I’m 53 now but I can still remember John coming over to our house he was a friend of the family.
Love this song back in the day and I sill love it today and I’m 54
I knew John in the late 80's, I met him when he worked at Suttons Arncliffe. We use to go for a drink every Friday afternoon at Moorefield Bowling Club at Kogarah.
I can still remember one year he sang at Carols and when he returned home his home had been broken into. How sad
Oh my brings back alot of memories for me.. Rhonda from Australia
I wish John could know how many people are listening to him in 2020!

I sang this song to my little girl every day. 29 years later we both sing this song. It makes my heart sing. Thank you John.
You are always with me,our journey together Johnny is something never forgotten, I will never forget that I was the last person you sang to when I came back to Australia to visit you from Canada, before you left us to go sing with the Angel's.Thank you Lindsey Morrison for making this happen.❤

john was introduced to me at a gig in Balmain his manager was trying to find him a band so he could come back under his real name , i did several rehearsals in sutherland at the town hall or community centre with him but sadly the management team could not get any gigs for him and that sadly was the end of that

People do things because they think it will make them happy but it doesn't fulfill them for long. The truth gives it to you freely. Please google Global Truth Project and read The Present.
@@apogaliev2939 You clearly don't know what was done to him.
Gorgeous.
Today's dancers and performers couldn't hold up to those moves. Great find , I was laughing all the way through.

Was he ever considered as the Bard of Avon ladies?
No audio!
He died penniless in a disused ticket office at a football ground.
you are wrong, he had his own apartment and when he got ill went to the hospital and that is where he passed away, I know this, had seen him before he passed away,
ilreput1 ...& now his diminutive ghost haunts Oki-Dokey Stadium at night, licking all the suds out of the disused beer cups...🦂
Vanda and young could have been a bit generous the miserable sods....How much money do the cunst need?
@@BigAussieJoe Sadly he was living in a vacant ticket booth there for some time.A big fall indeed
He'd been an alcoholic for years
wiliam snakespear lost five in 1616 but
Did a good job
Nothing like a criminal conviction for raping a 15 year old member of his fan club to ruin his career..
He finally ended up in Social Housing at Riverwood NSW where he's bludge drinks at Club Rivers & con the Band into letting him sing this tune.
Poor Scorpio b*stard...😔🦂
Big Joe Eagl He was sleeping in his car and squatting in empty houses for a while before that.A big fall from the dizzling heights of the 1970s.Too much drink and drugs ruined what could have been a great career.
@Grantley Leith Yes I'm afraid you're right. After his conviction record companies and media gave him a very wide berth😥
It's a shit business.

Wonder how he could move in that gear. Wasn’t he charged on sexual charges with children. I do remember singing the chorus with him when I was 13
No. He was set up by a girl who was under age, but who looked much older. He was charged and convicted and it destroyed his life. It wasn't his fault, and it finished him.
She was the president of his fan club
I wonder if the girl who set him up ever feels shame?
He had sex with a fifteen year old girl
He was 26 years old
This makes him a paedophile
@@therealbushboy6440 He was set up, idiot. She claimed she was eighteen, and she looked eighteen. A lot of girls did that to celebrities.
A Garry Glitter Clone.
