Watching her fingers only is a profound satisfying experience. And I never get bored of hearing this concert from her. And like for everything she plays, her versions become the gold standard in my mind!
Along with Prokofiev 3, Ravel G and Chopin E minor, Martha has shared innumerable performances of the Schumann (who’s complaining?) but this is one of the best, combining verve that’s never driven with a parlando lyricism I find enchanting. The orchestra is marvelous too. Eternal spring. Thanks so much for sharing.
Martha is of few pianists, like myself, that have realized the science of Hammer hitting String to Create a Meditation. Feel how perfect each contact creates the perfect story. It can only happen when every movement is careful, practised, intuitive.
As always, Argerich is amazing. I saw something amazing again. At the final climax, I saw many divergent paths. which path are you going to take? Something like that. Because of this, I can't quit being an Argerich fan. thank you for the nice video

Comment dire ?...
I have a strange question, as a fellow pianist. I wonder if Martha still has the score she used when she played this at 11 or 12, or does she have many scores that she’s used in 70+ years? I still have scores from my high school years; but that’s a fraction of the seven decades she’s been playing this piece. Of course she’s divine and I hope she plays for another twenty years! Does she even need to look at the score anymore? Horowitz was famous for neglecting to do that and had mislearned things from time to time. They would creep in and he would continue to make the same mistakes.
@@daniels1633 interesting. They say that Heifetz used to throw away his scores and buy a new one every time he played the same piece. He believed in looking at it fresh each time. That could be exhausting. He would also apparently use new fingerings too.
72 years playing this concerto and still incredible. Only Martha Argerich has such an unbelievable talent to do that.❤
She keeps getting better
@@daniels163382!!!!!! Years
Her musical intellect is the equivalent of Einstein in science.
She's 82 😊

Thank you for all happy moments I have listening to the music you play
She has matured beautifully and displays full of lyricism and delicacy with much slower tempo. I love this interpretation.
Wonderful to hear and a joy to watch.

I will also never get bored especially because she always plays differently every time
Always beautiful Martha Argerich 🎶🎹❤️

Martha Argerich is making history in each of her performances. Because it is always a new creation each time she plays.
Yeah it’s amazing

When was this performance? The final 3 minutes are among the most sublime of all the concerto literature.

I’ve seen her with old looking scores when playing 2 piano concerts

What happened to the director's dais? with wheels... Great Argerich.
