Between you, Golf Sidekick, Bob Does Sports, Rick Shiels, Micah Morris and Grant Horvat I admit I never watch tournament golf anymore haha. Kudos for such a good channel! 👍
Driver distance and control have been your Achilles heel in the past. Keep piping it 280 in the fairway, and your scores will get low real quick on those days where you've got the putter working. The work you're putting into your game is really paying off, it's fun to watch!
Thanks! I may have gained a few yards with the big stick but any more than that is probably thanks to the altitude/firm fairways etc. in sunny California compared to soggy Vancouver. Nonetheless, I'm trying to make gainz!
The mental toughness you show by not letting the bad outcome of a shot get in your head is admirable. I would be doing well to learn a valuable golf lesson from watching you in this video. Thanks for posting!!
Thanks! Indeed, I know I have 1000 pitfalls in my golf swing, but I think Zen Golf and Golf is Not a Game of Perfect were instrumental in helping me let go of bad shots out there, which has proven to be a really helpful skill :)
Adam, I just love watching you play golf. Your driver swing is SO MUCH BETTER NOW. Good Job! Also, an incredible eagle on such a beautiful course. That was a great round.
Changing the driver distance issue is going to get you closer to scratch than ever. The game is just easier with a wedge in hand on your second shot than a long iron. Confidence off the tee is huge with your driver, something I’m working on this year. Well done!
Played here a month ago I’m a 2-day tournament and it was one of the purest courses I’ve ever played with some of the most challenging greens. From vegas
Great eagle! Still looking for my first one. Can you do a tutorial on how and what you use for the video? I would love to make a video of my buddies with the tracer and the scores in the top
FYI, we could see the hole on 10 just fine without the pin in. Also FYI, I could not see that ball trickling toward the hole on 10 from that high above angle. Good stuff man. Thanks.
6 cap here…looks like the slightly closed stance has you aiming right off the tee which is where many of your well struck drives end up. Just an observation. I had the same issue…basically brought my lead (left) foot back to a more square address and I’m hitting more fairways than ever.
Great golfing, I'm a fan already. My dad should see this. If only he can get lessons from the pro that ironed out your driving, he'll be a more valuable scramble partner. 😁
Driver looks much improved. What was the correction? Also to add, I shot low 80's forever until I learned what golf course management meant. Now, in teaching my son, one of the first questions we ask before we swing is where do we want to miss because odds are we hit more bad shots than good.
Welcome to Van! The public course in the best condition year round is Morgan Creek. The local Vancouver munis are also good layouts - Fraserview, McCleery, and Langara (I'd rate them in that order). University (privately owned, open to the public) is also a good layout. Kings Links is a cool links style course that's worth checking out. And finally, there's Northview Ridge that used to host a PGA event that's a very solid, tough layout!
Eh my 5-iron has always been a 170-ish club, it just depends on the lie/elevation, altitude, etc. There have definitely been times that I've hit it from only 150. I think I'm a bit more consistent with my irons than I used to be, though.
Just curious, what did you change to your driver swing that you felt worked for you? I’m always in search of different feels and ways of thinking about the swing. Prob not for everyone, but would actually like to see all the off the tee shots back to back.
Really like watching your videos as our games really match up. A lot of the same common mistakes made, but I feel like I'm learning from yours...lol I'm not a RUclipsr, but (8ish hdcp) if you're ever in East Texas let's play a round together. We've have a few courses around here I believe you would really enjoy!
Thanks so much. A good buddy of mine played college golf out there and I'd love to get there some day. Appreciate you mentioning this and hope to be able to take you up on this in the future!
So the pro helping your driver swing, are you getting more distance? A repeating theme of the channel is you don't usually go big off the tee and I honestly can't tell if you just mention it a lot..... or it kind of bothers you. 🤔
Don't know if I necessarily picked up a ton of distance, but I got my trajectory quite a bit higher - it has been maddeningly low for the last few months.
2 videos inside of 24 hours. It’s a non-scratch golfer’s miracle 😢
So true bro
😂
subscribed because of this!
I'm workin' hard to get good stuff out in '23. Appreciate y'all sticking around!
@@NotAScratchGolfer No worries bro, we’re just content junkies… that’s our problem!
That's a nice course. My friend used to be the GM of that place and I've played it many times.

A big fan of Alex Elliot and Danny Maude
“Bad putting”, 2 less putts than PGA average on a bad day. Love it dude. A good putting day for me is anything under 36.
Thanks! And man, there are some easy gainz for you to make in that area then!
'Ironed' out my Driver swing? Bravo Sir! Bravo!

Great finish! Way to shake off those earlier shots. Nicely done sir.
Thats an awesome finish!!!
loving you content.. commenting for the algorithm !!
Adam with the driver figured out along with the already super good short game is next level 😎another good one friend!
Thanks, bud! Looking forward to playing later this month!

Thanks so much!
Congratulations to you and your father on your win. Lovely golf and a smashing eagle to finish
Thanks! My dad's taking a lot of heat for it with his buddies because he whined incessantly about having to make the trek to this course haha.
Man, you seem like such a nice, chill, positive dude. You'd be a lot of fun to play a round with. Great content, as always.
Thanks man!
Great walk-off eagle!
Thanks, bud. A rarity for us short hitters. Not that you'd know :p

Rams Hill is a great course! It's hard to believe a course that great is out in the middle of nowhere. Great playing! That course can play tough.

Great round here Adam! This course is no joke

Awesome Eagle on the last, way to stay in the round through some tough swings and putts
Thanks!!
That was awesome! Way to stay in the round.

I’ve noticed that your short game is incredible . Seems like you always manage to comeback after a couple bad shots

Thank you!
Some excellent drives Adam. I'm a firm believer in taking lessons to level up those skills.
Did you record or take any clips of your driver lesson(s)?
Adam! Ventus blue with velocore is probably the best shaft ever made for a driver.. check it out!! Changed my driver game instantly!
I'm glad it worked for you! My understanding is that there's no such thing as the "best" shaft but rather the best shaft *for you*
@@NotAScratchGolfer unless it's the velocore 😉 lol jk
Hey Adam! What video editing program do you use??
Despite the bad putts, 29 in this course is impressive.

If I remember correctly you used to hit 5 iron when 150 yards away in early videos? Is that right? If so what has helped you increase distances?
Eh my 5-iron has always been a 170-ish club, it just depends on the lie/elevation, altitude, etc. There have definitely been times that I've hit it from only 150. I think I'm a bit more consistent with my irons than I used to be, though.
What camera and tools to shoot the video?

Amateurs should always pull the pin (makes the hole bigger 😃). PGA Tour hole settings are the only place where you get exactly vertical pins. 👍🏻👍🏻
Your Driver looks way more balanced from beginning to finish -- almost like a Rory Mcilroy swing
Haha I'll take that compliment, thanks!
Why aren’t your playing partners pulling the pin for you?
haha couldn't tell ya
I’m counting a putt if it goes in the hole and the flag stick knocks it back out. Perks of not playing tournament golf🤷🏻♂️
haha love it
Adam smooth sweet Driver connection...good on you, great video. THNKS mate from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks! Would love to play out your way some time!
oh adammmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
That seems to be my exclamation out there, lol
You were above the hole on like 16 of 18 greens in this round! Couldn't buy a putt because your putts all had to be extremely defensive.
Yeahhhhh. Very good to know for next time on this course - miss below the hole at all costs.
What’s in the bag?!? What’s in the bag?? 😂
A bunch of PXG Gen 4 stuff (driver, 5 wood, hybrids, 5-PW (XP model), SW, LW). Then a Vokey GW and a Soctty 5.5 mallet putter.
