When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
There's a golden sky

@@lauramacgillefhinnein5106 I was quite young, but still vaguely remember it happening. I'm glad that the truth of the matter finally got out. Regarding the S*n there's very few shops in this city that sell that rag! It's amazing how many people still believe that what they printed actually happened, even though the footage is on RUclips for anyone to watch. They knew all along that there was no credibility in what they printed and it was only when they were forced to admit it during the enquiry that they backed down and made the front page apology. This is why the city will never forgive them. They had ample opportunity through the years to do the honourable thing, and they chose not to. The personnel might have moved on, but what they represent still lives on strong within the publication. It will forever be hated in this City!
Glad to hear that it's not just us here that are boycotting it! Take care, greetings from Liverpool :)

RIP to the legend himself, Gerry Marsden. Your words have left a mark on Merseyside that will never be forgotten. Truly, You'll Never Walk Alone
As it says in the fourth verse of the full version of My Liverpool Home- the version the Spinners used to sing "Old Sam Cunard had the ships and the means, He carried the emigrants- people with dreams, They sailed down the Mersey, Their fortunes to find, But me dad always said the best ones stayed behind" So Gerry did- true to Ferry Cross the Mersey- "Here I'll stay" and so he did. The true Mr Merseyside.
He didn’t write the lyrics it’s from a Broadway play if I remember correctly.

No-one else has a voice so utterly perfect for this song. We loved you Gerry, part of my teenage years.
"People around every corner...they seem to smile and say: we don't care what your name is boy...we'll never turn you away". I get choked up every time I hear EITHER of these magnificent songs (the other, of course, being "Ferry Cross the Mersey"), sung by one of the most unique and unforgettable voices in pop music. His songs tell of his love and concern for those who are different, depressed (Don't Let the Sun Catch you Crying), downtrodden, and just left out, and he brought inspiration and hope to millions with his positive attitude. For FIVE AND A HALF DECADES, I've been fortunate enough to have been of faithful fan of GATP. Gerry, you will NEVER be forgotten, my friend. Your songs were invaluable and priceless. Rest in peace, gentle soul...

Just finding this out tonight...WOW!! I'm in California and when on my 5th trip to the UK, I finally made it to Liverpool, and remember how emotional I got when I rode the ferry across the Mersey River and the song played endlessly while waiting in line to board. Great idea. Actually, the past year I've listened to music from many decades to help lift my spirit and cope with the horrible year of 2020. The music of Gerry and the Pacemakers happened to be some of the songs I listened to and so sorry to hear of the loss of Gerry Marsden.
yawn
Nah. I wanna walk alone.
@Bruce Parkes no
yes indeed
This song is good when you hear it in good times, but when you hear it in the depths of despair, it’s a piece of art
Beautiful comment.
Your right on, I lost my wife coming up 3 months and this song is something else.
''When you're happy you enjoy the melody but when you're broken you understand the lyrics.''

Many people may not know, but this song is a musical adaptation of the Hungarian writer Móra Ferenc's play titled "Liliom."

Sorry for your loss
Even as a Unuted fan for over 40 years, this song is the most emotional most beautiful way to come out to a match. But its not really about that, it's about ppl from liverpool sticking together through everything. A very evocative song and always gets me
When my father was sick and in the hospital, he asked me to play this song on my phone as he was trying to walk again during a rehab session. My father dies 3 weeks later and this was the song that he dedicated to me at his celebration of life. The whole time he was at rehab and I thought I was playing this song as a motivation for HIM to walk again, bu the whole time, it was a song for me...i love and miss you dad.
Nooo..Stop making my eyes wet you lucky son 😣
Love this version sung by proper people super
Sorry for your dad
My condolences
Aahahhaahhaah shiity scum livarpool fans
I'm a Man United fan through and through.. I will always have the rivalry against Liverpool but I can't hate this song! When you take the fact it's a song sang by Liverpool fans out of the equation, it's a song about passion.. It's such a beautiful song and I respect that ye have such a beautiful song as ye're anthem!
The great thing about football is the passion. Sadly hatred in this world is highlighted too quickly, so I have great respect for you with your kind words. YNWA. :)
I wish everyone who supports Man United was like you. Football is all about respect.
Same Liverpool can get on my nerves but this is a great song to have as a anthem
Well being brought up in a family where my older bro and sis are Liverpool fans it's hard not to listen to this song and respect it, it has grown on me and it's probably one of the nicest songs I've heard!
"Respect"
Everyone who is struggling should listem this song everyday !!
Please don't give up remember you never walk alone we will be fine
Big hug for all 🙏🏾
Ahh that's a lovely thing to say♥️ life is shit at times but there are people out there who care
And look at the beautiful faces in this video. 🥰😉🌈🥳🫶🏼🤘🎶

I like your comments. My grandma passed last year she was 101. I listen I cry because she loved the Liverpool and the people
Can you argue that this is possibly the best anthem every no you can't. As a Palace fan I still find it difficult to not get emotional over so much passion
*A message to the future generations:*
_Don't let this song die._
All Liverpool fans won't let it happen, no need to worry 👍😊😊😊
😢It's okay we know how to sing and sign it at Kilmarnock🏴🏴🏴🏴♥️♥️♥️

I love this song. This is the honest truth. This is what life is like. Beautiful and mean. Never alone...but always alone...!
I was a nurse in a paediatric ICU, one of our little girls was baptised in the early hours and her daddy wanted this to be played as she passed away...one of the most beautiful but heartbreaking times in my entire career, I will never forget her 💔

You can see and feel the pride in those people. Makes my heart sing for true humanity.
Beautiful song sung by a lovely man true Liverpudlian. Can’t help shedding a tear for the 97 fans who went to watch a match and didn’t come home. God bless them and their family’s. RIP walking with God now.
So sad hey Harry only just got justice
They only just got justice the TV programme Anne taught us a lot
She sure did her courage even when she was dying god love her was amazing. And she wasn’t scared of dying because she knew she’d see her son.
No one can understand the emotion .I burned a copy of The Sun. I place flowers around the memorial. Our people will get justice.
@@spmoran4703 I’m a Londoner and dare I say it a Chelsea fan. We’re playing Liverpool tomorrow. But I’ve got to say it I was appalled by the Suns headline and my heart broke for those families and still does. I absolutely love the Liverpudlian sense of humour and the way the community comes together in adversary and tragedy. The whole world saw your pain and felt it with you. And when I hear you’ll never walk alone either by Gerry Marsden or the Kop I shed a tear for those fans that now walk with God.
My brother died about three weeks ago. Liverpool was his favorite team. We used to watch them together a lot. This song hits like 1,000 bricks.

I like the way how liverpool decided to make this song the anthem, most of the clubs just have songs saying how amazing they are, and this song just tells us about hope and courage.
i didnt have a favourite english club yet, and liverpool just got a new supporter
Well said mate.
Then id suggest checking "Les Corons" from RC Lens. It talks about the past of the region and especially about the coal.
West Hams is not about how great they are. ruclips.net/video/NUR8QgYBVX8/видео.html
They didn't decide to make it an anthem. The Kop just started singing it when the stadium announcer played it before the match. The announcer would play songs that were in the charts before the match. It just became a regular song. That's the beauty of it, the songs and the atmosphere is not organised like at some other football clubs. They play the song before every game now. Just natural.
❤❤❤Well played Liverpool! Especially second half!!! Back at the top of the league!!! Brighton were more than worthy opponents, they played really well, Liverpool pushed and pushed hard for that victory!!! ❤❤❤
"You'll never walk alone again Jürgen Klopp" thanks for everything...what a beautiful person! ❤️❤️❤️
