I've had my Onewheel for about 2 weeks now and am starting to understand this. Right now my biggest issue is hitting wheel wobble when I get up to over 12mph or so. You kind of touched on this with foot placement stability, but I'd like to see a video that helps alleviate wheel wobble at higher speeds.
Get a better tire from the float life or craft and ride. Alos wide on lower psi like 10 to 15
Glad it helped. Think about dropping your tire pressure if you're feeling some speed wobbles and keep those ankles strong! No loose ankles. Cheers!
I notice wheel wobble occurs more if my back foot is too far back

Also if you're riding downhill, leaning slightly towards the hill, like you're snowboarding. Riding uphill, leaning slightly forward.
Love the idea mentioned about having a line to keep as your base you keep leaning towards, with a touch of hip movement in a feel-it-out way.
Carving (especially with music)is the fastest way I get in that flow state. 🤙

I don’t this was highlighted as much as it might have been. But it just takes time! When your starting out carving feels really unnatural and awkward, and some semblance of carving comes naturally as your learn to turn!

how to custom shape your GT
i have a pint x but if you go to down to the riding modes (Bay Mode, Roam Mode, Flow Mode, Highline Mode, and Apex Mode) you will find a mode thats called "Custom Mode", so search around there and you'll be able to change the shape of your riding.

I have onehweel gt set to charge only to 90 percent but says its at 99%. i didn't have the app open when charging so is that the issue?
You’re right. I have it set to 90%, but it always goes to 100%
@@davidhamid8025 I've been in touch with the company, they say this isn't a common issue so please reach out to them so they know I am not alone with this issue!
@@davidhamid8025 im pretty sure that the app says it will text you when its at 90% so you can take if off the plug. Im not sure it stops itself.

I’m kind of afraid to deactivate one of the front sensors while I’m riding / carving .
I carve so much that I wore the stock tire out after 400 miles.. what your describing has never happened once to me
only deactivates at < 1 mph
@tmak4699 not sure if I understand the previous comment. I've had my XR for almost 3 yrs. 976 miles. I have had alerts from the app tell me that one or more of my feet have come off the sensor. I'm just not exactly sure what he's referring to. I'm an old, beat up pool skater. I might add, I'm so stoned, I forgot my point.😅 GO big or go home.
so its riding a onewheel like a ripstik?
It's pretty different actually. You aren't using your hips to propel you forward like on a rip stick. Much more like a snowboard.
Flightfins give the tightest carves
Controversial opinion: carving a Onewheel actually sucks. The feeling is not comparable to the feeling of carving a surf skate or a snowboard or a surfboard. I think the reason is because the dec of the Onewheel stays mostly flat which means you need insane ankle flexibility to make tight turns. You can’t push into the turn with all your effort like you can in other board sports. It’s still fun, but let’s be honest it doesn’t look or feel that cool. Go look up the best one wheel riders in the world carving, then do the same thing for a surf skate or snowboard ect, you will see what I mean.
I still think one wheels are dope and super fun in other ways, but I wish they could capture what a real board carve feels like.
Yeah, you gotta set carveability to -5. Now you got a board that feels more like a surfboard. New riders can’t deal, but if you’ve got the ankle strength it gives that surf feeling much more than Mission for example.
Sadly, you can’t get there on the GT until they release customs settings or you go VESC or any of the other options. Aftermarket rails are what’s making the GT rideable. 😂
🤙 gotta ditch the stock tires too.
@@ianholland6494 I have an old xr. That actually really helped, much more enjoyable now. Still can’t quite get that crazy high speed shralp feeling though. You seen any videos of people doing this?

You can get your stoke much faster with a Onewheel then driving to a surf spot only to find its crowded. I live on Maui and there's surf everywhere, throughout the year. But the logistics of it is much easier to hop on that Onewheel. There's no waiting your turn in the line up, especially for a set wave. No dealing with the mentality of the crowd. No jelly fish. No onshore winds. No driving to another spot because the one you went to is flat. Meanwhile your wife is wondering why you've been out all day!

How can you carve without an edge....
Do you need an edge riding in powder? You float and flow. Get on one and you will know what I and others feel. I have had one for less than a week. Pint X. Don't miss out.

Just get your first board as a Christmas or Birthday gift. Problem solved.
Also, ONEWHEEL'S are so much fun. I love mine. But... there is a learning curve that lasts a year. And, you WILL bleed. Skate tough or go home.
