This Week’s Happy Hour Special: Lemon Pomegranate Mocktail
Ingredients:
Lemon Pomegranate Mocktail
2 ounces pomegranate juice
1 ounce lemon zest simple syrup
6 ounces seltzer
Fresh mint sprig (for garnish)
Lemon Zest Simple Syrup
Zest of 1 lemon
1/4 cup water
1/8 cup sugar
Instructions for Lemon Zest Simple Syrup:
Simmer 1/4 cup of water over medium heat on the stove. Stir in lemon zest and sugar until sugar is dissolved. (If you want to speed up the process, you can microwave ingredients for about a minute instead). Strain the simple syrup into a small bowl.
Instructions for Mocktail:
Fill a cocktail glass with ice. Add the pomegranate juice, simple syrup and seltzer. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and enjoy.

Why are we not taught about handling money and investing in schools? It’s the way government can keeps us under their thumb. Ever since I heard Rachel is into conspiracy theories, I had to share this!
What are you even talking about? I went to public schools for 19 years including college, and never had a class that was particularly good at teaching the students how to handle money or the importance of investing in public schools.
K-12 schools are paid for with taxes that people are forced to pay for anyway. So being told to pay for public schools would be unnecessary given that the structure of our society already requires it. I guess one could argue that college is too expensive and has many general education classes which aren’t necessarily for someone’s major. But there are plenty of other reasons for why college is expensive and requires taking GE classes. For instance, the most common major for freshmen college students is undeclared, and those who haven’t selected a major yet still need to go to some classes while they decide where to specialize.

Why didnt the Soviets say something if we didnt go? Part me thinks about the technology too but then you have to realize the technology had to be invented at some point. For example the train is over 120 years old. It had to be invented at some point and it just so happens it was 1850 or whatever year it was.

We can. But in that program we spent, 10x as much on it as we spend on nasa now. NASA in the 60s was 10% of all federal soending. Now it’s a fraction of a percent. Can’t do big things on small money

Here’s my thoughts on the man on the moon.
Allegedly, we’ve lost the technology to get back to moon, that’s what they tell us.
But then they also tell us that the technology that got us there was less sophisticated than an iPhone. So what the heck?!

I’m not sure, but I would assume it’s to do with the speed of sending high resolution data such a long distance. They don’t have the same bandwidth we do on earth.

Finally talking about the real issues.
RON FUNCHES, is the comedian and he is one of my FAVORITES
So, my Dad is into conspiracy theories. I am not. But he almost always has a practical explanation that I would concede is likely. An example is the moon landing. There is proof left on the lunar surface that we landed. So he doesn’t dispute that. But he remembers watching the landing on TV along with most of the western world. And he said that the picture quality was awful for most of it until after the landing. Then suddenly it cut to a better quality image. Dad theorises that they had a better quality studio backup so that people didn’t feel ripped off by the huge financial and time investment in the space race. And I’m like, “yeah, I’d pay that. That could be probable.” I only believe in conspiracies where there is big money to be made/lost and the path taken isn’t too hard. Most conspiracy theories are just so convoluted that I just don’t see it being likely anyone goes to the effort. But things that aren’t hard and save money/face, I think could go on.

Im sure one of the things the people committing conspiracies are relying on is it being too big to believe. For example if the government put an alien on a train in New York who would believe it? Why go through the effort of hiding it when the citizens will do it for you?
I love Rachel & George so much. This topic was wonderful too. However, Rachel is constantly playing with her hair, it is very distracting. I love her so much though.
Rachel, I love your spirit and concur with many of the theories you talked about. I’ve never been to or heard about the Denver airport, but sounds very suspicious! I hardly trust anything and have had interesting conversations with professional people who brought things up to me with no prompting (a dentist and an airline pilot) who were both in the military at one point and have seen some unbelievable things. They couldn’t even say much, but enough to convince me that we don’t know most of what really goes on! The New World Order is definitely a thing. Thankfully, though, the comfort is that as a Christian we know that God sees all and is the ultimate One in charge. He will take care of His own!

The Denver airport Had to be moved because1. It literally had runway overpasses crossing major interstate 25. 3. it was getting too many flights for the small area it originally had. It could still have secrets

I feel like my IQ went down listening to this. But I was entertained. I’m with George much more than Rachel regarding just about all of these.
FYI: We definitely went to the moon. We left reflective devices on the surface which we can bounce lasers off of.
There are plenty of reasons the Denver airport would have tunnels underneath and not be located super close to downtown Denver. Especially given that residents don’t want to be right next to an airport, and much of downtown Denver is very close to a bunch of really tall mountains that would get in the way of takeoffs and landings.
And if there was some awful stuff going on associated with the Denver airport, why would the artist of some of the murals be able to leave cryptic clues? I’m not saying that conspiracies don’t happen. But if you think one happened, you better have some good evidence for your idea of what really happened. And not ignore all of the evidence for the conspiracy being wrong or unnecessary in resolving a lot or the mysteries that they allegedly “solve”.
They say that Kubrick was the one that faked the moon landing but Kubrick was known to be such a perfectionist and such a brat that he would have insisted on going to the moon in order to film that darn thing.
