    It would be nice if all 4 ports had the xt30 plug as opposed to just the side ports. And like you said Nick, if you wanted to charge 4 xt30 batteries, they don’t include the balance lead extender. But besides that, seems nice.

    Hey Nick, in one comment I mentioned that almost a deal breaker for me was the fact that you can only see 6 cells at once on the screen. Unlike Q4QC where at any point you can see voltage of all (16 in case of 4s) cells. It turns out that is not true :) And I didn't see anyone on RUclips mentioning that. By long pressing CH button you change the display to showing all 24 cells at once :) You can try it.

    I have a few Toolkit RC's products and they all work just fine. I really like my charger it has 4 ports and just like most of their products it is very simple to control and use. But this charger, when you first held it up i immediately thought "Tesla CyberTruck" Ha!!! As i am typing this you said "CyberTruck..." kind of taking the steam out of my post!
    Anyway the overall wattage on this is quite impressive but there is one spec. on a charger that I think is one of the most important ones to pay attention to - the "Balance current" spec - and on this charger it is 800mah... that seems a bit low for such a powerful charger. My other chargers have balance currents about 2 times that. Balance current is the main value that determines how quickly batteries will charge when you have imbalanced cells.
    To be honest though even though this value is not as big as it could be I am often in favor of things that help my batteries last longer and stay healthier. Fast charging is a bit rough on batteries and it is one way to degrade the capacity and performance of a battery. Just know that this will not be the fastest charger for your batteries and if fast is important then keep looking. Plus this thing looks like a CyberTruck - Yuck! (Just one persons opinion) Cheers!

    Now that's a beefy charger. Until just recently I've been using charg boards, I almost had 2 batteries go up and a friend did (they were home and all is good, but still), I don't use those anymore. Love the phone charger up top. Those XT30's are a nice touch, shame only the two sides have em, and I agree with the extension cables, be nice if some were included or an option at least. Thanks for the review!

    2:05 in your example, they would level out eachother pretty quickly themselves. Maybe with different Ohm there could be some issues somehow only related to overcharging?

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  Год назад

      I don't think so, as with a series/parallel board the charger sees all the batteries as one battery, where when we charge normally without a series board the charger sees each individual cell.

    • @calmarcalmar
      @calmarcalmar Год назад

      @@NickBurnsFPV hm, but when you connect a 3.5V and a 3.7V onto the parallelboard, there will instantly flow current between each lipo, making them around 3.6V at the end. Just by having them parallel connected to each other - . maybe we can agree on that?
      that's why you can't put a 3.3V and a 4V parallel (- with - and + with + connected), the huge current between them on connecting, would burn out everything on the board. AFAIK.

    Isn't ToolkitRC a company that made a batch of 4 channel chargers where multiple channels didn't work out of the box? I assume they have no QA whatsoever, which is a bit concerning when one of the possible outcomes is a house burning down..

    I find that charging screen confusing. On my q4ac i see all cells on one screen. It is 4 cells per battery, yes. But i think this screen is big enough. It js very important for me to monitor all (16 in my case) cells at once. I dont wanna scroll every 2 mins to see other cells. Big deal from my point of view.

    Great video! I'm new, transitioning from DJI to the real world of FPV! Do you have links for those adapters? I was on a budget, and I got a charger with one channel; now looking into buying something better, and you made a good point about those adapters. You also did another review on another 4-channel hub. Which one would you get Q6AC or Hota F6+? Thank you very much, and happy holidays!

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  Год назад

      I like how the Q6AC operates and tend to use it first. The Hota has a nice small footprint so it does get used on the charging shelf just not first. I don't have a link for those adapters, I am sure they are out there somewhere, but not finding them on our fpv shops websites. Parallel charging boards are close but those are more expensive than we need.

    • @NickBurnsFPV

      yes, It has varied over the years, but as far as weight loss I cut my calories down to 1000 for a few months. Mainly eating chicken and veggies, focus on proteins and overall volume to help feel full. My workouts are short and have to work in around my schedule of day job, family and kid activities...so I keep it short. Workouts are limited to 45 minutes from the time to start to change my clothes to workout to the end of the workout. I do strength train with dumbbells at home and walk on the treadmill. Today I continue to do the same workouts, which can range from 3x week to 6x week. I still focus the food on high proteins and overall volume, but the caloric intake is closer to 1700/day.
