One thing I love about this channel is that the paint jobs always honor the setting of the 40k Universe. It appears very lore accurate. Of course all colours are very cool but your videos have this specific ' thematic setting' .

If I was GW I'd hire him out to be Head Judge at all major events. Even when he's playing the role of Servo-Skull he'll correct a couple mistakes at least per game
Awesome battle report. I like that the tau stratagem to reroll to hit is like them handing out their own grudges. That stratagem and the detachment's advance buff is the reason I picked 2 Missilesides over a Fireknife unit for my mont'ka list.

In general Iam not a big fan of the Thunderkin, but damn, that paint job could make even a Assult Centurion look good ^^ . Its a bit sad how horde-y Votann are atm, hopeing that the codex will make them a bit more point heavy so that they are not just a little more expensive than Ork on a per model basis, hopefully they got some cool new units too.

As a new T'au player in 40k I'm surprised by use of the Ion cannon on the Hammerhead and not the rail gun. I'm also slightly disgusted because Railgun is best gun to make things not be there anymore.
I have a soft spot for the Ion Cannon from when the Tau were first introduced in 3rd. Plus with the Lethals from Montka they can afford great utility for both anti tank and anti heavy infantry, and my reasoning is with a Sunforge team, Fusion on the Pirahnas and Stealth Suits, Seeker Missles on all the vehicles, and 2 Broadsides, I'd have enough antitank, but for those tricksy 3W elite infantry, the Ion Cannon let's me threaten them significantly 🙂

I think chef forgot to reroll hits against the land fortress. He spent the strat the previous turn and it last the game. His railguns would have rerolled the failed hits at least.
My goodness, the votann look incredible! The game looks so good, but it realy seems i have developed away from casual games. The lists were funny, but the layout was just to much for me, nethertheless everyone his own cup of tea!
What i fing funny is: this vudeo came out the same day i had a votann game against my friends Mon'ka t'au, and i won, so thats 2 votann victory over tau that day

One major thing i noticed, Chef did take advantage of lethal hits past turn 3!!
Only on Turn 4, with the Coldstars unit who specifically had the Enhancement to let me do so (Exemplar of the Mont'ka) 🙂

There were definitely places to hide, but with armies being so large nowadays, plus Assault on everything for the Tau, hiding is tricky indeed 😅

Are there any stories about Tau and Votann interacting in lore ?
The Tau actually got several weapon blueprints from the Leagues via trading. One of them being the Railgun I believe.
Some Demiurgs have been allies of the Tau
