Vision Vents are some great folks that stand by their products. I ordered a set and contacted them about a possible fitment issue. They immediately sent me a new pair. The look great and help the windshield from getting so foggy. 👍
That's funny, because recently it stopped beeping all on its own and I was thinking, what's wrong with it now? I love how my 97 Boxster project car self-heals more often than not. Thanks for your vids!
Double. It's a new-to-me project car and I'd assumed the double beep was to tell me that the alarm was activated. But now it's not beeping and apparently is actually working so the joke is on me.
nice. all you vid are so helpful and easy to understand. i have a 2000 986 and the interior lights wont turn off completely. do you have any vids on that? or maybe guide me in the right direction?
Hey bro I'm in NC and having issues with my door not locking when I hit the lock button, how much you charge to activate functions with your piwis? Or do a diagnostic I know somethings aren't activated
+Peanut Man hey man! I’ve never had that issue so I’m not sure. I don’t charge people or attempt to do work on their cars, especially if it’s something I’ve never done myself. If you know how to do it you’re welcome to use the PIWIS yourself to do it but I can’t take any responsibility for anything that might go wrong 😁
@@HelpMeDIY I brought this car from auction its a 987.1 we put a 2008 cayman engine in it....darn replacement engine cost $5000 which I didn't expect...but I definitely need to use your piwis.....what part of NC are you?
I have a 2005 Boxster Base, and wanted to buy a PIWIS III, but I don't have any formal training. Is the PIWIS easy enough for someone work, assuming good dedication to instructions?
Well done video, good information when and if I have the same issue with my car. Will you do a video on how to add an additional key/remote to your porsche. My local shop wants $450 to add an additional key/remote( ouch )
PIWIS will work on a 986? Will it program key fobs (assuming you have the right codes)? In searching the Internet it looks like there is a Wi-Fi version of PIWIS too. Know anything about it?
so I have a 1999 986 Boxster 2.5 Liter with code 60 Central locking limit position Lock not reached what does this mean and how do I fix it and does it effect how the key fob remote communicates with the immobilizer when pressing the buttons on the remote they don’t lock or unlock the car or pop the trunk
I am having a double beep and it’s accompanied with the issue of my windows stuck up. They don’t come down. lam afraid my issue was the result of water going inside the car but can’t confirm that. Any help is appreciated.
@@HelpMeDIY Do you think these cars are safe trying the disconnect of the battery cables for a few minutes trick to see if hopefully things go back to normal? 2001 Boxster here. BTW I understand this is NOT a professional advisor I’m reaching out here. Not responsibility involved.
I'd actually rather have my Boxster to beep (once or twice) when I lock it with the Fob. When its silent, there's no real feedback that its locked when you press the key..
That’s what I was hoping this video was about when I saw the title. I too hope there is a way to enable audio beeps when locking/unlocking with the key fob.
+Jeremy Pringle I don’t think there is. Which personally I hate and I have disabled it on other cars. I prefer to see the lights flash as it’s less annoying, especially late at night.
Just found that cable unplugged in my car as well. I SURE hope that solves my beep beep problem. It sure was hard to plug back in. I had to remove the other two cables and then I noticed the connection is at a slight angle before I could get it back in. I had bent the connector pins trying to get it in as well. Thanks!
That was a big bump! I mentally thought "I'd use some electrical tape or something on that light", glad to see it worked out!
+Jacob L. 😂
I am amazed that you are able to figure all of this out.
Haha Google is powerful!

+Jennifer Hawks was yours a single beep or double? Big difference
Double. It's a new-to-me project car and I'd assumed the double beep was to tell me that the alarm was activated. But now it's not beeping and apparently is actually working so the joke is on me.

@@HelpMeDIY for now.
Great videos and this resolved my alarm double beep as my cable had come loose too👍
+Chris Walker nice! 🍻
Repealing that lamp with an LED looks awesome! Did the same in mine.
+Zachery Friend 👍
Thanks, this is happening with my 986 S, I'll follow your instructions and see if my wire is loose also.
+otter25702 you could get lucky or you may need to buy a new one.

Well done again mate!

Is there a way to disable the beep It’s starting to go off when I’m driving
+Cameron Reid not that I’m aware of 🤷♂️
What does one beep mean when locking? Alarm light on dash does a double flash
never mind -saw your other video.
Would this also cause the windows to not go down ?
+ZACK 757 probably not. If you mean when you open the door, that sensor is in the door handle.
Door beeps twice after turning off engine and opening drivers side door?
+frank farr 🤔 I have heard of a double beep after unlocking but not sure if that’s the same. Maybe someone else can chime in with knowledge on this?
I have the opposite problem...when I lock it no beeping but when I unlock it double beeps but not all the time!

ps. That cabin sensor cable is several mm too short. Lots of P cars do this exact thing. Come on Porsche, do better.
