    In this tutorial I will show you how I created the modular procedural landscape with variable water level and adaptive vegetation in Blender Geometry Nodes 3.0. In this first part of the tutorial I show you the node settings for the ground control and the water. The vegetation of this Blender Geometry Nodes Model automatically adjusts to the height of the water level. Stones are positioned below the water level, which in turn are not placed above the water line. The whole thing is controlled with a Map Range Node. Both the X and Y size of the procedural landscape can theoretically be controlled arbitrarily, as well as the height and the degree of distortion.

    It's a real testament to how far Blender has come, to find so many well-thought-out tutorials and being in a ten-minute window as far as explaining. Perfection. Example: When was the last time you watched a ten-minute video on making a doughnut? ... LOL😁

    If you ctrl c ( copy ) a node from inside a group, then ctrl v ( paste) it outside the group, it will duplicate the node with parameters, but not keep it inside the original group. ;D

    Can the geometry node generate the mesh for landscape to be able to 3d print? Or is it just a render image thing? I'm still trying to figure out blender though. Thank you in advance.

    • @johnmc181280
      @johnmc181280 2 года назад

      Hi, I have no experience with 3D printing, but I can see no reason why a GN model can not be 3D printed... maybe you have to apply the GN modifiier or add an "realize instance nod" at the end of your GN chain...

    • @blenderdude5050
      @blenderdude5050  2 года назад

      think you have to convert the project file in a special file for your 3D printer software? in that case you have to apply the modifier. Geometry is only math and not a "real object". If someonr else knows more... please
