A lot better than the first Turrican game for the Genesis. The music is awesome and the game plays nicely. It can get quite frustrating on hard mode though.

Ah, a classic and one of my childhood faves!
(Also was hilarious, as I was trying to decide which Turrican Anthology disc to put in while driving today...😂)

I can’t believe they reskinned “ Universal Soldier “ for the Sega Genesis. for this game 😂. Yes I’m joking, the internet is always so serious.

      LOL
Turrican II being rewoked into Universal Soldier was something kid me didn't know and teenage me was confused, then adult me realized it was not the worst move, as it was proven that licensed games sold more than original properties (for better or worse)😅

Was always amused when the Amiga port of this game (Turrican 3) was released, it was criticized as being too much of a console game.
After playing Turrican 1 n 2, my eyebrows went up...😂

And by console game they meant that you don't have to guess where the exit is out of tons of dead ends and breakable walls without any hints what so ever. ;-)

Some of the best music on the Genesis. Absolutely destroys the music for Super Turrican on the SNES.

Mega Drive/ Genesis is capable to scale sprites. You can see it in Road Rash too. The problem is that the main processor work hard to do it, so the game could be slow when it is used.
