We have an amazing capacity to associate both happy and sad experiences in our lives to the music we were listening to at that time. Sometimes we find the music, other times the music finds us. It's funny that TFF's music found me much the way Pink Floyd's did. I'm intrigued that I find TFF and PF compelling and TFF finds PF compelling. I am very interested in understanding the connection. The more you can understand, the more real the experience of listening and connection becomes. Thank you Roland and Curt, I'll wave when I see you at PNC-NJ on 6/24!

So glad you were brave enough to list Everyday Life. It's been a generally unpopular album by many people, but I think it's musical sweep is extraordinary, akin to the White Album. Plus it has an uplifting but unpretentious spiritual strand to it, and it's best listened start to finish. Btw I loved Raoul and the Kings of Spain - bit of an overlooked TFF album!

Glad to see Floyd and Paul Simon in there, both from 1975.
Would like to check out the other choices.
I would’ve loved to see more!
    TFF, classy dudes!!! 👍

    2:22 - 'The sign of a good album . . . '
My favourites these days are 'Caterwaul and Doggerel' by Bob Snider and 'Peggy Suicide' by Julian Cope. Totally sublime and relaxing.

Having long since flogged my vinyl copies I recently rediscovered both Peggy Suicide and Jehovah Kill picking up the cassettes for pennies in a charity shop. What great albums.

I love that Paul Simon song Still Crazy After All These Years. But a song that I have considered may be my best loved American song is Fast Car by Tracy Chapman. The heartfelt story of human struggle, the idea that we can always hope and dream that things will get better, the genuine portrait of what's it's like to give of oneself to help others, while doing what one can to make ends meet --- it's just a track that says so much and has that drive and beautiful folk aura. Love it.

Love me some Coldplay. Put on a shuffle & play all day while I'm outside piddling around. Incredible music for just 4 guys. (With a few guests peppered around for kix) incredible songwriting skills from Chris💖🦾

As a lover of prog rock I have so much love for T4F (The Cure and Radiohead for that matter). So many highlights in their library of songs but if I had to choose 3 it would be Break It Down Again, Raoul & The Kings of Spain, and Famous Last Words

As the day hits the night
      We will sit by candlelight
      We will laugh
      We will sing
When the saints go marching in
And we will carry war no more

The Pink Floyd song he was referring to about the record execs is "Have a Cigar". Roy Harper was in the next studio over so they asked him to come in and sing the song. He did an incredible job..imo.
