Let me know your thoughts on what you expect from the Ducks this offseason
Zegras is very important for this team would make zero sense to move him. You’re not gonna be able to trade him for someone better. He’s 23 with tons of upside. He’s worked on his defensive game…I just don’t see a winning situation if you trade him. If there’s a can’t resist offer, sure but otherwise it just seems counterintuitive for the rebuild
This is the best comment 🤘
I don't get the trade Zegras talk. He is a key player here and just because his buddy is gone doesn't mean anything. He was a 1 dimension offensive player and they are making him build on defense in a building year. People crap on him but then want the ducks to send him to their team for peanuts. Verbeek knows this and will keep him.
Numbers maybe dont show it, but Dostal outpreformed Gibson and by alot.
Ducks only had less than 10 games with a fully healthy line up
Watching. Former Season Ticket holder here...missing my guys like Perry, Maroon, Getzlaf, Kesler etc.
Verbeek showed he's a bit a hard ass w Drysdale and Zegras in the offseason, fine no biggie, but time to loosen the purse straps and sign Vatrano to a long extention now. Just coming into his prime, career #'s on a bad team, great motor, great sandpaper player.
Go ducks!!!!!!
Great Video, as usual, Mike. I really like your updates on the teams, past year & future of these teams. Let me know if you think they'll keep their/My Rangers Acquisitions, Strome & Vatrano.
I can tell he doesn't watch the Ducks.
Just add two big a though defenders (zadorov, hedman type ) and ducks will be fine
couple in the draft ranked @ 2-5, we should end up with at least 1
Z's not going anywhere unless Ducks get #1 and Draft Celebrini and still small chance even w all that Off. talent. He's gonna be fine at wing, where he needs to be w all the center talent. Missed to much time this season for anyone to pony up enough to pry him away and to a diehard who watches every single minute of play, he was generally trying/playing better D. He doesnt need to be a selke winner, thats not his role, just not a liability in your own end
trade goaltender Gibson to Columbus for defender(s)?
John Gibson is from Pittsburgh. Strong chance he heads back East, to finish out his career. He makes a ton of 💰 ... $6.4 per year ... 3 years left on that contract, I think. Tough to move him, considering. 😮💨
Zegras might help Washington or Pittsburgh with scoring?
He's not getting moved
In May '24 right now...Quite a few few rumours about "Z" getting interest from Montreal, 'reunite' him with Cole Caufield. 😏
@@tracyhall6195 rumors from who? The unsubstantiated ones perpetuated by Seravalli?
@@matthewkabel6246..Quite a bit online, ESPN 🏒 yakkers,, I guess. 🔮
Didn't have an "overly great" result? They sucked!!
All of their top players missed large chunks of the year
No
Killorn - McTavish - Stamkos
Vatrano - Zegras - Terry
Carlsson - Duchene - Strome
Jones - Lundestrom - Leason
Mintyukov - Pesce
Fowler - Gudas
Zellweger - Lacombe
Gibson/Dostal
Stamkos 8x3
Pesce 7x7
Duchene 5.5x1
IF they want to trade Zegras then that’s fine but I’d need to hear the offers then line up would change depending on
HIGHLY unlikely we land more than 1 of those free agents, specifically Duchene. Also Leo is our 1C
@@MuhammadZegras Duchene might be a reach which is fine, slide Carlsson into 3rd line C & put Gauthier on LW, I had him going to San Diego to develop for a year
Ducks need offensive and defensive player enforcer...some teams bully yound and skilled players
@@fitoquintero4577 Jones & Leason are fine for now no?
@@JZ_OTT Leo is our 1C, hell McTavish is the third best center on Anaheim
