Jin's Journey Chapter List includes the Prologue and Act 1: Rescue Lord Shimura
Ghost of Tsushima is an action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4 and Playstation 5. Featuring an open world for players to explore, it revolves around Jin Sakai, one of the last samurai on Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan in the 1270s. The game will be released on July 17, 2020.
The game is set on Tsushima Island in the late 13th century. It will feature a diverse assortment of regions and buildings, such as countrysides, fields, shrines, ancient forests, villages, farms, mountainscapes and various landmarks. Players will encounter numerous characters, friends, and unlikely allies while adventuring.
Characters:
The protagonist, Jin Sakai, is a samurai warrior. His friend and companion Masako is a female samurai. The main antagonist is the ruthless and cunning general Khotun Khan of the Mongol Empire. Other characters include Onibaba, the High Priestess, and Ippei the Monk.
Plot
Set on Tsushima Island in the year 1274, the game revolves around one of the island's last samurai, Jin Sakai, during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. The armies of the Mongol Empire, utilizing weapons and military tactics unknown to the Japanese, have conquered and devastated many countries and Tsushima is all that stands between them and the mainland of Japan. The island was devastated by the first wave of the Mongol invasion; its samurai forces were easily defeated, allowing the invaders to conquer large swaths of territory where they terrorize the local inhabitants and gather resources to build up their strength. Jin is one of the few survivors of his clan, wiped out while trying to defend the island. With his world shattered, Jin realizes that the way he was trained to fight is useless against such a powerful enemy. Ultimately, he must learn the way of the Ghost, an unconventional fighting style that emphasizes small-scale attacks, creating fear in the minds of the enemy, and using their own weapons against them, to defeat the Mongols and prevent them from launching a full invasion of the mainland.

I recently completed this masterpiece. One of the best games I've ever played. Hands down.
Fun game. A bit repetitive though.... I love the gameplay and it feels a lot like assassin's Creed Odyssey. Only thing thats disappointing is not having monsters or big creatures/ dragons etc to fight. I'm 36 hours in and 67% through with the story and feel like I've kinda experienced everything there is to experience... And the way of the flame... Up the mountain on jaguta or whatever... How do you get up there without freezing yo death? Just keep upping your resolve till you have so many you can just keep healing? I have 8 rn

I LOVE how every slash with the sword feels raw. This doesn’t seem like other games where you slash an enemy and you might as well have scratched them. I like this style a lot more.

man assassins game do not force to be stealthy , let alone samurais
The funny thing is Samurai's code of honour was literally the exact opposite of what this game portrays, historically Samurai saw honour as ones ability to deal with the responsibilities given to them and properly serve their lord, meaning they condoned a lot of underhanded tactics as long as it got the job done, at least in this time period, Jin wouldn't question his honour at all for using stealth. But I can excuse it since Sucker Punch already said they'd take some liberties with historical elements of the game to make it more enjoyable for players and that they were being more true to classic Samurai movies than actual history.

Loving this depiction of the Samurai. Honorable, disciplined men in a world of thieves and brutal invaders. Beautiful storytelling so far. Everything feels like it has weight and meaning.

What I have learned by playing Ghost of Tsushima until now:
1. Golden Birds are like the librarians of the forest, they know everything, you should follow them.
2. You should also run after foxes, they don't bite at all, oh and you should pet them if you get the chance.
3. It's really windy in Japan.
4. Codes are really important. (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A START, didn't work.)
5. My preffered way of fighting is against the code (see 4.)

I'm Mongolian, but respect the game story and Japanese people. Very interesting point of view on the Mongolian invasions of Japan. By the way, the gameplay and hearing Mongolian words in the game were awesome.
I found that the devs treated the Mongol people with respect, as well as they aren't the only enemy in the game, there are lots of Japanese bandits and traitors you fight too.

The real historical fact is that the Mongols destroyed the Japanese army quickly and occupied several islands. Unfournatly they lost to the weather, not to the samurai. The Mongol fleet was destroyed by the typhoon and the Japanese luckily saved. That was why the Japanese were worshiping the Typhoon and called it as Kamikaze( the wind from god). During world war two, the Japanese imperial army also named its suicide attack plane as kamikaze.
