Just heard a funny story about this song. My friend was a carpenter on tour with Poison in 88/89. He said that one day C.C. DeVille came in to sound check before the rest of the band. and to my friends utter disbelief played the entire song on his own to an empty arena. As my friend stood with arms crossed and hearing one his favorite songs come out of the lime green Charvel. Mind blown, his opinion of CC had been forever changed. :) Thanks for the story Lo Semple - Aspen
Oh my gooshness!!! Sounds amazing Taizer!! -you have successfully Taizafied a classic Zep song- love this band you’re playing with- you all do it justice!!!
Everyone needs Led Zepplin in their lives. Thank you PFoZ for bringing us this rendition of Ten years gone. One of the most perfect songs ever written!
Mr Fludas you in that suit with the bow tie and that goofy grin just makes ya smile!! Ivan, I liked the triple screen for some guitar stuff. Pete and Tai with great work as usual.
Funny thing is this is the song, if I remember right, that Jimmy passed out to, on April 9th '77 having only played an hour or so, at the old Chicago stadium. I was there and they still are my favorite band ever. No hard feelings Zep. Nice job PFOZ
This is by far the best version of ten years gone I have ever heard and Ivan's guitar solo was so good I almost hate to say this but it was just as moving as Jimmy's original studio version...jaw dropping!!
Had to comment again, hahaha. The outro to this version is incredible, man. Also, I like how as each PFOZ video is released, the cameras are zooming out further and further - eventually we'll be looking at satellite images of their homes to the sound of Zeppelin.
This just about brought me to tears. It was THAT good. One of my fave Zeppelin songs no doubt. George brought some of Bonzo’s live fills during the coda. The bare armed gong smash puts this clip over the TOP. Interwoven guitar parts were ON as well. Excellent work gentleman, I must say!
@@PeoplesFrontofZeppelin George, it was worth it to us when you added a perfectly placed crescendo at the end and smashed the gong and probably wrecked the drywall in the process lol. I wonder how much repairs you had to do to the wall afterwards... for a second I thought I saw a Keith Moon sitting there! Seriously though absolutely phenomenal take on this and it moved me as much as the original maybe even more... Bob
You guys are truly incredible. George, I remember your fist video with terry. This has been and always will be one of my favorites. This is the best cover anyone has ever done of this song. It’s such a painful love song with so much depth and texture! You guys could fill arenas if you wanted to!!
Sorry to add, but i agree 100%. You guys need to do a tour if possible. Reignite classic band's. So much of music seems to have just died off, courtesy of every other streaming and music service. Music has been robbed of great musicians, then we get a chance to hear/see band's such as PFOZ. either way keep it going!! 🎼👍
Love you guys from the biggest zeppelin fan here in Australia yous are really amazing very hard to capture the essence of zeppelin but your love and dedication has done proud
Wow, the end had me on my feet, almost teary eyed. That was phenomenally good. We play a lot of Zeppelin in the cover band I'm in, I can only hope we hit Ten Years Gone that well some day.
Props to Pete, Tai and Ivan, superb performances one and all. George, you're so deep into Bonzo I'm accustomed to perfection from you, but don't mistake accustomed with complacency, just when I thought I'd heard it all you stun me with Max Roach hi-hat mastery and you always kill me at Fludas too, dropping bombs when I least expect it. Ivan, I never knew Pagey played the melody lines on a Strat (he played the whole tune live on a Les Paul when I saw them in '77 only because he didn't have four hands). Pete, your uniform excellence and attention to detail I must single out---wow. Tai, another breathtaking delivery that leaves your listeners breathless. You cats can do no wrong.
@@tvare I say what I mean and mean what I say. Those vocal cords of yours, my brother, are touched by the Hand of God. Better than being Knighted at Buck House by the Queen.
Always such a joy when a new PFOZ video is published. Meticulous work from all of you as usual! A great big thanks for your interpretation of this Zeppelin gem 😊
You guys do such an amazing job. Every time. Not only is the playing more than great, but your ability to get it recorded and sounding like that is key (IMO). As a player myself, I can tell you it's quite a trick to get "that sound", especially with live drums. Hats off to you all.
Wow! F**king amazing!! Love this song and you all have nailed it. I take it you all recorded separately at respective homes? Guide tracks for drum's and bass? Doesn't matter really but top, top work there fellas, well played! 👍🎼
Thanks! Recording starts with drums. Generally George records according to how we’ve decided to arrange it, just imagining what will happen. Then bass is added, guitar etc.
@@PeoplesFrontofZeppelin ah right, no surprise there then, what with Mr Fludas being rock solid and highly skilled and knowledgeable, like all of you guys I'll add. I only asked that through my experience of recording drums. A lot of the time i recorded using rhythm and guide vocals so thought that might be similar to you guys here. George Fludas is the bomb, i sub him as with Terry Keating, great brains and passionate drummer's what's not to love. Subbed btw I'll keep looking in and loving your work. 10/10! 🎼👍
Of all the Zep covers you guys have done, I think this one is the best representation of the Zeppelin vibe while conveying your own musical talents. Well done.
Good job Guys - We covered this a couple years ago too - great to see you take it on. Loved seeing the White Strat too --- Page of course recorded this on a white strat (by memory on loan from JPJ that JPJ never got back).
Replying to myself (Stairmeister above) It was Page’s White Strat the JPJ subsequently borrowed and gave back to Jimmy only a few years ago. I had to look it up again to refresh my memory.

Yeah, this version moved me as much as the original does. That's probably the highest compliment I can give to a cover. Hats off, mate.
