very nice. it's like a land deino with better bait potential. 'cause a bait near the river is always sus, meanwhile a bait in the middle of the woods isn't as sus
I love how you climbing the tower towards the other adults felt like a coming of age moment for your little hera :)

Herrera is a great add to the game cause it’s an ambush predator that isn’t the top of the food chain. Before we only had Deino, who’s main strat is ambush but is also unkillable vs most opponents- so the stakes aren’t usually as high. Adds a lot of depth to the game!
I also think and enjoy that it feels like deino in terms of hunting. just more mobile and smaller prey the bait and ambush feeling is pretty the same tho the climbing also offers a new little "world" inside the trees. which will also benefit other species later on. beside the usual bugs, I really like that update.
Herrera has become one of my favorites as well, its climbing and fall are refreshing. It's a gaming style i know many of us will enjoy. Thank you for yet another awesome cute vid mombie.

yeah, I like that they build up on abilities of others. specially when it fits so well like with that dive jump

thx mate ♥ yeah, it looks like AI is pretty well spread again. that said, I was looking for fish for 30 minutes straight as ptera yesterday anyway, it's for sure much better than after the herra release nice to hear, looking forward to another isle video of you
@@da.mombie I have not bought the game yet but ive seen reviews on steam saying that all you can do is run around for an hour and starve Do you think i should buy the game?
@@Zav1for1 it depends very much of what type of player you are. the isle is a sandbox game with no story line. all you can do is eat, drink and survive. with every death you lose everything. many people don't like that. they want quests, progress and to level up. none of these features are in this game. the fun comes by the interaction with others. that said, new player often suffer quiet a while. the game doesn't offer any tutorial or much help. which is something I liked a lot. as it is more frightening at the start on the other hand, many players within a pack, herd or specially when you get an egg are very friendly and help others to get into the game.
anyway, it's also still an alpha, has many bugs and will be in development for at least another 2-3 years, probably even more.
so, be aware of all of this. but, if you don't mind bugs, love dinos and like sandbox games, then a big yes. I can highly recommend it. no other dino game offers teh immersion of the isle. the animations, the surroundings, the unique gameplay each dinos offers and the mood which comes up by the threat of possible death anytime is second to none by now
This video was truly amazing oh loved everything about it!!!!! your parents had chosen a beautiful area, it's really safe to make a nest and then it was a splendid playground for you and your brothers😁😁😁😃😃😃 and I was sorry that your ambush on the devil went badly😢😢 😢 but it happens that predators don't always kill their prey😉😉😉 now I'm too happy that in the next one the ptera will return❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

thx a lot ♥ yeah, me parents nested at a very nice area. so fun to mess around in there as babu. in general I had a lovely family hopefully. I played 3 hours ptera yesterday and wanted to nest. was female and only found one other ptera and of course it was a female. but, I will try today again. wish me luck to find someone

yeah, I love them too. still, beipi and hypsi are the smallest. I still wonder which of them is the most tiny of all
Btw, you don't have to jump to latch on to things. You can just hold rmb and walk up to things. Saves so much stam. Also, if you right-click while running, your jumping range will be way further than when you are standing. Very useful for so many situations.
P.S.: I hope they "fix" the AI by reducing it spawn rates back to reasonable amounts. My herra always stays well fed with all the AI and it is kinda boring. I even start making friends with dilos and trods...

At the NE as a *_Treelizard,_* I'd killed a boar. Went to the water to get a very quick drink and by the time I'd come back, compys had already eaten the thing!! 8-((...
But you're dead right about *_Treelizards_* being fun. I'd go so far to say they're bloody awesome. Deino had always been my *#1,* go to dinosaur, but I think that the *_Treelizards_* possibly taken top spot now.
What would be great if Troodons had the ability to climb too. Imagine a group of Troodons and *_Treelizards_* fighting for the right to claim the largest tree in that area.

EDIT - The one problem I have with the *_Treelizard_* right now is everytime I try to eat off a dead body, I can't. *I have to chunk the food. Bite by bite!* I can't eat directly off it or my game will crash! 8-((...
Oh! And it doesn't happen with _ANY_ other animal for me. So it means that eating for my *_Treelizard,_* takes a long time right now!
honestly, it even feels a little like deino. just more mobile and more fun options (like climbing and jumping from tree to tree). but, in terms of hunting you bait and ambush, you have to be patient, it isn't like a huge fight, more like a right move at the right time kind of thing, so, they aren't the same like 1:1, not at all, but, have some similarities at least
jeez, that bug sounds bad. I hope it will be fixed soon :/
in terms of the tree fights. I had that in mind with dryo vs little predators in the burrows. the tree thing sounds great, too. BUT, the devs mentioned something pretty important and I am with them. if you make the burrow fights very enjoyable and 20-30 players playing down there, then you will miss them on the map. almost the same for trees. if 20 player are down in burrows, 20 are up in the trees, 20 in the water, then we'll have only 40 on land all over the map. so, I love your idea as well as I love the burrow fight idea, but, we would need 300-500 players for that to work out properly at the end
@@da.mombie Go back to Legacy and juvi Utahs could go into a Dryo burrow. But never do a grow in a burrow. You'd get stuck. And never log out as a Dryo in a burrow or you'd crash the server.
With regards so the Herrera's eating glitch. Some get it. Some don't. It's the same with the Deino's underwater laid vision. Some, like defeatpete _(See his last Deino video.)_ can see really well. Others, like me, can barely see past 1/2 the way down my Deino's body.
So whether it gets fixed or not. Who knows?
But I'll be back in the trees later 8-))...
@@thezanzibarbarian5729 I played Legacy and loved the burrow, but, it wasn't well designed. it had only one exit (which could be easily camped and to fight in there was, well, let's say not very satisfying

This ia the first time i have seen someone spawn into the world from a nest a be in a on eof those out post and i have seen a lot of the isle
kind of crazy isn't it? specially if you think how much fun these places are for babus. on the other hand, they aren't very close to water. herra can climb up there, but, an adult omni probably needs all of it's stam to run down and up again :/

Maybe You know, maybe don't, but u can hold shift/ctrl while climbing - this is useful if you are jumping on dilo and his whole group want to kill u 😂
thx for the hint ♥ shift is to climb faster and ctrl to slide down, right? or is there even more which I missed?

@@michaszlo1997 I figured out to climb fast in my first herra video. then a mate in the comments told me that we can slide with ctrl, so, I did it in the second video. honestly, I didn't even notice that neither of it was in the 3rd now still thx tho. better knowing something twice then missing one or so

Welcher Dino ist eigentlich ganz gut für Anfänger geeignet?
die kleinen sind am besten zum einsteigen. die wachsen schnell, sind nicht so frustrierend wenn man stirbt. zudem sind herbs leichter für den start. man bekommt sein futter angezeigt und galli oder dryo queren die map sehr flott. was schön zum erkunden ist. als anfangs carni würd ich eh herra empfehlen. dank fisch und fröschen leicht am leben zu halten und kann fast überall einen sicheren platz für einen rückzug finden (baum., klippe). zudem kann man auch ohne viel risiko und skills seine erste beute erlegen

its been a long time since i saw these video alot had changed in the isle
welcome back then ♥ yeah, if you play regular, then it always feels like the development goes so slow. updates, new dinos and so on. but, when I get a commentary on a update 3 video and watch a little of that video, then I also think the game made a lot of progress since back then but, it's still a long way to go
