Hello i need your help , i use a Xerox560 series production printer When i try to do gold foil sleeking, The Foiling layer output comes out great! however iam getting dotted patterns all over the sheet i believe its a counterfeiting measure yes. The confusing part is that i have already set the brightness to 115% darkest in fiery & " Print in Grayscale" while giving for print, what am i doing wrong? Any advise would be really Valuable! Looking forward to hear your thoughts on the same.
Hello, yes that's normal and can't be disabled. It only does it on colour. All you can really does is reduce pressure to minimise. Also if you run the foil print layer as solid black and greyscale in fiery it will not be on there.
@@ChrisCorkPhotography Thanks Chris yes you're right I tried the same today and it worked out great! I was actually turning on the greyscale in the general print command. I realised it's to be done at the color sections in fiery. Thanks again!
I am having trouble getting a good foil print on the edges. Do you know what could be the issue for not getting straight lines when applying the foil? It sticks well, however the edges are not great. Thanks!
@@ChrisCorkPhotography Thank you for replying! I am trying to print some letters with foil. I did the same process of printing, then laminating, then printing on top the lamination, then laminated the foil to get the letters with foil. When removing the piece of foil from the print, it seems that in some points of the edges of the letters do not adhere correctly or perfectly; the body of the letter adheres OK, but the edges seem to be missing some points of foil, almost imperceptible to the eye. Could it be the foil? Or the ink? Or the laminating machine? I used a small and simple hot roller laminating machine and not worked great, then I tried a simple low budget amazon laminating machine and worked a little better. If I want to have a perfect foil print, what do I need?
@@bernardorubio3 Hmm, not sure, I've only tried laminating letterheads once and it was a bit of a nightmare but without laminate the foil is patchy on anything other than coated stock. Increased pressure could help. Maybe run some at 95 degrees and some at 110 to see if it is a temperature problem also ie too hot or too cold

@bernardorubio3 hello there. Are you trying to foil all the way to the edge? Which printer?
