put some seafoam on the black plastic brake line vaccum that goes to the intake manifold WHILE engine running at idle, then you will see the white smoke coming from the suspect leak. PLus on this way you will clean up the intake gas combustion. If you need more details you can email me. Thank you
Looks like it's the problem the Northstar engines are widely known for: head bolts begin pulling out of the all-aluminum block over time, and eventually the block cracks. Google Northstar head bolts and you'll find lots of info.
Thnx for the reply. Found the problem already: it was a '97 engine with '94 heads. These are slightly different so the intake mani didn't fit. Took me (and other people) a while to figure this one out....
