I don’t understand that it was so cold that night…..first of all it normally doesn’t snow big chunks below freezing. Snow starts at 32 degrees. It sounds like the way snow was described, wet with large flakes….it could not have been that cold.

This case has been going on for a long time. During that time there have been countless videos and publicity about this being a cover up/frame. It's really just that simple. At best the investigation corruptly protected innocent people and refused to do a proper investigation because witnesses and possible suspects are police officers. That's completely unacceptable. The trooper literally admitted on the stand that he sent messages saying he would protect people. They should've interviewed everyone in the Albert house, it's not even a question. You think they'd find someone killed in front of your house, know the guy was in your house, and not immediately question the witnesses in your house?
If you go back and watch the testimony of the state's witnesses you'll understand. Go back and listen to the testimony of all law enforcement involved in this investigation and all of the people that were with John that night. I think after you watch it you'll be leaning in favor of an acquittal. The prosecution while presenting their case has exposed the corruption and how incompetent the Canton Police Department is and any Massachusetts State Trooper that was involved in this investigation. Make sure you go back and watch Trooper Proctor who was the lead in this case.

Can someone explain to me Prosecutor showing videos fr side of house 1/29/22 of people & their cars plus friend plwing the side driveway??
A big nothing burger, what was the objective for this circus!! I would not convict her , I do not believe she is guilty! Injuries do not add up! The Alberts in my opinion , are suspect, something happened at that house, dog bites two black eyes?? Something stinks!
Lally wanted to prove that his case blows more than the son's friend's dad's snow-machine.
I took it as they had to do their own snow plowing and shoveling when in fact he was a fellow officer and now he's dead didn't see anybody coming from any police department and helping shovel the snow at his place

I’m in shock that the officer on the stand does not remember important details like what was the injured man wearing or did the officer remember if he had his lights and sirens on.
It seems like all the witnesses can’t remember anything unless it suits them.

Paul refers to his own vehicle as “what appears to be another SUV” then he continues “I don’t know who those people..” when Lally cuts him off and brings him on track with “what vehicle is your vehicle?”. Paul then knows what Lally wants from him and he identifies that “other SUV” as his own and the people he didn’t know before now he identifies as himself and his mother. Why was he hiding those details at first?

I think she is guilty of vehicular manslaughter. She was drunk and in a blackout. She woke up in the morning and remembered fragments of the night before. Why would she wake up and become so hysterical that he wasn't home when she knew where she dropped him off. It never occurred to her that he passed out at the party? She woke up and started remembering what she did.

This whole trial is strange. Why, first of all why would someone want to murdered him.
I’ve never once heard anyone talk about motive. I think there may not be motive in a manslaughter case. I realize they are trying for 2nd degree but I think they did that so she’d get manslaughter.

I don’t understand that it was so cold that night…..first of all it normally doesn’t snow big chunks below freezing. Snow starts at 32 degrees. It sounds like the way snow was described, wet with large flakes….it could not have been that cold.
You have to think of the location how far up north.
@debkb7 same up north and farther north in Canada...it has to be near zero celcius (or whatever Fahrenheit) for snow to form. Windchill is a different cold.
I’m new to this case, and not taking up for either side, but did the Defense or the defendant pay money for people, to come here and comment on her behalf?? Ive followed many trials for the past decade, and never have i seen so many comments (and long winded ones), defending the defendant so fiercely
The defense didn't need to pay anybody people can clearly see that the prosecutions case is a sloppy mess and that Karen read is innocent
This case has been going on for a long time. During that time there have been countless videos and publicity about this being a cover up/frame. It's really just that simple.
At best the investigation corruptly protected innocent people and refused to do a proper investigation because witnesses and possible suspects are police officers. That's completely unacceptable. The trooper literally admitted on the stand that he sent messages saying he would protect people. They should've interviewed everyone in the Albert house, it's not even a question. You think they'd find someone killed in front of your house, know the guy was in your house, and not immediately question the witnesses in your house?
If you go back and watch the testimony of the state's witnesses you'll understand. Go back and listen to the testimony of all law enforcement involved in this investigation and all of the people that were with John that night. I think after you watch it you'll be leaning in favor of an acquittal. The prosecution while presenting their case has exposed the corruption and how incompetent the Canton Police Department is and any Massachusetts State Trooper that was involved in this investigation. Make sure you go back and watch Trooper Proctor who was the lead in this case.
This prosecutor is terrible! Clears his throat multiple times before and during every single question. Awful questions! “Do you binge watch Yellowstone”? 🙄 “What if anything” multiple times. And on and on! Asked the same questions!

Witness Katie McLaughlin (a Canton Firefighter/Paramedic) graduated from Canton High w/ Caitlin Albert in 2014. When the Defense brought up photos of McLaughlin socializing & being in the same friend group w/ Caitlin Albert, Lally objected to the jury seeing those photos. Judge Cannone sustained.
This jury is being deprived of any knowledge & evidence of the many ways in which the Alberts had their hands in this investigation. *Kevin Albert, Brian Albert's brother, arranged Katie McLaughlin's interview* w/ MSP Trooper Proctor _AFTER_ Canton PD was expelled & Massachusetts State Police was assigned to investigate instead (due to a _conflict of interest_ with Kevin & Brian's relationship). Kevin was conflicted out & then spoke to the witness - which could be called "witness tampering!"
This is the _ONLY_ witness who claims to have heard Karen say she hit John, and she happens to be biased - yey the judge doesn't want the jury to know that! In fact, she prevented them from knowing it, and they must instead infer the truth solely from Jackson's unanswered questions of McLaughlin as to who arranged her police interview. This is a violation of Karen Read's rights & prohibitive of a fair trial.
A man was found deceased on Brian Albert's lawn, and NOBODY in his home at the time was ever investigated. The home was never SEARCHED. Trooper Proctor's text messages to friends revealed that the Alberts _wouldn't be investigated_ because Brian was "a Boston cop." The corruption has been *_displayed on a silver platter_*

He asked only if the snow was disturbed where the body was--the officer volunteered right away; "No footprints coming from the house", then mentioned the packed snow where others stood around O'Keefe.
