art is the only thing that gives my life any meaning, my eating disorder eats me alive and the only time im not miserable is when im drawing. but i know no matter how much i love art i will never go to artschool because ill never be proud of my art. i hated drawing as a kid and nobody thinks im good at it now even though im the best in the family and in my class, i wish i wasnt a person and i was just my art so thats what people would see when they looked at me 😋 lol but like whatever 🥰

Honestly haven't found many people who actually liked the ending. I think it was pretty realistic that some high school romance wouldn't work and in the huge 8 years gap people can change drastically. I think it was right to do such a major time skip. And as a person who is a closetted lgbt person who is in love with their best friend this manga touched me very deeply. Such a good playlist. Captured the vibe of the last few serious chapters

I confessed for my first time in my 20 ages to a boy ( im gay ). I was so anxious and tired of not feeling free. I always tend to suppress my feelings towards someone, but this boy really made me dirty LMAO. He rejected me and well yeah i suffered all the 5 stages of duel. Then after the rejection, a friend of the same group recommended me this manga and seriously, i think life and me have such a special bond that i cannot imagine... This manga helped me recover from my heartbroken and i cannot be more grateful for meeting this manga in my lowest love point of my life. It feels like it was destined...😅

yatora’s story is so precious to me. as someone who drew a little as a child but abandoned it throughout middle and high school, only to pick it up again at the end of my junior year, i’m now a senior and i often feel like i’m so behind. i don’t go to a technical art high school or take art lessons, and i don’t have the years of experience it seems like everyone else has. i can’t even apply to any art schools because i don’t have a complete portfolio yet. i am in ap studio art- i didn’t even have the prerequisites, but i was good enough to get in. i get to paint every day now, and it’s a priority where it didn’t used to be. but still, i feel behind, until i remember yatora’s story. i genuinely don’t know where i would be in art without him- i would’ve given up, but here i am, months later, still drawing and painting. blue period has really inspired me.
