For me, maybe her best Schumann performance ever...unbelievable artistry and technical command. And at her age it is even more miraculous. What a human being!
Martha Argerich makes the music come to life with her power, grace, and her devotion to excellence. She is truly one of the greats.

Was mir auffällt ist, dass Martha Argerich immer nur die gleichen Klavierkonzerte spielt. Das Niveau ist immer noch sehr hoch, aber dann doch nicht so hoch wie bei Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli. Und ich höre auch keine Weiterentwicklungen und echten Veränderungen. Ich habe sie doch im Verdacht, und sie sagt es ja manchmal selbst über sich, dass sie zu wenig übt. Schade eigentlich! Bei ihrem immensen Talent wäre sicherlich noch mehr drin und vor allem, wie würde sie die Brahmskonzerte spielen oder andere Partiten als die 2. von Bach.......

I get it. Schumann's concerto can bore one to death, no matter the interpreter. Maybe hearing her with Prokofiev or Tchaikovsky concerti?
@@BurningSky9 nope, i was on the fourth floor, it's far away and the acoustics aren't well optimised for those seats, you can't hear all that much
and for 83 bucks i can go for 3-5 other concerts, of course the other musicians aren't as good but some can be quite good

I get it. I usually buy first or second row if possible, otherwise my semi-deaf self can't hear anything but a muffled mush. 😅

i dont have the cash for first row, lol i go to concerts 4 times a month on average
