I recently bought a 2006 Odyssey and I later realized that the horn didn't work. Then yesterday learned that the brake lights don't work either. It immediately felt promising when you said they were on the same fuse. Well, the entire fuse was missing. Both worked fine with a fuse inserted! Thanks for the clear, concise instructions.

Excellent instructions and clarity for several problems - best mechanic video on youtube, by far. My problem was a light that wouldn't go off. You were exactly right... the gasket broke out. So.... I lightly glued a penny over the hole until I have time to buy the actual part (to prevent the battery from being drained or my light(s) burning out! ;-)
    THANKS!

I so much love this video. Mine was the same bushing that broke out and I just put small button there. It solved it.

This was great! And very clear. Make more vids! The plastic bumper has fallen apart on ours and the light is stuck on. I found another video explaining the function of the switch and how the white tip moves in and out. In = light off. So I took duct tape and a thick washer and made a temp pad and it works fine. It will get me to the store where I can pick up a pedal pad. Thanks

First off, TERRIFIC video. Explained QUICKLY, understandably and the extra knowledge about the horn being on the same circuit was EXCELLENT to know first… Thanks for that!
Just to add to your video for viewers, the brake light switch can be accessed after pulling down the lower kick panel trim, below the steering wheel. I have a 2006 Touring. I couldn’t see the switch because the kick panel was in the way blocking access to the switch.
Wish me luck. I’m hoping it’s the switch and not something else that’s wrong.
      Thanks again for your video!
      Larry

Thank you for explaining things n showing. I been searching all over trying to find the break fuse. Since horn works then it's not fuse. Light bulbs don't looked but out either now I will have to look at the pedal it looks like as my break lights will not come on...they stopped both ones only one on the top of trunk comes on...

The brake switch broke on my 2011 odyssey.
Brakes stayed on, cruze went out and skid control light when on.
I didn't know it was the brake switch but I sure was glade it was. Under $11 fix 😪
I plugged the computer in and it gave me two codes but the problem was the broken brake switch.

So I have a 2010 Odyssey. Third brake light works, the two back brake lights (sides) don't. The horn works, so its not that fuse... is this a switch issue or perhaps a different fuse? Only other thing I could think of is a broken wire (I hope not). Any thoughts you could share ?

I have a 2008 Honda Odyssey. I can't get the old brake light switch out. I can barely reach it so that might be the problem. Suggestions?

So I have a 2009 Odyssey, just like the person w/ the 2010. Third brake light works, the two back brake lights (sides) don't. Are they all on the same fuse? Please advise. Bulbs are fine, fuse seems to be fine.
