I think blue period is the series that had genuinely made me feel seen.
Art's always been a part of life and has been the striving passion to continue doing what ever I do and now as a student in specialized art high school who is getting ready to apply for art colleges, the weight of reality and whether I'll get accepted or not looms over me.
And as creative individuals we have a vision we want to share with all but it gets harder to do so with the world we live in and it can be scary in all honesty, I want to be an artist, I want art to be my career but what if that industry doesn't want me? What if I become another washed up mediocre artist?
I think that's why I relate with Yatora Yaguchi, the want to create is scary knowing there is so much risk and the hours spent practicing just to be told you must do better can be disheartening making you ask why you even bother, but as we hold our tool to create in the canvas we remember, its not a want, its a need its an extension of out being and mind where we can truly express ourselves and shine our brightest.
So I'm not gonna stop not now, not tomorrow and mostly like for the next years to come I know what I want and what I desire I have been drawing since elementary school I want to make people proud but I want to be proud of myself knowing I made it.

Thank you for this! The time before I watched blue period I was so so lost and I draw many things and then I stopped for a month and I don't know what to do but as I watched it and after that It's like a big spark for me and I really don't want to let go art now, I want to learn more and after reading this, it gives me courage to pursue. I know that art materials are expensive and pursuing art is a big risk but if you enjoy it and love what you're doing I guess like yatora did the hard work and guts is a great strength you've ever feel.
Ps; Also for the one who made this playlist Thank youu for making this, I've been listening to your playlist since then and I love it whenever I draw I play it and it calms me, Thank you so much!

yatora’s story is so precious to me. as someone who drew a little as a child but abandoned it throughout middle and high school, only to pick it up again at the end of my junior year, i’m now a senior and i often feel like i’m so behind. i don’t go to a technical art high school or take art lessons, and i don’t have the years of experience it seems like everyone else has. i can’t even apply to any art schools because i don’t have a complete portfolio yet. i am in ap studio art- i didn’t even have the prerequisites, but i was good enough to get in. i get to paint every day now, and it’s a priority where it didn’t used to be. but still, i feel behind, until i remember yatora’s story. i genuinely don’t know where i would be in art without him- i would’ve given up, but here i am, months later, still drawing and painting. blue period has really inspired me.

While I've never been to Shibuya, this does match what it feels like to walk through the Strip in Las Vegas early in the morning. It's oddly lovely.
