- In celebration of 100 years, we're introducing three new, totally reimagined #IndianChief models. Combining iconic, American V-twin style with modern performance and technology, we've designed the new Chief with a simplistic and mechanical aesthetic that pays homage to the glory days of American motorcycling.
All based on a timeless, simplistic steel-tube frame and powered by the legendary Thunderstroke motor, the new #IndianChief, Indian #ChiefBobber and Indian #SuperChief offer three unique takes on the classic American V-twin.

I've looked all over for the song, but think it's an in house production tailored for Indian Motorcycle. Catchy tune though!
I've done the same, and I think your right. I wish they would release an actual version though.
Can someone say which song is being played in the background?
Now there is a good line, "Get lost, and found, at the same time"
What is the song used for this commercial ?
Whats the title of that song?
This is what us Scout guys have been wanting since 2015!
You mean scout gals?
@@iamnegan1515 gals or guys still get more girls than you.
@@commanderrockwell ouch 🤕
Testify!
I was thinking exactly the same thing hahaha. Just told my wife, prepare yourself...
Name of the song please
Love the look. Hope to own on some day. Also what song is that in the background?
What’s this song??
My reservation is almost complete! Looking forward to once of the most exciting summers of my life!
Opening new doors for custom builds and aftermarket parts & accessories.
I’ve been thinking about buying the scout bobber but I have been hesitant cuz of my size. Now I see this Chief and I’m glad I’m holding out looks awesome
I just now saw this commercial on RUclips, or I should say a snippet of it. And I wish the heck they'd say who sings it because I love the voice.
Has anyone figured out the song title?
Mercy! I like, I mean I really like! Thank you for sharing! 🔥😊✌❤
I’ve bought 2 bikes this year. Unfortunately the Chief can’t be added. Looks awesome.
Reminds me of the Street Bob and Softail Slim. Only that Indian will actually be able to sell these bikes unlike Harley these days. I hope they come out of their sales slump.
Love a Indian 🏴👍🏻England 🏴🇺🇸🗳👍🏻
Very Beautiful I hope we got one like that me & my lover one day 😌
Build to suite our is there gonna be different build packages from factory? Love the look
Went to shop to look at this. It is actually bigger than I though, bigger than the scout. Looks amazing. Need to be above 5'11 tho.
Is it true that Indian is way better than a harley ?
Yes. In every way.
They’re both good bikes but today’s Indians are more tech advanced than Harleys, mechanically Harleys haven’t changed much since the 40s and a lot of people nowadays don’t like that, Harley wants to keep that air cooled technology they always used to stay true to its brand. Indian on the other hand was a company that went bankrupt in the 50s not cuz it was a shitty bike but because they got contracts with the military for motorcycles during ww2 so they stopped making civilian bikes and once the war ended they tried coming back but Harley had taken over the market. (At least that’s what I read) The company was tossed around for several years unable to make a real comeback til Polaris bought it and created what we see now, a completely new bike not related to the original brand .. more of a rebadge bike paying homage to the original Indian bikes. Who knows what an Indian would look like today had the company stayed around but man Polaris is killing it with these bikes, I love them. I got myself the scout bobber, it’s so much fun to ride, my bro got the Harley iron 1200 , it’s also fun to ride except with like 40% less power than my bobber. both my bro and I haven’t had an issue at all, he has 6k miles on his bike I got 3k. All he replaced was his battery, looks like he’ll need a back tire soon tho. Still I like both of them, both are good. It’s personal taste. Sorry for this long post. ✌🏽
@@stogie0608 Great Analysis 👍👍👍
Yes, they have a both.
This is brilliant ❤️
You can keep your Harley, give me Indian. 🥰
So far they only thing I've heard about that motorcycle is what song was being played
After HDs blunder by making FXDs 'softails' the Chief looks more and more promising.
Their plunder is making 1200+cc motors that make less power than some Scooters lol.
I knew after the challenger that victory was coming back. This is a great move.
I think several victorys had an oil cooler. I wonder if this does? Would an engine that big last as long if it is just air cooled? I doubt it.
The 111 and 116 have many high mileage examples.
There is an oil cooler sold as an accessory for those in hot climates who want it and it also has rear cylinder deactivation that can be turned on or off to keep the engine and rider cool when at a stop.
Awesome pipe sound
This commercial reminds me of the BMW R18 release... where they ride the bikes around South Africa.
Cool video! 👍🏼💯
Ok boomer
Does someone knows which song is used in the video?
Whats the song?
Incredible bike
Nyzz🥰🤩
beautiful
A motocicleta dos meus sonhos🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Spitting rocks at his buddies new rides?
I wish they made it water cooled. And i wish the standard chief had a full rear
I wonder how long it takes to order and delivery the white pearl Springfield dark horse with red seat and beach bar from a dealership...can I have the original odometer replaced with a digital one like the 2022 Indian chief model.
If I was to decide which Brand Motorcycle I would purchase buy a feel good Video .. I would give Indian a slight edge over Harley Davidson..
If I based my decision on handling performance relaibleilty for sure Indian .. but I don't ride forward control bikes so the Indian FTR-1200 is my only American made choice and I prefer the earlier versions so the Rally is the best choice for me ..
The chief here comes with mid controls as an option on some models and as stock on the base models. FTR really is a different beast.
@@tinxinator Yes I later found some real info some Cheif models do have mid controls ..

I do wish Indian would make a Scout that has that original flathead motor look!!!!
I have a mint '77 Harley softail I am selling and was looking around but have never owned an Indian. Time for a test drive
@@yoshit9819 Im glad you commented. What is the best way to sell a bike these days in your opinon. I have always been a casual with really basic mechanical upkeep skills and have owned more modern bikes. The Harley is my Uncles who passed, it looks mint and he kept it clean but was always a pain in the ass for even him. I am eyeballing it as a 77, it might be a few years younger but def a softail. Any advice? Much appreciated by the way
@@yoshit9819 it looks like a softtail to me but I need to go to my moms and look again. I eyeballed it from pics and just gut at 77 but shit it could be a 76 or 75 or even 74. My uncle was a tradionalist "no rice burner" type so definitely all stock and chrome. How would you go about definitively IDing it? I guess call the insurance company or DMV for starters, right?
How would you sell on ebay? Local pickup? Sorry to pick your brain and it really is appreciated. I have been working for a new bike my Yamaha FZ1 is almost 20 years old and to be honest was never a great ride. Thanks again, I have expertise in certain areas but this aint one of em
Why does it say 2022 when dealers have them on there website now?
Perfect
Anyone know the song?
This very well be my first bike holy shit
Indian Motorcycle 🔥🔥🔥🔥
what is this song pls tell me?
💓
When will they enter the Brazilian market?
Freekin sweet!!!! But can you build one with the power plus motor please?
My Gues is that they might add the Challenger engines in a stipped down model eventually ..Every knew exciting model will cause more pain for HD
I’m purchasing a Chief but have full hopes of a 108 variant as the “next bike” in the future. n+1 :)
Harley wants to wait until January to announce the new model year huh? We will introduce ours the previous February.
What is this "Harley" you speak of?
Now we are waiting for Indian to cram that POWERPLUS 104 motor on a new bike. I REALLY CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT 122HP on a bike that's almost designed like this one.
We haven't yet crossed half of February 2021 and so why are manufacturer calling their bikes 2022 model ??
Because they will be out in 22. The bikes they release in 21 were introduced in end of 20.
It never occurred to you that this bike won’t be out for a while?
@@m0b00st they are out right now
Love me some Indian bobber!
A new Victory Vegas!
Looks like the Victory Gunner to me, which I loved the looks of. They used the Octane right from the get go, then the Victory designed PowerPlus 108 and now a freshened victory gunner, but who can complain? Least they are still putting out bikes!
@@Kwhopperfan 💯💯💯💯💯💯 they kept Indian not only because of sales over victory but also because victory couldn’t do a classicly styled bike and claim “heritage” and their designs were not aging well
@@Jay-bw3fl many of of the Victory’s design were before their time but on the flip side the competition could not easily say they copied anyone. That’ll be the day when HD builds a “Vision” the main reason I feel they dumped victory for Indian was the profit margins associated with a “premium” motorcycle brand, just ask HD.
@@Kwhopperfan I agree except for the part about victory being ahead of their time on design. I think they were actually a perfect example OF their time and the factory chopper look hasn’t aged well and is not timeless which explains why victory couldn’t really turn a profit after the OCC era
Even harley discontinued the breakout now
Song name?

Super cool!
What’s the songs name?
Through that one minute hipster love fest i clocked about 10 seconds of the bike.
right lol.
Прекрасно❤❤❤
Мне лично понравился мот.похож на скаут ну большим мотором он легче и для городской езды самое то.и не большие расстояние ездить.👍👍👍👍
Song please
If that bike doesn't get your blood pumping, then you must be on a Harley looking at the taillight
Or sitting on my Harley after the Victory debarcle not giving a flying f@€k about what others ride, especially a reanimated brand.
Headlight looks like Royal Enfield aftermarket headlight
Why didn't it get it's own name?? Totally different bike than the big chiefs with saddlebags and single monoshock.
@@GiancarloBenzina what does Harley Davidson have to do with it ???? Smh. Its a new bike design from Indian. It deserves it's own model name
Coming from a guy that only rides Yamaha naked bikes, Harley is well behind Indian it seems!
Why there is no Indians in add
Cool looking bike. But honestly, looks a lot like the HD Street Bob. You guys over at Indian have an opportunity to build modern motorcycles (DOHC, liquid cooled) with an American name and history. Would've loved to see this with the PowerPlus powertrain.
Edit: In my opinion the Challenger and Scout are a fackin home runs! Great looking and outstanding power. Seem to be very popular bikes. I see a lot of them up here in Wisconsin. Seems like you're being hesitant to go full bore on modern powertrains. Don't know why
Just spitballing here, maybe not everyone wants the same thing, so they are building a variety of bikes for a variety of customers.
I really thought they were going to put the powerplus 108 in this due to the “history and heritage” of the original chief getting the powerplus in the 20’s. I like it, but was quite surprised at their choice. Only one bike with one power train sounds very expensive to me. Even Honda found a way to fit the 1800/6 in three platforms.
@@m0b00st I get that, but the PP 108 puts out more HP and the same Torque as the TS 116. The EPA is killing are cooled pushrod engines to the point where they won't meet their standards soon. So why not roll out modern engine motorcycles now. Especially since the Scout and Challenger have been so popular.
@@JIMBOBALOU I live in the Phoenix metro area, often called the motorcycle Mecca. I can count on one hand the number of Challengers I’ve seen, Scouts are rare, I’ve yet to see a single FTR. However I see the Chief line all over the place. Please tell me of their popularity again.
@@m0b00st Well they're built in Minnesota and Iowa, makes sense I would see more of them than you. I live in the motorcycle mecca. This area is where American motorcycles ie HD and Indian were born. No need to be a fackin dick
Bike name
This looks and sounds like ram ranch, not even triumph could match this stuff.
She looks sweet
Bellissime moto le Indian
fills a gap in their lineup. new frame, lighter, looks like adequate gas capacity. looking forward to test ride it. I have a springfield and its a great cruiser touring bike. would like to add an ftr. its a great time to be a motorcycle buyer with so many great choices.
Dark horse is the best from this lineup
This Is the end of HD
They are incapable of listening to their audience. There's a room of 70 year olds beating up the poor guy who pushed them into misunderstanding electric motorcycles too..
They just needed to keep it simple, and gently branch out. Couldn't do it.
That's been said since the 70s... Are you for real? Haha.
@@omarsalgado9715 Were they as close to bankruptcy then too?
How many times has Indian been given cpr?
@@mickallen899 More than any other brand? We've seen it a lot over the motorcycle industry, with only those companies who weren't exclusively motorcycle only not in danger.. BMW.. Honda, etc.
Look at Indian.. Ducati.. Harley.. Triumph.. They've all been on the ropes but been able to ping back.
I feel Harley is way way over expanded compared to those other companies though, with a product that is looking so faded. Even Norton has been rescued AGAIN, even after allegations of mass fraud this time around.. But Norton, like Triumph has that cool sell-able aura to rebadge.
I'm not sure Harley does.
I wanna test ride.
Make sure you do when they hit dealers in April!
@@Indian_Motorcycle when will they be available for test ride and buy here in Europe?
It's cool. But I can't afford it........................
Love the bike, but WTF, it's February and they are already announcing next years model line up? It's getting a little out of hand, I expect by 2030 they will be announcing models 5 years ahead of production.
Looks like they stole a Harley commercial!
From 30 years ago.
Burnouts, hangs with mates, drinking, etc. Indian is really going for the jugular, and it’s working for them while HD complains about lack of sales and blames COVID.
Lol looks like Harley just made allot terrible business decisions... get rid of dynas, everything a softail, only upgrade paint, tech from 20 yrs ago, starting back into pedal bikes.... oh yeah but Indian totally stole the commercial and didn’t just beat the best that custom H-D builders could come up with in a race
@@joelmilburn9310 lol! I'm not arguing that Harley is dropping the ball...just saying that commercial reminds me of the old harley commercials....
I gotcha just having been in the industry with HD and Indian they are truly ramping up as a brand and are killing it to start slamming HD. I actually hope for their sake the Pan America is a good bike but going up against BMW and Triumph is gonna be a big undertaking
Well Surprise Surprice .. they did make a video that actually tells you some about the Bike and it does have mid Controls ... They have Harley beat again ...
(4) The New 2022 Indian Chief - Indian Motorcycle - RUclips
Launch indian bike in india and see the sales figure😂😂
They already did. The ftr sells decently for a 16 lakh bike. Don't expect them to come down to duke 390 and splendor levels of trash bikes.
Bring Indian back to Brazil!!!
Get lost and found lol 😆 well I like the bike 🤔
This is an awesome bike without a doubt but for the money it’s still got some competition in the form of Harleys street bob 114.
Nice bike if your rich although probably less then harley
Define rich?
@@jonathantyree8172 Anyone that has more than him.
Or you have a job
About the same price as a Harley.
$14,499 starting price which is higher than the soft tail standard it goes up against. But as usual, Indian offers more out of the gate, ABS, more power (torque), more cubic inches and ride command. But competition is what makes the world go round.
Indian has become the bike for the rich.
Dont blame anyone for selling out, but own in it.
15k for a bike is considered 'rich'??
It could be great lower cc bikes like 220, 300, released in india at 2 to 3 lac we love to buy it.
indian motorcycle has stolen my heart, soul and passion. sorry harley 🙏🏾
Looks like y'all might be in trouble everybody's getting unemployed might need to think about bringing the price down
Have you seen Polaris' stock price? Record sales last year
This is a Victory Gunner with a thunder stroke engine
That’s what I saw when it popped up!
Perfect ad to target mid-life crisis guys.
Indian Chief : The Hipstering
Without the Indian-style fenders, it looks like an ordinary HD. :-(
So just put valanced fenders on every bike they make then?
@@motoGPness What is then the difference between a Chief model and a HD? I own a 2014 Chief - and I think its beautiful!
@@superspiegi7098 if you own an Indian then you know the differences. Definitely not just the two valanced fenders.
Right down to the indicator tail light combo.
@@superspiegi7098 The frame is entirely different, The power plant is entirely different (different angle, solid crankshaft, gear primary, gear cams, semi dry sump oil system). Same reason sport bikes look similar and enduro’s and every other category of bike. They have similarities because they’re the same class of bikes and are shooting to achieve the same general things. Which one is better? I don’t know, haven’t rode the new Softail line or the new Chief. I know my Springfield rode better than a road king and I know my Challenger rides better than a Road Glide. I know it dang sure wasn’t the similarities that made the Indians ride better, logic tells me its all those differences.
Congratulations, you've built a Superglide.
Why pick this and not an Indian Scout?
More weight, less hp compared, air refrigeration... Only cool thing is that screen (which I don't know how will work as is not covered and tactile)
Plus the price....
Not sure if it is to compete for market share (new Rebel, new Vulcan), but I don't think so 🤔
Looks like a much bigger bike, which the Scout can be quite small for those built larger in size. So, this bike seems like a better choice if you're a bigger lad/gal.
Completely different class of bike from the scout. That’d be like saying why would I buy a soft tail when I can buy a Sportster.
The small gas tank on the Scout is one of the main things that kept me from buying one. The upcoming Chief has a bigger tank. I already have a 2019 Low Rider with a 5-gallon tank, but if this Chief was around back when I was looking for a bigger bike, I would've seriously considered buying one. It's less expensive than the Low Rider too!
Who said we all wanted bobbed fenders? Couldn't that have been an option rather than bobbing the whole line? You know that a fender serves essentially no purpose when bobbed like that, don't you? The bobbed ones also aren't as beautiful as a graceful, complete fender, either. You know some of us actually ride our bikes, in varying conditions and on various road surfaces, and appreciate an effective mudguard.
Some of the early original Indians are objectively more beautiful bikes, and if you're going to use those machines to sell me on the notion of the "glory days of American motorcycles", and you then load the bike up with all the electronic garbage you can throw into it, and bob it like it was 2017, I'm going to be disappointed while wondering if you understand your own marketing or the allure of your own brand.
The new Chiefs obviously have some good things going for them, and I hear they ride awesome, but I'd call this one a near miss.
