One of the fondest memories was Sitting down with my Older Brother and Sister (at a time where we never could decide on anything together) sat down and beat Mana with 3 controllers and the multitap from bomberman that my dad spend weeks tracking down. I never told them how important that time was for me.
Really cool story. Seems like it was a spiritual time for a bunch of us huh? It’s like Dr. Carl Jung says about Fantasy - The story carries with it the reality of our unconscious life and the archetypes we encounter within and without.
A game like Secret of Mana play with almost every human sense, the immersion is unbelieveable. The story, the gameplay, the music, everything fits so well and that's why, imo, we all love it. It is a true masterpiece in every aspect.
This entire track listing had me in a heap of tears, and I mean that in the best of ways. Transported me back to much simpler times. Thank you so much for your magical gift of music. Bravo.
Great job Lara, this brought me back to my childhood. Secret of Mana was my favorite rpg and game in its time and is still the one i like the most of all. Keep up the good work. Its great that talented people like you exist and are willing to share it with the public.

The soundtrack for this game is such a hidden gem. This medley is amazing and I love how you encompass just everything that makes these songs so beautiful. NGL, a lot of my favorite composers are from video games.
My childhood soundtrack. Can't believe me and my brother finished this game in Japanese subtitles when I was 9. We can't even understand a word. We just take hints if there's something going on base on the character's expression and we talk to every people we see and if the dialogues change, we'd be suspicious about it. It was cool. I played it again few years ago with English subtitles and I really don't know how we manage to finish this game when were kids. Lol

But renting of mana and playing it with my younger brother for a week straight in summer time made me feel like everything was OK again. Almost 30 years later, I feel like I will always remember that.

It's a bitter sweet joy listening to this wondeful music. Brings back certain memories of my teenage years. Especially the time of 1997 when I was 14. It was the time when you could see the comet Hale-Bopp in the sky. I played this game with a friend I went to school with. We played a lot of games at that time. SoM caused a lasting impact. The game is adventurous und touching. At the beginning of 1998 my friend moved away and we never saw each other again. Now 23 years past and every now and then I wonder how he did in life, where's he at right now... So every now and then I look up stuff about SoM on RUclips and bathe in memories.
I like your style, but your timing is very often a bit off. It is always the same: It seems like you are a bit too slow or that you fall behind the actual metronome. As a fact I even recognize your songs as yours because of that latency, but I don't really like it to be honest. Your selection of songs is extraordinary though. And your dedication.
Her timing is never off from what she is purposefully doing. She isn't caring about a metronome, she plays freely. She is playing where the emotion takes her and she rarely plays songs the exact same way again. At least you recognized it later as her style.
This is very well done. Secret of Mana has my second favorite musical score behind Final Fantasy VI, and just ahead of Final Fantasy IV. The old school Square games for Nintendo always delivered excellent music.
This is beautiful, keeps getting better throughout the video and stirring some 20+ year old sensations. You rendered and embellished all aspects of the original themes perfectly : softness, rhythmic dynamics, drama... I have much appreciated many of your other interpretations but this, Madam, is balm for the heart!
Aah...great jon with the ice palace music. That is a hard one! I would request though you do that one again with the second half of the melody with a bit more slow march rythm and a higher right hand. But your version does surely stand out!
