The talent on that stage was astounding. Boxing was king around a hundred years ago. How times have changed for the current state of the "sweet science".
Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Norton, Holmes are the greatest boxers as the '70s era Heavyweights, but Ali and Frazier are legends warriors. Ali and Frazier are my heroes and hurts me that Ali was so bad with parkinson's disease .....
so sad watching this today (6/21/2016) 3 on this panel and in the video has passed on, Ken Norton, Joe Frazier and most recently the GOAT Mohammed Ali, Greatly missed, the only one left is the great Larry Holmes.
Did Donahue refer to Ken Norton as the car accident at the jump rope part? I liked how Frazier would change the subject or start talking when Donahue asked Ali a question. You could tell he was protecting Ali from embarrassment from not being able to talk.
It's so good to see that and odd at the same time. Knowing how Joe took his bitterness with Ali to his grave. Joe never forgave him for the mean things Ali said about him in the lead up to their famous trilogy.
***** --It would have been nice for Joe to forgive him. Joe was truly hurt by some things Ali said and for good reason. Ali did apologize, but for Joe the hurt cut too deep. www.examiner.com/article/philly-s-joe-frazier-hated-muhammed-ali Show me credible information (link) saying Joe forgave Ali.
Kool hand duke Your wrong they have had photo shoots together before Frazier died. Ali cried when he got to see Frazier as a xmas gift. Frazier was also featured on one of Ali documentaries he was crying saying how "Ali can no longer speak because of the Parkinson disease, but I will speak for him" He said so many nice things about Ali he said it really hurts to see one of his close friends like that especially knowing Ali he knew Ali was trapped and dying inside cause he couldn't box or speak anymore. these events and many more happened in the late 70's through their 80s up until Frazier funeral.
This is legit boxing media history GOLD ✊🔥👏 Thanks for the upload fam 🙏 if not for you we would never have been able to experience this moment in time for ourselves... in way 😏🔥☝️
Great to see all these great, remarkably successfully heavyweight boxers together. Tragic that Ken Norton sustained serious injuries in an automobile accident as well suffering several strokes. He had a unique style of boxing. I always felt he could have been given more substantial film parts, since he was very photogenic and certainly had presence on the screen.
You see these guys up there. All great champions. Some of the best ever in the heavyweight division. They were like Superman with skill like few had. All of them are gone now except for Larry. I think once when Larry was asked how he would like to be remembered, his response was something like "for being one of the longest living people". I hope so.
I think that Ken Norton looked mad the whole show because he had too much respect for Ali and this people are asking bad questions about the disease of muhammad....... Stupid show. I would have loved to see foreman in there, he would had say something to defend Ali
I love all these great fighters..as a boy they all gave me hope..made me brave..i watched all of they're fights..they also taught me to fight..and i was pretty good...I love you all champs...

@@libanabduqader3455 in fairness he did show Ali as a winner in the 1974 fight vs Frazier. But this was a horrible show too many sleazy disrespectful loaded questions. To be honest idk why they even agreed to go on the show they should have known Donahue was trash.
Ali in his day would carry the whole interview. He was clever as hell
Ali is my role model ...even after death. perfect human
The host was not a gentleman on that stage!
رحمة الله على محمد على...أسأل الله سبحانه وتعالى أن يتجاوز عنه ويسكنه فسيح جناته هو وجميع أموات المسلمين.
Ken Norton looked mad as hell the whole time.....
God bless all of them. I really miss Ali's humor.
Ali seemed like he was getting agitated by some of Phil smart ass remarks.
Out of all those champions, Ken Norton is the man I would fear the most. Larry Holmes is probably the most underrated of the group.
Larry Holmes is probably one of most underrated fighters ever.
so sad watching this today (6/21/2016) 3 on this panel and in the video has passed on, Ken Norton, Joe Frazier and most recently the GOAT Mohammed Ali, Greatly missed, the only one left is the great Larry Holmes.
Joe was a quality guy..
Ali was my hero at ten years old.He is my hero today,at 72
years of age.Not only as a fighter; but as a brilliant Man!!
Ken Norton is the most underrated fighter in heavyweight history
Yes he was.
@@kevinquinn3763 bue he wasnt good to heavy punchers like foreman and shavers
@@boxeolocopunch762 who cares about heavy punches
@@boxeolocopunch762 Anthony Joshua has heavy punches and is a noob
True
Joe Frazier, what a great man!
Anyone know why everyone laughed when they asked ali if his trainings afected his relationship and he said no?
Because Ali, during his career was said to have liked the ladies There were rumors he had multiple wives and such. Whether true I couldn't say/
Holmes not jumping. Such an intelligent move to protec ali
Yes,I just realized that. Good way to diffuse the situation.
You gat it
It's great to see this footage. Brings back memories.
There are four champions on that stage, and Phil Donahue is not one of them.
+Gebre Menfes Kidus nothing gets past you does it fella
George foreman
Gebre Menfes Kidus fuck and him
Did Donahue refer to Ken Norton as the car accident at the jump rope part? I liked how Frazier would change the subject or start talking when Donahue asked Ali a question. You could tell he was protecting Ali from embarrassment from not being able to talk.
Scobey scope, I was thinking the same thing during the interview. He appeared to have a lot of respect for Ali.
It's so good to see that and odd at the same time. Knowing how Joe took his bitterness with Ali to his grave. Joe never forgave him for the mean things Ali said about him in the lead up to their famous trilogy.
+Kool hand duke he did forgive him and Muhammed Ali did apologize to Frazier do ur search man
***** --It would have been nice for Joe to forgive him. Joe was truly hurt by some things Ali said and for good reason. Ali did apologize, but for Joe the hurt cut too deep.
www.examiner.com/article/philly-s-joe-frazier-hated-muhammed-ali
Show me credible information (link) saying Joe forgave Ali.
Even after he lost his speech, Ali is so endearing with just his presence and smile. Even when they others can talk, they sound like noise.
This is legit boxing media history GOLD ✊🔥👏
Thanks for the upload fam 🙏 if not for you we would never have been able to experience this moment in time for ourselves... in way 😏🔥☝️
Great to see all these great, remarkably successfully heavyweight boxers together.
I hope so.
Never realized how bad Donahue was. Patronizing
Yeah he’s downright disrespecting Ali
Loved these shows back in the day.. Larry Holmes just cracks me up
I think that Ken Norton looked mad the whole show because he had too much respect for Ali and this people are asking bad questions about the disease of muhammad....... Stupid show. I would have loved to see foreman in there, he would had say something to defend Ali
true! Foreman would definitely defended Muhammed Ali. Foreman a really great man. too bad he wasn't there.
Me too
This is your life program
No, Norton always presented like this while he was also always disgusted he never got more credit.
Fr

Ken Norton was a beast . He started so late and become one of the greatest boxers .
LOVE THESE GUYS !!! THEY MADE THE WORLD MORE INTERESTING AND FUN!
Joe is always the happy go lucky one in these appearences with others

Four Of The Best Heavyweight Boxers In History!
When Ken Norton talked about how he wants to be remembered, I cried, a lot.
min 32:00 best part of the whole video "ur not as dumb as u look" lol
Foreman is missing....
Foreman was helping the poor and with god. Amazing that foreman would win the title again 8 years later.
Foreman was in training for the Cooney fight , that's why he is missing .
Nah, they DEFINITELY knew not to call him 😂😂 uuuf it would have BEEN BAD
Darin Loveland Four years later. 1994.
