Me, too, twice, but I'm 58. I wish I hadn't done it either time. I've always been completely against voting and anything government as I'm a Christian and believe that Christians shouldn't engage in worldly things. You can't get more worldly, aka satanic, then engaging with politics.
Let me think, I may have you beat by one, but let's just say I voted on two occasions as well and I'm 20 years your senior. I've seen this country get worse and worse and worse over the years. Simply put, they are masqueraders more now than ever before. If you are told to choose the lesser of two evils, instead of pointing out that you are still voting for "evil", not only is the politician who running manipulating your mind's ability to critically think, but the person or neighbor next door is doing the same thing. We all know that we are taught the difference between good and evil. We also know that our parents wouldn't let us use that as an excuse when it came to choosing friends. Dare we bring home the lesser of 2 evil friends. Yet it's quite alright to choose the lesser of two evils when it comes to choosing someone to run an entire country? In actuality that person would not pass the smell test if you were bringing them home to meet your parents. Take it a step further, would your parents allow you to sell cookies for a fundraiser for someone who is lesser evil than the other person. "Not my hard-earned time and money to help you fundraise for a lesser evil!" Peer pressure is no excuse. It didn't fly when we were young and it should not fly now that we are adults. But somehow, for some reason, it just keeps happening.
The real issue is, even if everyone voted it doesn’t matter because who they prop up that you can vote for has already been vetted. Who can enter the political arena is limited. Tons of gatekeeping with rules and financial obligations.

Not only do our votes not matter, but it has many subconscious implications such as: • I need someone else to solve my problems because I’m incapable of effecting change in my own life. • I don’t have the right to take an action, but this person does because me and the rest of the community conjured this right to be given to someone else (I.e. a ritual) • I’m subservient to another man and should submit to their will. Time and time again I see people (and bots) spreading the falsehood that “voting” is the one chance we have to make change when it’s the complete opposite. I had an 1898 Websters, it got sold when I was out of town. I found a 1933 ("model") edition on eBay and later bought a 1959 edition. But nowadays, when you look at Canada, the USA & Mexico as north America, it kinda looks like the electoral system is hacked up and down at this point. I feel pressured into voting by my parents and husband, but this year's going to be different. I just can't anymore. My mom is always saying that every vote counts and I know that isn't true, I've done my research and understand this "democracy" better than she. I've voted on two occasions in my adult life, I'm now 53.
I've never felt more against my own conscience than those two times in my life.

Let me think, I may have you beat by one, but let's just say I voted on two occasions as well and I'm 20 years your senior. I've seen this country get worse and worse and worse over the years. Simply put, they are masqueraders more now than ever before. If you are told to choose the lesser of two evils, instead of pointing out that you are still voting for "evil", not only is the politician who running manipulating your mind's ability to critically think, but the person or neighbor next door is doing the same thing. We all know that we are taught the difference between good and evil. We also know that our parents wouldn't let us use that as an excuse when it came to choosing friends. Dare we bring home the lesser of 2 evil friends. Yet it's quite alright to choose the lesser of two evils when it comes to choosing someone to run an entire country? In actuality that person would not pass the smell test if you were bringing them home to meet your parents. Take it a step further, would your parents allow you to sell cookies for a fundraiser for someone who is lesser evil than the other person. "Not my hard-earned time and money to help you fundraise for a lesser evil!" Peer pressure is no excuse. It didn't fly when we were young and it should not fly now that we are adults. But somehow, for some reason, it just keeps happening.

Been asking for awhile now what happens when the majority stops voting and unites behind a silent withdrawal of consent.
I fear they won't care. They have the greatest propaganda technology and tools to tell others we are apathetic. We are not a democracy though they love to tell us we are. We have a constitutional republic, but that has been overthrown by the politicians, long ago and replaced with the idea of a democracy. Since when does the 51% get to decide for the 49%.
The minority that still votes will be counted. The silent majority could be ruled by a minority BY DEFAULT, and will suffer the consequences of the minority's decisions. Your not consenting might not actually mean anything since you're a citizen subject to the laws and regulations of the land. If the people who do vote largely say no more gas stoves.... no more gas stoves. That's it. If they take your firearms and wield the military against you for dissenting... your not consenting is meaningless. While we can decide not to engage with political theatre, everything that is approved in our committees will effect us in daily life and effect any nation interacting with ours.
I've never voted, I tend toward speaking through my dollar. However, I've been questioning and grappling with this lately. I'm considering how other nations devolved into dictatorships. I thought I'd offer a different perspective. Take care.

It’s not the abstinence from voting that will change anything but the understanding as to why.
It’s a problem rooted in consciousness. If you’re not saying no, you’re saying yes. To not vote is to not consent to a system that is inherently evil.
Voting only legitimizes the machine and is how one consents to it. Not only do our votes not matter, but it has many subconscious implications such as:
• I need someone else to solve my problems because I’m incapable of effecting change in my own life.
• I don’t have the right to take an action, but this person does because me and the rest of the community conjured this right to be given to someone else (I.e. a ritual)
• I’m subservient to another man and should submit to their will.
Time and time again I see people (and bots) spreading the falsehood that “voting” is the one chance we have to make change when it’s the complete opposite.
To understand what one is actually doing through the process of abdicating responsibility for your life and putting it in the hands of another man (aka voting) and to refuse to participate, is the only path to change.
There is something that goes on in the human psyche that makes human beings everywhere, not just here in the USA, give up or abdicate responsibility to something outside of themselves. It seems to be deep rooted as we look across the world and watch folks do this over and over again. Folks refuse to be sovereign and take responsibility for their own actions, something so simple as refraining from littering. It may stem from the parenting models, societal pressures to conform, inability to separate oneself from authority, the illusion that connecting to authority gives one authority or maybe just the Stockholm syndrome. Folks continually voter for their abuser and yet complain afterwards. The game is rigged.

I voted in 78 because I could, but nothing changed except the cutting of our defence budget, thanks to another Trudeau.
