    Thx Lee! Looks like a nice charger. I still have my ISDT 1000wt T8 charger. It doesn’t have an AC input so I have to use a $20 ac dc converter at home. Looking forward to the price.

    Good for you, I tried some of their products (M6, M7, M9 and lastly the MC8 checker) and all of them developed issues after a while. Their customer service is everything but helpful.

    Great information Lee. I have the toolkits M6AC for 2 yrs now and works well for me. Just started looking for another charger for on the bench so I can leave my M6 in my flight box. Like the idea it can charge 4 packs at a time and it can also be use for bench power supply for testing etc. As below it does look a little pricey (BANG for $280 US grrrrrr) I need to keep shopping I guess. Once you have had it for a few months perhaps you can come back and make recommendation on what charger you might recommend considering cost etc. Have a great weekend Lee.

    nice bit of kit, i wish manufactures would realise that some people use above 6s batteries for rc applications and xt90 connections but small gripe as this would suit most people. 200 dollars seems a tad pricey.

    I am very happy with my current setup with 2x iChargers and a ToolkitRC M6D (2 ports @15A each) powered by a Dell server PSU. However, this has sort of evolved over the years and your review unit is exactly what I would buy if I was starting again. I find myself wanting it anyway!! I really like the ToolkitRC interface which makes my 4 button iChargers feel archaic! The percentage readout makes the lack of simultaneous channel displays perfectly OK. I do think the lack of ability to discharge back into a supply battery is an oversight but that would not stop me buying it.

      Can this do 15amps on all 4 ports with a/c power or only with external dc power supply

    • @Retset
      @Retset 6 месяцев назад

      @@dslfrk59 Everything in my setup is DC buty the Dell server PSU turns AC into 60A DC and feeds all the chargers (2 @ 10A and 2 channels on the other @ 15A = 50A max). It's a setup that has evolved over time (it used to just be the two iChargers and a converted PC PSU). Obviously, it's not as neat as some of the AC powered 4 port units you can buy now but has other advantages: 1) The only charger that has ever died on me did so because it was the AC to DC bit that burnt out 2) DC only chargers are generally cheaper and can also go to the field as a field charger 3) server PSU's are extremely powerful, single rail devices that can be found for hardly any money because they are swapped out every 2 or 3 years as a precaution and 4) there are no limits on any of my charge channels (eg the SkyRC 4 port one can run all 4 ports at once but some not at a very high current). I wrote more reply than you asked for in case it's useful info for anybody else

    Awesome video as always. I was looking on you tube for a video on setting up a radiomaster boxer with a rc car using expressLRS and there aren't any. Is it possible you can make one? I would like to use my boxer radio for my fpv quads and rc cars so i don't have to carry so many radios. Thank you for all you do for the fpv community, always appreciated.

    This looks like a super useful piece of kit. One question - how fast/loud is it when returning batteries to storage charge? I have a cheap dual charger, and it takes forever to return batteries to storage, and in winter I find I don't get a chance to fly all my batteries each Sunday.
    Thanks for all the awesome content.

    I've so far not had great luck with ToolkitRC reliability. The form factor, user interface, and features are great. Unfortunately the units I have purchased have both bricked in a pretty short amount of time. It's most disappointing as I really want to like their products.
