    I’m a professional driver with 42 years of experience. Just a word from experience... I noticed when you were turning the wheels, the vehicle was not in motion.. Any time you move a heavy vehicle, especially with oversized tires, the vehicle should be in motion.. You will prevent unnecessary wear and tear on steering components and bushings.....

    I traded my 2015 Superduty in for this very reason. Scared the shit out of me. Took it back to Ford three times, they could never fix it. Bought a Raptor instead

    • @Cameron_Baublitz
      @Cameron_Baublitz 4 года назад +2

      Michael S they couldn’t fix it cause ford didn’t have the parts to fix it.

      Get caster bushings and new track bar.

      If a Raptor can fit your needs, why did you buy a superduty?

    • @sly9263
      @sly9263 4 года назад +3

      @@hhiippiittyy why not? People buy a fast car and no one bats an eyelash. People buy a truck and suddenly your need is questioned.

      Yeah man, I hear you. I dont mean to sound all judgemental (kind of impossible on the net...).
      I just know that if I didn't need a 3/4 ton for my trailer I'd prefer a 1/2 ton. Ride is smoother, cheaper to fix / easier to find parts, better mileage and less expensive etc.
      It was actually a sincere question. I'm curious if OP's needs changed or if they had a preference change or if the modern Raptor is beefy enough now.

    YES i like BOB he knows what he’s talking about I’ve repaired 10 or more trucks with the same issue I’ve replaced the whole track bar with both the bushing and ball joint.
    Think about this if your bushing is worn then what is happening to your ball joint??
    It’s getting even more abuse because the bushing has failed. Always replace in pairs 👍🏼

    Its a caster issue... the bad bushing dont help the situation but that will not fix the issue.. you need to have your alignment guy set the front end to have as much negative cast as you can get out of it!

    Its a mix of the track bar, shocks and stabilizer. I've had Ford replace a ton of parts and it keeps coming back. I replaced the damper with a Fox ATS adjustable, I ordered and am about to do the front shocks (installed the rears today since they arrived first) and next I'm going to replace the track bar.

    Love the Lariat sport as long as it doesn’t have a sunroof. And if it does just don’t open it. My 2018 F-250 king ranch had a sunroof and it made a squeaking noise I couldn’t get rid of. So I traded it in for my 2019 f-250 lariat. Has everything the king ranch did but the massage seats and sunroof.

    Dude, can’t believe you are having issues with your Ford already. Did you take that thing off-roading or what? I hope I won’t regret buying a Powerstroker. I’ve had Chevy’s all my life until now. Because the Chevy 6.2’s are garbage! Nothing but issues.

      Agreed, just had the factory replace mine. 35k miles 2017 superduty. Apparently previous owner replaced it less than 5k miles ago, and then I had to do it. Once this thing is out of warranty, if it happens again, just replacing with Fox shock. Takes care of it. Fox Part number 98524001

    Why not buy a non solid axle HD like a Chevy or GM, so that you don't have this death wobble issue arise? How come Jeep and Ford don't fix this from the factory? Can't they build heavier duty parts that won't wear so quickly? In addition, it seems that you would notice how the truck is steering poorly before it gets to the death wobble phase.

    a good friend of mine has a 2018 f350 diesel , and he tows a trailer , and he has the death wobble , he told me about it , and i found this info and gave it to him , he also advised me that his ford dealership replaced the steering dampener due to it being SHOT and nothing left to it , fater my research i found out that ford has a campaign for customer staisfaction that will extend the warranty on the steering dampener for 7 years /100k miles , under notification # 20N04 / TSB #19-2392 , FOR A REDEIGNED STEERING DAMPENER . ford did not have a steering dampener to replace his , so a aftermarket was installed , since nothing was in fors inventory , everytime he calls ford , corporate , he gets the run around , with all the complaints on fords death wobble , people should go on NHTSA website and put in a complaint with your vin, when the nhtsa gets enough complaints , they will force ford to have a recall , of which they are dragging their feet on a problem that is bad and they know exists , this is spretty sad when a company as ford turns a blind eye , i worked at a ford dealership a few years back and saw what they do , i left as a few did as well and went to bmw ,,,,,,,,,they dont push things off as ford loves to do , complain to the nhtsa , make ford spend their money, its your vehicle, your life
