That's wrong ..Dan Inosanto said that Bruce didn't get any of his kicks from the Koreans or Chuck. You can tell that the right off the bat the way he executes them. He doesn't chamber the knee and Dan said the kicks came from Northern shoalin style not Korean. You guys are just speculating.

Yep thank you for stating this. If you ever want to know the absolute truth about Bruce listen to all the Dan Inosanto interviews. He does pretty much tell you everything you ever want to hear. He does talk about witnessing Bruce in real confrontations by the way. He said not once did he ever throw a fancy high kick in a real fight. Bruce said what looks good in movies is for movies. What works in real fights doesn't look good in movies.

A Choy Li Fut guy was the first to show Bruce the low side stance, side kicks, and high kicks. Later Bruce would incorporate it in his style and later would observe other martial arts as well. Not to mention, Bruce first met Chuck Norris at a karate tournament, I believe at Madison square garden to demonstrate high kicks. So, it’s crazy that Chuck would spread rumors saying that Bruce didn’t know or like using high kicks long after his death. There’s even a video of Bruce showing his kicks in the stadium in front of a crowd and Chuck Norris.

Enjoyed this I didn’t know that Bruce took some concepts from the Japanese film style way of the dragon my favourite because it’s Bruce’s baby start to finish the slow motion part in the fight with chuck I know where Bruce got that concept from a doco called AKA Cassius Clay a Ali documentary made in 1970 at the beginning of the film there’s a slow motion section with Ali dancing around Cleveland Williams amazing to watch because it’s a real fight Bruce respected Ali a lot

Great Video, I wanted to add that Jim Kelly from Enter the Dragon and Sonny Chiba made some memorable Karate Sounds as well. I also wanted to say that I have the honor of knowing people who have trained and known Bruce Lee Students and friends that knew him. Alot of the stories of people teaching Bruce Lee things were not true but they were others that he learned from before he met them. An example, Bruce Lee learned Judo in Hong Kong. Dan Inosanto introduced the Nunchucks to Bruce Lee he did not teach him. Thanks for posting this, all the best.

Yeah, People are constantly trying to capitalize and take credit that they taught Bruce Lee. It's rediculous. Bruce Lee came to his own conclusions upon his own analysis so nobody trained him.

You need to get John Paul Daily on like I’ve asked a few times now. I tried tagging you before but you never responded.
He’s a student under Tommy Carruthers. Also, Bruce knew high kicks way back in the early 60’s. You can see him do them in his 1964 demonstration. There a little bit of misinformation when it comes to what Bruce knew, or could do given certain time periods.

I get that we all love a cozy chat, but come on, when you've got a guest, let's turn up the heat a bit. It's like They are all just sitting around, nodding like bobbleheads-'Yeah, yeah, totally agree'-when what we really need is a little bit of, you know, actual conversation. Why are we so scared to say, 'Hold on, buddy, I've heard the complete opposite of what you're spewing out right now'? It's not a dinner party; it's supposed to be a show where ideas clash, sparks fly, and, God forbid, we might just learn something new. So, let's cut the endless parade of 'yes men' and start having some real talk. There are things that should have been pushed back on like where Bruce Lee learned to kick high.

@@Nickxxx85 Yes, the strategy seems to be cozying up to once-famous personalities who still hold clout in international markets, like Germany, where nostalgia can drive sales regardless of current relevance or quality. While "The Last Kumite" might hit number one there, it's unlikely to replicate that success in the U.S. Just look at the history of budget films that have topped charts internationally-often, the quality is subpar, especially by American standards. Overseas audiences might not be as critical of poor acting or weak storytelling if a recognizable star is featured. It’s clear: these films can succeed abroad not because they are good but because they trade on the fame of past celebrities, regardless of the actual content being delivered.

Viking Samurai always keeps it civil and as the host it is his responsibility to have his guest WELCOMED.
That should be common sense, why don't you look at any random Joe Rogan podcast and you'll see the same damn fuking thing. Look at any David Letterman interview, Barbara Walters, etc etc, ALL the successful professionals don't air stupid chaos and obnoxious noises. They allow education and let disagreements occur without trying to cause a scene like little babies.
