Hi Donna, just spotted this video. Absolutely super and so cheerful and reminds me of the days we went sailing. We still have our Mirror Dingy and it has the name “Cool Bananas”. Taping the template to the ruler is a great idea. I would never have thought that out. Thanks so much for sharing. 🙋♀️🌻
Just found you on U Tube last week. Now I'm not getting enough sleep because I'm watching your tutorials until late at night. Not good when I get up at 5:00 am. Love your tutorials your energy and handy tips.
Beautiful I also love the table runner giveaways. You guys are so great for giving aways your all your hard work. Lovely people bless you and all your family. 🥰🥰😘😘💐💐
Love the tip of taping the pattern to the ruler! Love your tutorials. Your squares are so perfect everytime. You make me work harder to make it perfect! Thanks for all the great tips and helps. Love your videos! I think I have watched everyone you have made!
You are absolutely amazing and so generous to share you techniques and talents with you RUclips followers. By the way, always love your nail polish colors. Have a great weekend!
Donna, after watching you make the Sailboat Quilt this morning, I want to make one, too. I hope to contribute it for a Fund Raiser here in Dulth, MN. on Lake Superior where there are many Sailboats in the Summer. Thank-You Donna for your excellent tutorials.
Thank you for another wonderful tutorial! You have been so very inspiring to me, Donna! Your energy is amazing. The choices for thread and the swirl pattern were spot on for this sweet quilt ! The swirl pattern truly looked like the wind, blowing the little sails!! I am finishing up a single irish chain for a baby girl, but the next baby boy in my world is getting this darling sailboat quilt !
Love this quilt Donna, it's so Beautiful!! What a fabulous way to use the template too!! I would have never thought of that! Thank you so much for this tutorial, you are the best!!
The Regatta quilt is so beautiful! Your choice of fabrics and colors and swirly quilting is genius! I particularly like the fact you chose blue under the sailboats, it seems like they are floating on water. Thank you for showing us how to tape the template to the ruler, I haver never seen anyone do that. What a great technique!
I LOVE this pattern!! I myself would use pale blue for the background (maybe even a "mirage" or "grunge" type of fabric, to look like 'sky'). But love the 10" squares fabrics you chose, Donna. And what a clever way to use templates -- I always shy away from patterns using templates because I worry they won't be as accurate as measurements, or I'll cut myself on the template plastic. But this technique you demonstrate seems pretty foolproof. Thanks! for another great tutorial, Jordan Fabrics Team. Ahoy mateys! :-) ~Diana from Toronto
Wow, this is so cute. Thanks for sharing this. I will be getting pattern for the quilt to make for my Quilt for Kids in hospitals, I think they will like this ..
Nautical but nice! Like the dark blue horizontal sashing...like water. That shot with the camera swooping down as the long arm swings into action was thrilling.
Love the fabric you chose, and always look forward to the quilting at the end how you explain the thread color and quiting design. Love the swirl look, it does look like wind blowing the sailboats! Please keep the videos coming!!
Beautiful boats! This reminds me of my honeymoon in Greece when we sailed the islands! This would be a wonderful anniversary gift for my husband! Thank you so much for the inspiration!
Thanks so much for talking about how you choose your quilting thread color. It's an important part of the quilting process, and nobody else ever seems to say anything about it.
Love your tutorials. I have learned a lot by watching them. I want to make them all but I'm just getting started so I have to start slow. I have saved everyone on your tutorials.
Love your tutorial Donna. I’d love to do this is batiks, or nautical prints. It’s wonderful to see you take the quilt from start to finish. Thanks again!
My daughter, Candy, and I are going on June 14th! We're lucky that it's only a four hour drive one way. There's also a Candy street down there that I'll take her to see!
@@rosemarykriegel3226 hola me encanta los vídeos yo quiero muestras de telitas para hacer mis trabajos ,ya que económica mente no puedo comprar gracias
I am always struggling to get fabrics that look right together, especially prints. Your idea of going back to the same fabric line for sashing and the border was great. I love how it turned out. Thanks!
I smiled when I read a viewer's comment describing a shot of the longarm as "thrilling" because that's how I've felt about watching other Jordan Fabrics videos before. In one case it felt like I was on roller coaster when the camera followed a strip from one end to the other. Today's thrill was an unexpected shot at 1:54 where that heavy and hot iron came towards my "face"! Whoa! I mentally moved my head back for a split second. Today's video seems to have some exceptionally close shots that made me as a viewer feel like I was about 18 inches away from Donna's hands as she showed us what she was doing and I LOVE that. Of course I highly enjoy Donna's presentations, but it's also obvious to me that the cameraman really knows how to make these videos that much more enjoyable - in fact - entertaining. Thanks for going the extra mile here :-)
I have started the diamonds quilt I had to try and see if I could do it all going well so far except Australia is so backwards I couldn’t find a quilting pattern so I have to download yours thank you for your tutorials quilting years ago when I did it was a huge project that took forever I have done a weeks work in less than an hour. Xx

Wow! Looks like an easy pattern, plus the tip of taping the templates to a large ruler is fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
