Tioman is actually not used to be a tourist island, its a residential island and in ancient times there even once a kingdom there. so unlike other island on the east coast Tioman have less of a touristy vibes compared to other island because it has a lot of native residents and villagers.
During my uni days, my friend and I suddenly got sudden idea to just go to island for a break because we have a 4 days holiday ahead of us. The sudden idea became real once we do more research and when some of our dormmate hear it, they also want to join too. It was so sudden with no booking and lot of thing happen but the trip to tioman was one of exp that I never forgot. We stay in Salang(we just gamble and ask the boat for recommendations) , it is really cheap and the package are quite affordable for us student.
Tioman island is so beautiful. I bet that you guys have had a good time and a pleasant stay on the paradise island. The Juara beach is gorgeous, pristine, idyllic.
Wow what a trip. Hope u all enjoyed. Yeah its true Tioman island actually pretty big, and it kind of more to villages island. If i go to Johor the one that really beautiful for me is Rawa Island in Mersing, Johor. Very beautiful, its just pricey 😅
G'day from Goldcoast Australia. They are flying foxes(fruit bats) we have lots of big ones here also. They fan their wings like that to stay cool. Im loving the vids to guys👍
Great content. I am planning my three week annual leave holiday to Malaysia in September and Tioman was high on my list, and whilst it looks pretty nice, perhaps not with the WOW factor I was expecting - so a rethink might be in order. Glad to have found your update.
Glad it was helpful, check out Perhentian Islands too, they are one of our favorite places in Malaysia and in our opinion more beautiful and affordable too
I was in Tioman in 1979, no bungalow no hotels only fisherman's houses no ferry only fisherman's boats no asphalt it was a wild island. I slept in the fisherman house. Well done guys you made an excellent choice. Happy travels for your future 💪💪💪🇮🇹
Tioman island very peaceful 15years ago tioman alot tourist come Italy France UK Germany Republic Czech Japan n many more. Now no more flight to tioman island hmmm tioman island in my heart ♥
Pulau Tioman, one of my favorite islands. I recommend Kampung Salang, there's a coral reefs right on the beach. You can snorkle n scuba diving from the beach no need to rent a boat. I've seen huge green humphead parrot fish, turtles n many more. Also there's also small Renggis island where I saw a group of reef sharks. Tioman is paradise for scuba diving 👌
On your way to Johor Bahru (JB), do drop-by in Kota Tinggi. Historical place in Johor. The Johor empire was set-up here. Their museum is worth visiting. In case.. if you interested in local culture & history.
As a malaysian, we will keep our islands including Tioman to be always underrated and not to be hyped like Bali. We prefer the calmness and peace. The weird thing is, eventhough we (Malaysian) keep wanting to make our country hidden and underrated , Malaysia was rank as number 1 as the most visited country in 2023 in South East Asia(Seasia Stats) above Thailand. Its really ironic.
As a local, I'll never rent a room anywhere in Malaysia without air-conditioning (well except like in the highlands, but even there they have AC). I refuse to suffer the heat... just saying 😂😂
After West Malaysia, Maybe East Malaysia at Sabah and Sarawak you all trying on.. more advanture, of couse will more gets exsperianses and knowledge. I always support your videos.. Okay guys, stay safe , take care each others, and love you guys.. ❤ 🥰 ✌️✌️

Ohh wow, so good to see in 2024. You guys are reliving our 2008-2012 life, love it. We actually came her for our honeymoon (when we had stopped living in asia and missed it) as well in 2014 and stayed at bamboo chalets just where you stayed on ABC. One thing id say is ABC towards the airport is defiantly busier / more built up. When we went Jura was amazing too, but ABC was fairly chilled, very low key backpacker vibe and we loved it. Just love seeing how it is now after so many years. We did lots of snorkelling here and spotted a tiger shark, so scary but amazing, so much bigger than the black tips etc. Anyway, great vlog , great to hear a fellow Yorkshire accent as well :) good luck on your next phase, keep up the good work and enjoy every moment. :)
I was last there some 9 years ago and stayed at KAMPUNG MUKUT. Quiet place accessible by boat from the main Tioman jetty, Also took a hike up the twin peaks and passing through a beautiful waterfall. I dared not climb to the top most of the peak but there was a cliff that offered a simply amazing view of the beach and the blue sea gleaming under the sun. I observed very large boulders (I mean really gigantic) along the way up. Also the diameter of some of the trees were astonishing. We were not lucky but the guide had pictures of the largest flower in the world - Rafflesia the can be seen near these hiking trails. They also have locals having bee hives and collect fresh honey which can be bought. Fresh wild honey - Amazing.
The real hike is the jungle trail and is worth doing but is best starting on the Tekek side. Local people don't do beaches and prefer to stay in the shade and besides, most of the time, Tioman is plagued by sandflies. There are beach front chalets in Tekek and I always book the same one.
You should have made a nice fish on barbecue 😍 at the first spot wich I confirm is the best🌴😎🌞 I m sure the local owner would not have minded if you asked 😍
❤🎉😊 welcome 🤗 back Mario and Livia 🎉 .I m so confident and excited and proud of you guys love 💕 it and can’t wait to see the next one ☝️ surprise me 😊and have a blessed day ❤🎉.
Luv ur video n the info u guys narate.....will only take a long break in mid June n hope meet u guys on my holiday......my treat over dinner for U guys if we meet ......am Malaysian n hope u guys hv pleasant moments in Malaysia.....cheers!
everything is money if u go to any island in Malaysia bro...but its for ur own experience....u cab judge it urself...as a local myself...i cant really afford to go to all the island...
Good stuff guys! I have been following your videos for 2 years and love it! I am planing a 6 months trip to south east asia (Thailand, Laos and Cambodia) Just wondering what heath insurance I should get? 1 for every contry? And for driving do I need a Thai driving licence like I saw on some youtube videos or I can use a international licence? Thank you so much!
Hi, thanks so much! If you want to get insurance we have a link in the description of our videos to one that's great for long term travelling, you don't need to buy separate for each country. For driving in Thailand you can use international license no problem.
Hi there i believe you've paid the marine park rite, why don't you snorkeling around that park. it's no far from your abc chalet.Just ask the local there. You also can rent the snorkeling equipment near the park

how to do that buddy? could u share more please? I'm thinking of bringing my bike over too. is it the ferry that can bring the bike over or is there another boat service?
ABC seems to be just as I remembered it. Stayed in one of the chalets at a place called Mokhtar's Place (you probably walked in front of it a couple of times). I do believe there were water taxi's (small boats) that would take you from village jetty to village jetty (probably pricey). Did rent a bicycle to go from ABC to Tekek duty free shop. I got a feeling JB (Johor Bahru) won't be your kind of vibe but hopefully you'll enjoy it alot more then I did and as always, cheers.

Zaman JKR buat memang Tahan lama tapi syarikat swasta bua, baru Selang beberapa tahun dah berlubang
It's crazy you complain about tourists, when you are the tourists making vids on RUclips promoting destinations and complaining about prices and cooking your own food to save money instead eating out. You do know that the local people rely on tourism to feed their families? I hope you understand that the world is not there to give you everything for free while you travel around criticizing the cost of everything and that how unfortunate it is for you that other people might be around (FUNDING THE LOCAL ECONOMY) you should not be so egotistical thinking you deserve a paradise to yourselves fully catered for by the locals for free
And just to add. if money is so tight for you, go back to reality and get a real job instead of freeloading off subs and while tying to diminish the income of people who live the reality of not having your privileged origin.

AMAZING BEAUTIFUL TIOMAN ISLAND💙
Tioman island is so beautiful. I bet that you guys have had a good time and a pleasant stay on the paradise island. The Juara beach is gorgeous, pristine, idyllic.
The boiled potatoes and the chili tuna stew looked really yummy, simple, but I think it was delicious, good initiative to save money.

It's nice to have both of you here again. what a lovely place. More exciting if you got u'r motorcycle for riding. Enjoy U'r holiday.
Thanks!
I love these kinds of exploration vlogs. Tioman looks very interesting and some of the beaches are gorgeous.
