I saw them on one of those multi band tours pre 911 in 2001,warrant was one of the bands but Jani Lane never showed, apparently according to Don Dokken,he had gone out the day before to party and no one had heard from him. Dokken played a double set and they sounded amazing.
@@TheAdventuresofTNT There are some wild stories about the lead actor Robert Englund and the band. They partied a bit during the production of the movie! www.dreadcentral.com/news/285032/that-time-robert-englund-dokken-did-cocaine-off-freddy-kruegers-glove/
YES! Some of the best suggestions from them. I'd also really recommend "When Heaven Comes Down". One of their most underrated songs, it's so raw, heavy and full of anguish and George delivers one of (maybe my favorite) his best solos. That solo is emotional destruction, so loud and melancholic yet so beautiful.
As a matter affect there's a kick asss 80s rock band named "TNT". They sound like Dokken cause their style of singing is called "melodic rock". Due to these singers with high voices came from church quires and similar styles. ..
I saw an interview with Don Dokken years later and he told the story of how the band did coke off of Freedy's claw this was my favorite band from the 80s but man they were bad drug users
Actually, you have listened and reacted to a song precisely about Dream Control; Queensryche ‘Silent Lucidity’ - you might wish to watch it - together - and have the lyrics nearby - stay safe! ❤️
Vinnie Vincent (ex-KISS guitarist) Invasion also did a video clip for a Nightmare on Elm Street movie - number 4 I think. Title was "Love Kills". Worth checking out.
YES Dokken is one of my favorite 80's bands, their album Tooth and Nail is pure Heavy Metal! I really recommend "When Heaven Comes Down". One of their most underrated songs, it's so raw, heavy and full of anguish and George delivers one of (maybe my favorite) his best solos. That solo is emotional destruction, so loud and melancholic yet so beautiful.
I saw Dokken LIVE in a small club in the early 2000s. I was so close that I set my beer on the stage next to the amps. Don Dokken was still able to hit most of the high notes. On lead guitar was Reb Beach (Winger, Ozzy Osborne, Whitesnake) Dokken has so many good songs. They were nice guys who enjoyed performing for us. Not like so many other pretentious a-holes. It was awesome. As far as the movies go, Wes Craven is the master of horror. Wes Craven's NEW NIGHTMARE in which Freddy comes out of the movies and attacks the original cast. Brilliant.
It was 1998 and I was in a pawn shop and I found a VHS of Nightmare on Elm St. pt. 3. There was a sticker on the VHS box that said "Includes a Dokken video", I was on board! I love Dokken!
Great Band! One of my favorites. React to "The Hunter" and "Heaven Sent" George Lynch the guitarist is one of the greats. Don Dokken had a tremendous voice. They are still around without Lynch. George has his band The Lynchmob and Don still has Dokken.
Watching the end of this video we need 2 things. 1- Show us an old picture of you in your Freddy costume. 2. Make Tasha watch the first Alien movie. 👊 💪
Hahahaha..... ok, so I thought YOU were talking about dressing up as Freddy "back in the day"...that's the picture I meant. This was pretty funny, the hat works too! The barn thing was creepy, sketchy as hell, some crackhead sleepin in there for sure. 😆
Fun Fact. George Lynch (the guitarist) had to retake breaking through the wall because he was high as kite and weak from doing coke off Freddy's claws... The 80's were fucking amazing.
This was the title song for the third Freddy Krueger movie. Dokken was tied into the movie, this was their MTV video. Dokken has some great music, check out Alone Again, It’s Not Love
Sorry you had to go through that. Wish you would have listened to Album "TOOTH AND NAIL"... Serious...ANY Song from that album is Killer Awesome..you just listened to 'made for movie' song.. But its ok..TOOTH AND NAIL.. For REAL..
please react to "tooth and nail" and "kiss of death" by Dokken. you'll love the riffs in these songs. i think it was a pretty fair battle between the L.A. glam scene and the Frisco bay area Thrash scene when it comes to the best guitar riffs back in the 80s. some of the best written back then, which hold up to this day.
Keep rolling with the best decade of music. Enuff Znuff, Dangerous Toys, Killer Dwarfs, Baton Rouge, Faster Pussycat, Babylon A.D., Dirty Looks, Black n blue.

I, too, have dressed up as Freddy for Halloween. Dream Warriors is my favorite of all the Freddy movies. A ton of his best lines are in this one. "Welcome to Prime Time, Bitch!" Classic!
The song was written for the movie. So it goes with it. And when they say "maybe tonight you'll be gone" they're referring to Freddy being gone, or the nightmare. Maybe he'll be gone when they wake up, or when they defeat him in their dream, but that's the reference.
Ahh dream warriors great song love dokken off of my favorite dokken album back for the attack so many great songs from dokken. Hey anyone hear the story of when lynch busted through the wall for the solo he was so high he couldn't get through the wall and if you really look at him he looks high as a kite. George lynch one of the best guitarist ever. Hey check out twisted sister live at reeding festival 1982 doing shoot em down is the song.
Well, fortunately for you guys; samhain is actually a festival that lasts from All Hallows Eve to November-- 6th i think? 7th? I dont remember but you guys mostly had your good time within All Saints day or whatever its called for Samhain.
Need to Check out "Love Kills" by Vinnie Vincent Invasion (VVI). It was on the sound track of Nightmare on Elm Street 4. Also the VVI group ended up breaking up and the band became Slaughter named after Mark Slaughter who was the lead singer for VVI. Basically Slaughter was the VVI band minus Vinnie Vincent. Also Vinnie Vincent was in KISS for 1 album prior to his band VVI. Lots of connections going on.
This is right up there with the Best of the 80s metal. It truly a 3 min feast of vocals shred guitar polished lyrics sound dynamics. I put DREAM WARRIORS on a hr. loop. Never gets old
Been a fan of the Freddy movies since being wayyy too young. Like 3 or 4. I used to get nightmares too lol. It was worth it. I kinda miss being scared by Freddy instead of real life horror.
This was probably the starting point of Freddy as celebrity - if I remember right, around the time of the Dream Master, he also appeared in the film clip for The Fat Boys "Are You Ready For Freddy?". Freddy actor Robert Englund also guested on the song "Lock Me Up" by Alice Cooper. As for "Dream Warriors" - great song, best Nightmare sequel in my opinion - and was I think the second song chosen as the theme song. Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath was asked first, and although he did write a song called "Nightmare" released the same year, he was busy recording the Eternal Idol album, and didn't want to move from recording in the Caribbean to L.A. with a deadline coming up. So Dokken got the job and personally, I think the film was better for it.
Some interesting stuff about the making of this video, George Lynch said everybody was coked out of the minds, doing coke of Robert Englunds Freddy Kruger knife hand glove during the filming lol.
That was possibly the most deliciously cheesy music video I’ve ever seen. I don’t know why I never bothered to seek it out before-I love the films, and I’ve listened to that song on my own initiative a few times.
Dokken was a solid band for the era. I saw them in 1988. A lot of their music doesn’t really stand up today but I would recommend their instrumental Mr. Scary. Really showcases their musicianship.
Yes the Beast in the East album is fantastic. You had to buy the cassette version to get the song burning like a flame on it. But I disagree I think their music holds up especially the tooth and nail album that thing rips
Dokken, my favorite. The guitarist George Lynch is one of the premier metal guitarists of all Time, nicknamed Mr Scary for a reason, absolute BEAST!! check out Into the Fire, When Heaven comes down, KIss oF Death, Heaven Sent, Alone again to name a few

George Lynch is an incredible guitarist.
Yeah I remember reading in Rock magazine in the 80's comparing Lynch with Eddie. they say he is the raw version of Eddie Van Halen
Hes the best! My absolute favorite guitar player of all time
Mr Guitar
Those solos during the DOKKEN era stand the test of time . And his rhythm guitar is knarly as hell.
@@josettephipps1920 same boat!

yessss... I admit I found them through freddy.. but who cares, they rock.
I agree! They were much more than a hair metal band
"Dream Warriors" was the subtitle of the third Nightmare on Elm Street movie.
Yes. Thats right. I think that was the introduction to Kristen. She was my favorite Dream warrior. Movie 4 "The Dream Master " was my favorite movie.

So many great Dokken songs like Its Not Love, In My Dreams, Heaven Sent, Tooth and Nail, Into the Fire, Burning Like a Flame, Kiss of Death.

Bro your definitely a connossieur of DOKKEN and lynch. One of my picks also.
Love this band. Best vocalist of the 80s
Flashback to high school. Lol. Dokken did have some good music
Written for the movie. Yes, the 80 cheese factor is evident but a real good song.
Mr Scary instrumental from the same album is cool!
Don Dokken's heavy metal voice was so kick ass, he could repel Freddy Krueger with it and banish him out of the nightmare realm.
Those rocks screams tho! Aaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! Love it
DOKKEN IS AMAZING
The HUNTER is Dokkens best song IMO
Freddie Kruger was a "skitzy dude! "
